I would love to be a Lore Writer. I have a really creative mind for fallout type servers.
If you think you can, just PM me an example pertaining to Fallout, and lets just say some general lore for a fallout Seattle. Go ahead and message me that, and if it works im make sure to let you in ^-^
I would love to either help build, be an admin/mod, or write lore. If any positions are available please PM me so I can start on what I need to do to get any of these positions.
You could possibly do all three ^-^, If you would like to post a image or two of your builds that'd be lovely, you could also give me a small example of possible lore and if you are really interested you can add me on skype: TealMau5.
Hey, I would REALLY love to play on this server! Seeing as it isn't really up, I'd still like to keep close tabs on this thread for more news. Also, I'd like to be a lore writer. I've had some ideas in my head that could really make for good lore! Anyway, you should PM me when the server is up. Thank you!
Current Progress on the server.
We got bored and decided to take a bunch of pictures, and here is our result. Feel free to give you response to the pictures.
Some of the pictures got smaller, but im assuming they aren't important, and am not going to fix them.
Sorry to interrupt. I own FallCraft: NV as you may know and I want to put my point out. This project Manhattan will not work in my opinion as it is bringing together all the server owners which WILL cause arguments. The way that there will be no owner is a bad idea, ultimately in my opinion the person who pays for it each month is going to say " Hey, I pay for this, my decision", so the owner committee thing you have planned is not going to work. Also, the fact that you were willing to destroy your server The Lost Days, which was probably the biggest fallout server to make something new is abit worrying to me. What if you do the same with this guys? I also have been told alot about the staff being unfair and unkind to people which is also concerning. I know you are trying to remove all the competition between servers, that is not going to happen I dont think as FallCraft: NV is staying up and not coming into Project Manhattan as I know it will all end up downhill. I'm not trying to put you down or anything, I would never do that but that's my opinion, good luck though.
Well, in the very rare cases, you seem to be misinformed.
Firstly, all of these points have been brought up by Gabe (Owner of OWB) and all have been settled. Mind you, he is still contemplating the whole thing. Let me tell you what i told him.
We all know that whoever pays for the server may feel they have more power. But, we will be running a cloud system. Meaning multiple server hooked under one IP. That means, if one owner believes he should be in charge because he helps pay, we just remove his server from the cloud, and he can do as he wishes from there.
The board of owners has been proven to work fine. For example, and a damn good one, is Sins Of Our Fathers. Who uses a board of owners that outnumbers even the amount of admins they have. And they seem to be doing very well. It is all trust, and not simple something i can tell you to do, its more something you will have to learn to do.
We never destroyed Lost Days, all rumors of that were spread by TmynameisT, and that is solely because all the staff left him at the same time. None of the staff liked him, but he blamed there opinion on me. The reason we ditched him is because he did literally nothing. He didn't understand how to configure plugins, pretended to be other players (even putting the server is offline mode, leading to "hackers"), blamed all his problems on others, wasn't even on the server for the last 2-3 weeks we were there, and when he did, he simply dicked around. We aren't at fault for wanting to leave him. And, once he figured out about the merge, he proceeded to ask to merge his server in (mind you, he had only him to offer at that point), and once we told him no (but offered him a mod position), he proceeded to freak out, remove us from staff and start blaming us for everything.
And i don't believe any rumors of our staff being rude or unfair to certain players are true, or even have any spec of truth.
We treat every player as fair as possible, mind you some do get mad when we don't agree, and proceed to spread such lies.
Such as Wolfie_Seekar. He had at one point been banned (he was KoSing, refusing to RP, griefing, disrespecting players/admins) and had proceeded to tell another player that he was going to grief our server. He did this twice.
We also aren't going to remove all competition. Both Aftermath and Sins Of Our Father turned down the merger, one of which chose no for all the wrong reasons.
Overall, i don't believe you should turn down the merge for these reasons before actually running your concerns by us. Thanks for at least letting me have a chance to rebuttle, and im sorry you don't feel the merge would work.
That's a good point, sorry for being mis informed. Also the main reason I am turning down the merge is that we at FallCraft have worked exceptionally hard on our map and server as a whole. I would hate to let down my players by saying that I am joining in something new thus closing all they worked for. Sorry but I don't think FallCraft will be coming into this server merge. We have worked too hard to start again. Why don't you put underneath where it says: Current Servers apart of the merger, put a list of all Fallout servers, then put a strike through the servers who have turned down it, then people will know who is and is not involved. If you are doing this please strike FallCraft: NV out. Thankyou for this offer though
I understand, and im glad you at least have rethought on why you have said no to the merge.
And i do understand completely, and you were one of that last on the list to be asked. Mind you, i do not hold any feeling for you turning us down, nor do i believe you weren't "worthy" or the merge.
And to respond to why we aren't, its mostly because we don't want people assuming the ones not crossed out are supporting us, rather than having all interaction and discussions up in the air. Its just better we don't put that up.
You're work on the map is understandable, and one of the biggest obstacles for any server thinking about joining the merge. But yes, i do understand and do agree it is a very valid reason.
Sorry for the random post also, it may seem a bit dazed, seeing as i have been building on the server all night, dealing with problems, and doing whatever else. I'm literally running on Monster at the moment, so sorry for any redundant sentences, or incoherent typings. Once again, thank you for at least learning both sides of why we left Lost Days, seeing as most people as of late seem to just assume we were the bad people in the whole mess.
Good day, and may your server be friendly competition when release date comes.
