King Uther ruled Camelot with great might, he used fear to maintain control of his kingdom. Such ruling can never last though, and Uther knew that more than anyone. He had one heir to the throne, his son Arthur, a brave knight who commanded armies with great honor and skill. Arthur grew up as both a prince, and a knight, spending his entire life learning how to rule a kingdom just like his father before him. His mother was said to be killed by magic when he was very young, and for this reason, Uther could never trust magic in his kingdom.
Magic was outlawed, any form of sorcery found was punishable by death. Uther had lost his wife to these arts, and he had nearly lost his own life many times, he could never trust any mages again. And so began what many consider the “Dark Times”, magic began to be seen as something evil, when it could very well be used for good.
Arthur may have been Uther’s only child, but he had another whom he considered family. Morgana le Fay, a young lady who he adopted when her father, a good friend of the king’s, passed away in battle. Morgana spent the remainder of her childhood under the care of Uther, but she had many secrets he could never know of. Unbeknownst to everyone in Camelot, except for one boy, Morgana had much power when it came to sorcery.
When Morgana found that she had these powers, she knew that Uther could never know about it, she kept to herself, and began to hate the king for his anger towards magic. She knew that she could never be herself around him, knowing that he could never trust who she really was. The hatred kept growing, day in and day out she grew stronger and more impatient with the king. After many years, Morgana left the castle and enlisted the help of Odin, a king who lead a rival kingdom of Camelot. They marched upon Camelots walls, combining Morgana’s magic, and Odin’s strength to end the lives of many.
After many long years, the battle came to an end, Camelot’s walls were too strong for Odin and his men to breach, Uther’s army was far too strong to best. War had been waged for 3 long years and although it was over, there was no true conclusion. Odin retreated, the remains of his army in a sorrowed tow, but not without leaving a final mark behind. He sent an assassin to Camelot, a trained one to rid the city of it’s king.
The celebration had only just ended, the guests returned to their homes and their chambers, king Uther to his own. He looked out the window, gazing happily upon the beauty that was his kingdom. The hint of a smile in the corner of his face slowly disappeared as a sharp blade shot through his chest. He coughed and sputtered as his body tumbled lifelessly to the floor, his killer vanishing into the shadows.
A cold breath fell over the land the next morning, color was faded from the faces of the townspeople as they wandered the town aimlessly. Arthur stood by the side of his father’s bed, his thoughts taken over by Morgana’s betrayal. The court physician packed up his things, he nodded towards Arthur and went on his way. Arthur closed his eyes and pulled the blanket over his father’s face before leaving his chambers, it was time for him to rule his kingdom.
The land of Albion is as old as time itself. One of the first kingdoms to be founded, Albion has withstood, wars, diseases and magic. Albion is regarded as a very peaceful land, though the people inside it are very different. Though without all of these different towns, Albion would not be what it is today, it is the people and the experiences, that have made it what it is.
Camelot, a name that rings throughout the land, a town that is known among men as a place of hope. Many see Camelot as a strong and honorable city. Run by a long line of King’s who fought in many wars. Though not all see Camelot as a beautiful place, many magic users see it as a place of evil since Camelot banned the use of these arts, and since Camelot was so highly regarded, there were many who followed in its tracks.
King Uther, a fierce but experienced King, was seen by the people with much fear, he used this to his advantage, controlling the city, and the kingdom with this. As the man who put these laws into place, he is often seen as an enemy, even though all he was doing was trying to protect his land.
The city of Camelot plays host to many different buildings, there are many shops and many homes for the people of the land, as well as a beautiful castle, that serves as a landmark in Albion. Many events take place in the town such as tournaments and parties, many people come to Camelot in search of housing and safety, mostly because of the strength of its army.
Many years ago, a terrible famine plagued the land of Albion, the population increased and the King could not guarantee food for all the citizens of Camelot. The King and a few hand picked citizens searched the kingdom for fertile land, and the search ended quickly as they fell upon the earth just outside its walls. The King then ordered the immediate construction of several farms to feed his people and satisfy the demands.
Though it began as just a simple farm for the town, as the amount of farmers grew, it eventually became a town of it’s own, supplying not only Camelot, but other small towns nearby as well. It’s name grew to fame as it became known as one of Albions primary farming towns, and it remains as such to this day.
Ealdor has also become host to many mages, unbeknownst to the King of course, simply because Soldiers and Knights rarely patrol the grounds. Do not be mistaken though, Camelot still feels the need to perform check ups on the town!
Aethelstead is a village founded in the year of 1279 by Aethelred the Holy, Aethelstead is most known for being the last place Aethelread the Holy lived and being the location of the infamous Aethelstead chapel which rests upon the mountain.
Aethelstead is ruled by Arch bishop Anslyn Merilond, the tax levels are relatively low due to the fact that there isn’t much jobs available in town so the wealth flow is slow. Aethelstead has a tavern, a small marketplace, a chapel with a cemetery, a small residential area, and a large hostel.
Chances are that Aethelstead might go into the lumber business as their prime location right by a big forest, this would make the village a more wealthy town with more jobs available, but Archbishop Anslyn is not sure about the prioritizing of money as most of the villagers are happy and healthy as they have always been.
The village of Aethelstead does not want a town guard as Archbishop Anslyn is strongly against violence and the use of weapons, though soldiers still patrol the village because of safety reasons, Anslyn refuses to pay them himself as he is against it.
Viaris is a town famous for its large role within the mining industry. In the year 1242, a mining group found a ravine on their way back from a mining expedition. In this ravine they found endless amounts of ores, the King sent out the order to build a mining camp to extract the ores, but after two years the camp got so big they started making bigger buildings to house the workers.
According to local legend, when the Gods created the caves of Viaris they accidentally put a immortality spell on the ores so that they would reappear for an eternity, many people believe this is the most logical reason as to why the mining operation has lasted for almost 250 years, sceptics and wise men say it is just random coincidence that the caves are so rich with ores.
The majority of Viaris consists of strong men and women from all over Albion, their strength is needed to lift heavy ores on the crane, mine out several tons of ores everyday and to work in the labour intensive smithy. Viaris is the perfect city for those who like to work hard all day and spend their money in the tavern at night.
In Camelot, everyone has to work hard to rise up in rank, just because you start as a simple farmer, doesn't mean you can’t ever become royalty. Here is a list of jobs, their requirements, and their duties. Make sure to pick a job that interests you, because you won’t be able to change jobs very often.
You can only apply to tier one jobs, you must be promoted to get to the higher tiers. You may not apply for Nobility, unless you have been given permission by an Admin.
For the time being, the only people who can be mages, are those who have spent time on the server, and are trusted RPers.
We also do not need any more bandits right now, unless your app is really good, it won't be accepted.
The most basic and most important piece of the foundation of Camelot, the Citizen. Citizens spend their time working for people in town, whether they gather resources for the blacksmith, or help keep the tavern in order, a town without Citizens is a town without structure.
As a Citizen, your main concern is earning money by helping people in town to complete their jobs. You can go around gathering ores for a Blacksmith, or harvesting wheat for the Baker, finding odd jobs around town is how you make a living.
The Citizen class is best for people who don’t want to be stuck doing one thing. As a Citizen, you will make the same amount of many as the higher tiers, but the chances of having a job at all times will be much lower than the others.
So you one day wish to join the ranks of Knights of Camelot, do you? Well you’re going to have to start at the lowest position, Soldier. Don’t think that being a Soldier doesn’t matter though, Camelot is renowned across the land for it’s army, honorable men who risk their lives for the people of the land.
Soldiers are exempt from taxes, but unlike Knights, they do not live within the castle walls. They are also usually responsible for their own gear, and they get paid by the King or the Knights for their duties.
If you are interested in becoming a Knight, and want to defend the kingdom from Mages, Bandits, and Outsiders, then consider becoming a Soldier, so that you can move up the ranks, and maybe one day hold a seat at the round table!
After you have spent a considerable amount of time as a Citizen of Camelot, it may be time to consider choosing a more stable job. A Woodsman spends his days either working hard at a sawmill, or travelling the forests in search of trees to cut, and logs to gather.
Wood is an incredibly valuable resource, being the basis for nearly everything we can create, it is always in high demand. As a Woodsman, you earn your keep by either working in town at the mill, or by gathering and selling various types of wood from across the land.
If you are someone who loves to RP, and wants to spend as much time in town, while also being able to earn a stable amount of money, then you should consider becoming a Woodsman.
Upon spending some time as a hardworking Citizen of Camelot, it is time to move on to a profession that might suit your style a bit more. As a Farmer, you toil your lands in order to feed the people of the city. Gathering wheat, melons, vegetables and animals, your job is to keep the kingdom healthy and happy.
Most of a Farmer’s money will come from selling to the town’s Baker, the castle Kitchen, or even the Innkeeper. Everyone needs food, so you will always have plenty of work to do, as long as you stay near a city.
If you enjoy RPing, and like to farm, then perhaps the ideal job for you is toiling the lands, producing food. Farmers will always make plenty of money, and have lots of time to talk to other people whilst doing so.
After spending time as a Citizen in Camelot, I guess it’s time to settle down, and choose a more stable job. As a miner, you spend time in the mines around the city, gathering ores and finding rare minerals to sell.
Your main source of income as a Miner is selling the ores and gems to townsfolk, or by setting up a deal with artisans. While you may earn more by selling to people directly, there is a much higher chance of actually getting paid, by trading to the town Blacksmith.
Mining is the best class, for those who love digging deep into the earth, exploring dangerous caverns, and earning a solid pay. Though mining is more based on luck, as opposed to the other Tier 2 jobs, if you pull in a good haul, you’ll earn lots of money.
As the only Tier 1 Artisan, a Shopkeeper is the basic foundation for all of the Tier 2 classes. As a Shopkeeper, you are not held down into selling one type of item, your wares can be far more varied than most other Artisans.
You earn your keep by renting out stalls in the marketplace, and selling the things you have gathered or traded for. While this is a very cost effective job, it is much harder for you to compete with the Tier 2 Artisans, due to them being able to sell things from their buildings, as opposed to a stall for a short period of time.
If you enjoy RP, and you like to barter and trade, then being a Shopkeeper may be a wise decision. As previously stated, it may not be a completely stable job, but it does allow you to travel to other parts of the world to sell your wares.
The Huntsman is the Artisan that sells the items you gather from hunting monsters, and traveling the world. Huntsmen mostly sell arrows, bows, and light armors, but some are even caught selling ingredients to certain Alchemists. While this is seen as illegal, it is often the only way many Huntsmen can earn a healthy living.
Most of the Huntsman's income will be from selling archery equipment, it is often fairly cheap to purchase, and they can sell it for more than it's worth. As a secondary source, many choose to sell mob drops to beginner Alchemists, as they will usually buy in bulk in order to mass produce their potions.
If you are interested in an Artisan position, and you wish to deal with weaponry and monsters, then being a Huntsman is probably the right job for you. It's also a good choice if you want a job that has a possible “shady” side to it, since you will be dealing with some people who use magic.
A Baker sells baked goods to the townspeople. Bakers spend their time mixing ingredients and baking fine breads and desserts. You will buy raw ingredients from a market or directly from a farmer, sell food and if you want you can try and deliver food to people’s houses.
A Baker’s main source of income is from the sale of baked goods. You are free to set your prices but remember to factor in the costs of ingredients. Being friends with a farmer could allow you to strike a deal with them.
If you want to run a shop and enjoy baking then being a Baker is a good choice to make. You will provide a service to many people and get to know them as well. You are free to choose what baked goods you sell, you may choose to only sell bread and deliver it around town or offer a wider variety of baked goods.
Innkeepers are those who control Inns and Taverns in different towns. Although it is often a laid back job, where you spend a lot of time talking to people, and spreading information, it can also be a very difficult job. You have to sell food, hire employees, buy your own materials, and keep your Inn under control.
As an Innkeeper, you rely on your Inn to bring you profit. People rent rooms, and the money goes directly to you, the more rooms you have the more money you earn, the location you choose for your Inn will alter your earnings drastically. You can also achieve more income by hosting a Tavern or Restaurant in your Inn, by selling food, you no longer just attract those who need a place to stay.
If you enjoy talking to people, sharing stories, and playing host to others, then you should definitely consider working as an Innkeeper. Your time will mostly be spent sharing rumors with the locals, selling food, and inviting people to live in your Inn.
The Blacksmith provides an important service to the knights and workers of the town. Blacksmiths spend most of their time forging tools and armour as well as providing repair services to those who need it. You will buy raw materials, sell goods, provide a service to the people and provide simple jobs to any civilian looking for work.
A Blacksmith’s main income will come from selling tools to the workers and providing repairs to those who need it. The costs of repairs will be up to you but remember to factor in the cost of materials. Making friends with the knights will also provide a steady source of money as their weapons and armour become worn from battles and training often.
If you enjoy running a business, crafting tools and smelting ores or providing a service to people then being a Blacksmith is a good choice to make. It is a job that you can specialise in, be it only selling tools in a small farm town and providing cheap repairs or managing a kingdom’s armory and charging a hefty sum for your services. When not tending to your shop you can be conversing with the people and look for repair contracts.
The Knights of Camelot are often regarded as the most honorable men of Albion. They spend each day bravely protecting the land and the people within it. Only the strongest men will make it into the rank of Knights, and they will lead the army alongside the King.
Knights will get paid simply for fighting and protecting the land. They receive food and shelter within the castle walls, unless they prefer to live outside with their families. While this job may not be the best paying, the benefits that come along with it are often enough to make up for it.
If you are someone who enjoys playing and RPing, with a sense of power, and a position close to that of royalty, then perhaps Knighthood is the right choice for you. If your play style is similar to that of a guard, or fighter, or authority figure, than a Knight should be a fairly easy job for you to play.
The priests of Camelot are the voices of the Gods and help the people with their personal struggles, they are therapists and preachers. Priests live a minimalistic lifestyle and don’t care much about wealth, they want their money to help out those who need it more. Those who choose to become a priest must devote their lives to the church of the holy seven and it’s rules, this includes pacifism, avoiding great lusts like alcohol and other addictives, and only using the money they don’t need to help those less fortunate.
Priests can get money by collecting donations to their churches or get paid by the higher ranked nobility. More often than not, they do not require a payment, simply because they are protected by the cities they live in. A Priest will usually not have to pay taxes much like many others in the Nobility tier.
If you like to roleplay generous, helping and kind characters then the priest class is something for you, priests are highly respected for their work and all dedicate their lives to make the world a better place, and their high education. The priests are tax exempted and can manage to live a long and good life with the little payment they get.
A Noble is someone who holds a very high position within a city, or a kingdom. More often than not, a Noble is a well known friend of the King or Queen, and therefore holds a seat inside of the castle. Often rich and well known, a Noble is regarded as a high class citizen, and a person who is deserving of respect.
Much like others of the Nobility tier, a Noble will not make much money, they will simply live luxuriously inside of a Castle, and live their lives without having to pay taxes. Although they are often deserving of their position, many people see them as freeloaders, who live off the riches of the Kingdom.
If you enjoy the aspect of RP more than the actual playing, then being a Noble would be a good choice. Though it is not an easy position to gain. In order to become a Noble, it is imperative that you are a good roleplayer, as well as someone who has spent a lot of time on the server, similar to that of a higher Nobility.
As the second highest position available, the Queen has a lot of responsibility, the most notable being her inheritance to the throne upon the King's death. Her method of becoming Queen is different from the Kings, the King must choose his Queen and marry her for her to gain the control.
The Queen does not earn a pay, much like all the other members of the Nobility tier. She lives inside of the Castle, and shares income with the King. Her main goal is to earn the trust of the subjects, whether it be by talking to townspeople, holding large banquets, or simply acting responsible in the absence of their King.
If you enjoy playing as a peacekeeper, as well as someone with a lot of power, then a Queen is a good choice. Her responsibilities are only slightly fewer than that of a Kings, unless she inherits the throne. Most of a Queens gameplay will revolve around roleplay as opposed to working, so that is important to take into account.
Kings are the highest position of power available in the land of Albion. Most Kings will come from a long line of Kings before themselves, so it is often hard for others to become such powerful people. A King is responsible for the survival of his people, and the success of his land, without a good King, a city will fall.
Kings earn their money by collecting taxes, or inheriting money from their long line of wealthy family members. Most Kings do not rely on having money in order to supply their kingdom, they leave the trading and supplying to the Workers and Artisans of the town. Of course they are often seen as the wealthiest, simply because they rarely have to purchase things, and they get most things for free as part of being royalty.
If you have spent a lot of time on the server, and it has been seen that you are a good role player, there is a chance that you may be able to run a kingdom at some point. Though it would take a lot of time and experience to obtain this position, it could very well be something you strive for.
Occasionally referred to as spellbinders. These mages, while not known for casting spells are able to communicate with, and weave magical properties into various items, such as tools and armour.
The ability to weave magic into items is seen by itself as a form of magic. The ability to manipulate spells unto a more physical form is respected by the other mages. Most acts of enchanting require a keystone of sorts known as an enchantment table. The only other way to enchant an object is to brandish it in the flames of a dragon, however this practice is obsolete due to the extinction of dragons.
Because of the need for a keystone, most enchanters set up a permanent camp. They look for places that are relatively safe but remote to avoid accidental discovery. Some enchanters are given a court position, however this is a rare occurrence, especially in Camelot.
Most commonly known as the sorcerers able to transform lead into gold, Alchemists are those who have learnt magic not because of a gift, but because of knowledge and time.
Although the act of creating potions and remedies is not magic, conjuring certain necessary materials, and using magic to prepare such things is highly illegal. The magic used is often considered basic sorcery, and regarded as “childs play” among more advanced mages.
Alchemists are commonly found hiding out alone in various places in the land, others can be found inside of large cities, practicing their magic in complete secrecy. As one of the harder magics to detect, it often goes unseen under the noses of other men.
Known as the healers across Albion, Druids are a people that those without magic will rarely meet. They spend most of their days praying, and restoring nature to its true form. Druids have been around for as long as magic has been a part of the land, they were said to have been placed on this earth to guard the forests with their magic.
A Druid’s magic consists of mostly healing spells and life force spells, often generating plants and materials before them. Some Druids are even able to transform themselves into wolves, or if they are incredibly skilled, into bats.
Druids often set up small camps around the land, usually hidden beneath the trees or inside of dark caves. The camps will usually consist of beds, food, and magical trinkets. Sometimes, Druids will create deep wells that are said to hold burial to the souls of Druids who could not pass to the other realms, anyone who comes in contact with these wells, is said to be cursed.
The Elementalist is a mage who believes in true balance, to these sorcerers, there is no good or evil. An Elementalist will never hurt a non-mage purposefully, nor will they save them. They believe that magic is never to be used for one person's gain, only for the betterment of the land.
Elementalist’s rely on the natural world for their magic, they use elements such as fire, water, and ice. Most of their magic relies on the idea of wounding, or impeding their enemies movements, they rarely end a fight with the death of their opponent, unless their own life is at risk.
Although they never travel alone, the groups that they are with are never more than three or four. Able to fend for themselves, Elementalists only travel with others in order to improve their chances of survivability in a world that is against the use of magic.
Many believe that Necromancers have failed to roam the land for many years, but it is not true. Although they are few, these dark sorcerers still plague the land with their evil magic, summoning the dead and plaguing the healthy.
Necromancers use their magic to bring to life those who have passed. They can use spells to control the minds of their enemies, and to plague them with disease. Some more extremist necromancers perform self experimentation to achieve immortality. The nature of their magic causes them to be the hunted down by kingdoms, to either be tried and executed or used as soldiers in times of war and are expected to be killed in battle.
The few necromancers that are left are near impossible to find, they communicate with nobody, and they rarely travel outside of their hiding places. They typically reside in dark, and untouched areas of the land, places where the sun has never shined.
Known by many sorcerers as the most noble of magic users, Dragonlords were those who would command the Dragons that once roamed freely over Albion. Though Dragon’s were once seen as a threat, once under the command of a Dragonlord, they would become tame and valuable creatures.
Dragonlords have the ability to command dragons by speaking in their language. Simply knowing how to “speak dragon” is not enough, actually being able to command them comes with a gift, a gift that can only be passed on to a son or daughter on the Dragonlords death bed.
It is said that very few Dragonlords remain alive today. They lie in hiding and have not been seen for over 20 years.
As the only member of the Outlander group (so far), the Bandit is the most basic level of those without magic that do not live within a city. The title does not label this class as one that steals, the Bandit is a character who lives out in the wild, relying on his/her own skill for their survival.
Most Bandit’s do not need money, they gather their own resources and survive within a small group. Though they are often found selling their gathered (or stolen) goods, to traders within small villages, often as far away from Camelot’s protection.
If you enjoy RPing, but don’t want to be part of a large city, then perhaps becoming a Bandit would be a good choice. They have some contact with the cities, but for the most part, they are on their own, or in a small group with other Outlanders.

Take a look at the rules again, you may have missed something
If all of this interests you, then take a look below. Read our lore,
Magic was outlawed, any form of sorcery found was punishable by death.
