I'm looking for a server that will host 20-30 people, and that costs around 10-20 NZD. I will be hosting a factions server, where there will be a lot of TNT action, redstone action, and I need it to be great in hit detection in PvP. It also, needs to be hosted in Australia or New Zealand for ping reasons.
I need full FTP access, for I will completely replacing everything in the folder with the server I have right now on my computer, for my one is all set up and ready to go. It has approximately 50 plugins, so I hope the server I choose will run it.

We have racks in two data centers, located in Phoenix, AZ and Dallax, TX.
Thanks for running the ping from NZ though, Much appreciated!
Keep in mind It's from a very incredible connection, most people in NZ would expect around 160 - 170ms in that case.
I'm guessing that hit your Phoenix boxes, as I normally get around 140ms to Los Angles, not to mention 150ms to Dallas wouldn't be possible

Interesting, well that is very wrong..
2GB's would be sufficient - when I get time I might edit that wiki page!
With 30 people on a large world, then maybe 3GB, but even I doubt that..
For comparison, I used to run a 50 slot OPPrison server on 1GB of RAM, all slots filled without issues, including the decently sized plotworld, etc.

I'm just going off 20-30 people, factions, around 50 plugins, a warning about the amount of TNT, I would go 2GB minimum. Still even then, 2GB is hard for Aus/NZ hosts to meet with that budget.

Yep! 2GB is a good start, perhaps 3GB if things get very intense.
Indeed his budget is not much to work with, lets hope he can come across a lot of discount codes! :-)

2GB would do fine, even less, easily.. Not sure where you got 4GB from..
