'Minecraft is Too Easy' is a mod for Minecraft that makes nearly every single block and item invaluable, as well as each day (and oh god the night!) a challenge to survive for even the most experienced Minecraft player. You won't skip past leather armor in favor of iron, and you won't brush aside wood tools for stone. You know gravel -- that primarily useless block only needed to craft a flint and steel? Get ready to make finding and digging it the most joyous occasion in your day. MiTE changes all the rules you're familiar with in Minecraft and breathes a whole new life into the game. You will be genuinely afraid of mobs again. And when you strike ore for the first time with your first pickaxe, you will know that same thrill and satisfaction you had the first time you ever played vanilla Minecraft.
The Server
The MiTE Migos Fan Server is a public server with the express goal of providing new players with some of the basic tools that tend to be a stumbling point getting into the mod, and to generally provide players with help and support. And, oh yeah, to have a fun MiTE server where people can come together, play, and build something awesome in this incredibly challenging mod.
New Players
Feel free, when you first log on, to take the supplies from any one of the chests in the house at spawn. (Pawn House) Each one of those chests contains the starter-kit the stewards of the server have provided in order to get you started. From Pawn House you'll find the entrance to the underground village Hoffen to the left (north), next to the giant pillar of wood and stone. Hoffen is a safe place (at least as safe as it gets in MiTE) in which you can take refuge and meet other players. Beds and chests are provided in the Tavern.
We strongly recommend that new players venture out of the spawn area once they've gotten their bearings in order to have the true MiTE experience of survival. In order to establish spawn, many of the local resources have been consumed by the build team and you'll find more fertile grounds a short walk away. Village Hoffen and the surrounding structures are always there to return to, and the server's stewards always there to help.
Da' Rules
Don't wreck up the joint.
More specifically:
Sugar Cane - around the waters of Hoffen may be taken freely, but take only the top two cane from full grown stalks and leave the bottom so it will regrow.
Crops - from the two large farms near Hoffen should be left if at all possible. In MiTE, crops have a chance to blight, and blight spreads, so we've planted our farms in a way that reduces the potential losses of blight. If you have to take crops from the fields, please replant the exact same crop in the exact square of soil you took it from.
Animals - within the animal farm are not to be killed under any circumstance. The server stewards will cull the herds as necessary and can provide you with meat and wool, upon request. And for the love of all that is holy, CLOSE THE GATE BEHIND YOU SO THEY DON'T ESCAPE OR GET EATEN BY MOBS! (yeah, that's a thing in MiTE too.)
Chests, Beds, Fences, Torches, etc - that make up the village and surrounding structures are there for everyone, took a lot of effort to get together, and you're a big jerk for even thinking about taking them. Gah! I just can't believe you sometimes! Seriously, Dave!
The Server Stewards
These fine people have built everything you see at spawn and are there to help. Unless they're busy and in a bad mood, in which case they're there to ignore you:

It's a fan-server, right? Fan of what or whom? Well, these guys:
Hopped onto server, emptied a chest and looked around, but have friends over. Will play around with it probably tomorrow. Kinda wanna try the homesteading game on a real server (new for me), but might be down for helping town some. On solo, I've played to mithril, and to a pickaxe on hardcore, because I'm insane, and for some reason hardcore mite amuses me.

then go east or northeast and homestead
we wont bother you
with each other and hear about the exploits of other people that are on the world. My creeper death as blown into lava was my favorite
Or pawn discovering that Ghasts in the Nether are scary. (and died of course)
I'm not entirely certain where I've ended up, lol. I got turned around at some point while wandering the swamp. Have found an extreme hills biome though, which suits me well. Plenty of gravel. Will probably end up having to sail back and forth to the nearby swamp to make a farm, since XHills are bad for farming. Doing decently, have a couple nuggets and a tiny little bolt hole that I'll expand as time goes on. For now though, it's a roof and keeps the critters out, for the most part. The Blood Moon was a little scary, ghouls at my door and no weapon, broke all my sticks, but made it through alive. No deaths yet. Still cursed. Know where the witch is though, so once I'm prepared I know where to go to probably find veggies, and a chest.

Yeah I did that also one time running through the night. And blood moon, were.
And no deaths yet good job. Any pictures you can post? Love to see the home stead
Respectfully asking, Since the server is public, will all the players act mature though?
Well kinneth, Chris, and I will.
now pawn on the other hand? Watch his videos and decide for yourself.
pawn I did try to search for him but he is more than a half day from the town with sprinting away so I tuned around and came back just in time before i died.
dreamcatcher I will find you. and your little hobbit hole.
Anyway, did a wander. Did not find town. Did find a small village in the desert. Looks like someone had been there once, since most of the crops were blighted, but there was enough that I now have one of each veggie. Last I logged, I was in a different hole in the ground, a bit out of zombie-eating-villager range of the village, in the desert, desperately lost, but with a half dozen stacks of gravel and a bunch of carrots.
Bit worried about getting home, since I came with a boat and the boat broke (borke'd) from hitting too many lillypads.
Fun times. Some day, I will make maps, and look at the lay of the land, and I will laugh and laugh and laugh.
Ok, made it to town. Have some idea where my home is in relation. Didn't really need anything from town, as I had gotten a ton of veggies from that village (replanted some, but things were soooo blighted it didn't seem worth doing too much). Stole one melon, hope no one minds. Now have ever form of vegetation(anyone need pumpkins?). Wanted to leave my gravel somewhere, didn't want to leave on a newbie box, so wandered around looking for a chest with space. Ended up putting them in the chest upstairs in the building with all the pink and red sheep. Also fed your cows, because one can never have too many cows, and I had plenty of wheat from that village. Now the great trek home.
Advice about the hobbles: dig a 2 deep hole in front and put a trapdoor over it. Then one can open the trapdoor once across it and zombies can't get to the door. As is, I keep dropping sand in the tunnel and the zombies lose interest in the door for some reason. Guess they don't know to path through both sand and a door. Useful knowledge.

I kinda wish I knew where town was, lol. I would be into trading massive heaps of gravel for food.
Nice!
I -can't- hold my breath. Stupid witch.

and I am almost out of gravel
Send out a search party! Look for broken twigs and ... giant holes in the landscape where the gravel used to be.
Sound like a great mod and a fun server!

Don't worry. I know a really good solution to the problem.
...it may involve a bit of fire, though.
