So I created a MC server(GGservers hosting), but after about a day, I tried to launch it and it started spamming my FTP with files like hs_err_pid26734.log
Here is a copy of the log, it bugs me because it says it wants 1.6 gb of memory, but my server has 5gb of ram and only has 32% missing from memory, so I'm wondering what the hell is going on?
GGServers has a good reputation for being really slow responding to tickets, ripping their customers off, overselling their nodes, and being rude while you are asking for a refund to their bad services. I recommend that you stop hosting with GGServers, because you will get the bad end of the stick when it comes down to the ending. If you're looking for a budget host, I recommend checking out HerosHosting https://heroshosting.co.uk, they have Budget Nodes at $2/GB, and their support team is really nice and active.
Hope I helped you,

I have evidence of GGServers overselling, so theres no doubt his problem is exactly that. I can also agree with everything else you have listed there. I would too recommend he switches companies.
They can sell at $2/GB because their hardware is end of life and discontinued, no good for any medium to large server. I wouldn't buy more than a couple GB's of RAM for their Budget hosting because of those CPU's. So you can't really say they're "decent and reasonably priced" VS. a host that uses up to date, modern hardware.
At the least, I would go for their "standard" hosting or with another company that uses decent hardware. Their Budget hosting would really only be good for small servers, like if you just wanted to play with friends, for example.
You're kind of right. Our 'budget' hardware isn't top grade. That's why we sell it at $2.00 per GB and 8GB maximum. But don't get me wrong. If it couldn't handle it I would not sell that service. I would never sell a bad product to a client. That's why we have standard and premium plans (Still at very low prices) that use top of the range systems.
Feel free to comment on our thread and ask clients what our services are like because we're confident they meet client standards.
Thanks.
Isn't top grade? Not sure if you would even consider X5650's low grade.
Okay, that was a bit harsh, they're about medium grade! Still, an 8GB server with End of Life 2.66GHz CPU, yeah, your definitely going to run into CPU bottlenecks before RAM. If I was you I would cap off the Budget plans around 4GB, but, of course I'm not you!

You deserve the vouch, for being one of the only decent, reasonably priced hosts.
