Hello, my name is Kendall (Mhwrestler) and I am looking to recruit a decent amount of members for my new whitelisted community based vanilla Minecraft server. I decided to create this server because I have failed to come by a vanilla server with a mature and friendly yet fun community (Much like Mindcrack). I'm hoping this server can be filled with great players that can all get along very well and with that being said I'll be very strict with how I pick out the applicants below, so I advise you if you are really interested in joining this community of Minecrafters then you will put a lot of effort into your your app. I'll be private messaging you if you have been accepted, and if you do not receive a message than I'm sorry but you didn't make the cut.
About the Server
It will obviously be hosted 24/7 and in the US. You must be 16 years of age or older. It is run on the most stable and current snapshots. We will be having a nice spawn town mainly consisting of shops, but feel free to add any structures or builds/games you feel can add to the fun environment (But must be useful or serve a purpose please) I really want the server to be balanced so I obviously cant control this put everyone shouldn't become OP as fast as possible so I advise everyone to take it slow and enjoy the fresh world! I also hope that everyone won't run off in the beginning and we can all help one another survive and gather basic supplies in the spawn. Put ElyciumMC somewhere in your app so I know you read these paragraphs. Obviously no killing of the ender dragon as that will be community orientated, and I also wish that players can co-lab with each other for bigger projects and builds. Like I said I want this to be a community! You most certainly do not have to record or stream but you are more than welcome to if you are that type of person and have a channel. ALSO this is very important, there is some terrain changes coming in 1.8 and I'd be nice if we didn't have to run thousands of blocks to find those changes, so stay close to spawn until that update comes (It isn't far away anyway). Other than that I expect everyone to know the basic requirements of anyone accepted, so we can all enjoy ourselves and anything I missed I will discuss in the skype group chat! I shouldn't have to list rules and if you need to be told rules you aren't fit for this server. Any questions or concerns you can ask in your app.
Application Process
I will be accepting the applications I see expect my expectations at one time, so I can pick out the best so please be patient as you will be notified when I know you deserve a spot on the whitelist. I'm looking for maturity and proper grammar as well as lengthy responses, anything that does not provide enough info will be discarded.
Max (Knightkick158) and myself will review applications.
Good luck to all applicants

How do you consider yourself a community player (Provide examples)?:
What does being in a community mean to you?:

Skype (Don't need a mic) (Can PM): skinyWaffles (and yes, I will gladly converse with the community)
How do you think you will fit into this community and what can you bring?: I have always wanted to be a part of a community where everyone can live at peace and not have to be afraid of someone griefing you builds when you log off. I have searched for many servers and have yet to find it. Hopefully, if I am accepted, this will be that one server. I can contribute to the server, ElyciumMC, through innovation and good times.
What are your strong points in Minecraft and what do you mainly like to do?: I have been playing Minecraft since its infancy days in alpha. This means I have seen all of the changes happen in front of my eyes. I remember when you could place a ladder every other block and still get up. I remember builder a structure to kill my first Enderman. Now I know all of that wasn't necessary to say but, I wanted to get the point across that I know the ins and outs of the game. I can help people if they need it. I mainly like to take the game slow and not do everything within the first couple of days. I like to take the time to go out and hunt for food and plunge into caves in the search for diamonds. I like to build farms eventually, making easy survival as efficient as possible. Opening up shops to the community is always one of my favorite things to do. Also, I absolutely love making redstone contraptions. Even though I'm not that great at it, everyday, I become more knowledgeable.
What is your past experience with server play like and with Minecraft in general?: I have answered this question above so I will keep this response smaller than the previous ones. For me, servers are ruined by people that "donate" to the servers and gain the ability to use commands. To me, this is as annoying as griefers. So I have been searching for a successful mature community since I started playing. I love playing Minecraft and have started multiple worlds to build creations, test new redstone inventions, and live in different environments.
How do you consider yourself a community player (Provide examples)?: When I play on servers, I try to make many farms for everyone to use. Most recently, people kept dying of starvation so I constructed a completely automatic chicken farm. I have also built a wither skeleton farm so the community can obtain beacons easier. I love to take place in events like, killing the dragon and creating the next big server collaboration project.
What does being in a community mean to you?: Being a community means helping your neighbor out, respecting each other, and getting along with everyone. If I am selected to be on the server, you can guarantee I will be a team player.
Provide some background info about yourself: I grew up playing baseball. I have played for both the community league and school team. I have invested a great amount of time into RuneScape and Call of Duty. Now before you quickly judge me based off of those games, let me justify. I started playing RuneScape over ten years ago, when it was still a pure, fun game. With CoD, I don't play the public side of it. I play competitively. My friends and I have won multiple tournaments. I just graduated high school in the US. I will be leaving for college in five days but, that definitely does not mean that my time on the server will slow down one bit. I graduated with a 3.8 gpa in high school. It is a good gpa if you consider that many of my classes were computer science or very advanced math classes. I consider myself a well rounded person overall.
Provide screenshots of past builds or creations/contraptions: I can't provide many screenshots because I recently bought a new laptop. I will provide as many pictures as possible. I have built all of these in survival before but, I do not have the worlds anymore so I recreated them. The 2x2 flush trap door was my design from the ground up. I know these aren’t impressive but, if you would like to see me build something, just ask and I will gladly do so. http://imgur.com/a/RwxoV
(I crashed my browser 3 times trying to upload images to this post so I uploaded them to imgur. Sorry for the inconvenience.)
