Our world uses several mods to help flesh out roleplaying to it's fullest; we use such ones as s86 Powers, Factions and LWC [maximum locks; 8], along with several custom mods made by the server, for the server. These help prevent griefing from other players- not that griefing is tolerated in any way, shape or form.
There are some things you should know before starting;
The world of Stalgath is inhabited by many unique races; such as the aquatic saurials, earthy dwarves, tree hugging.. err I mean nature loving elves- and of course the adaptable humans and rather uppity orcs. Among these races are special races that hold interesting powers; like the godly seraphim, dark ender fiends, almighty minotaurs, fiery nether demons and beastly werewolves.. and those finicky nymphs that tend to the great tree Terrasil.
Each race has it's own unique abilities and powers, and some races can make items that no other race can!
While travelling our fine world you will also come across guilds which can further specialize your training, granting you far more potential when pitted against other competitive adventurers; become a miner for the mining guild! Maybe a mage that can enchant is more your style? How about a thief who can pickpocket? The possibilities are endless!
Beware however as our world also has three very powerful gods.. each one covering their own unique facet; you have Pan, the god of nature and survival who watches over the balance of the world. There is Dante, a fierce battle diety whose followers are unmatched in combat. Last but not least is Lord Vescon, a mysterious god who is master of the realms- and is said to have as many faces as the realms he controls.
Each god grants their followers unique gifts- that is, if they are so worthy.. when you first arrive your priority must be to not only find shelter, but to build a shrine to your chosen diety- for otherwise there might be dire consequences! It also doesn't hurt to leave an offering behind for them.. repeated offerings are well rewarded and may even yield quests from your lord!
If you are curious about how our world came to be, here is an ancient text for you to mull over;
"Before the days of man the world was a simple place consisting of the natural terrain, the animals, and a god. This god who was called The Creator decided one day to make humans to entertain him. At first the humans were just play-things but the Creator took a liking to them and decided to keep them around. The humans learned how to survive quickly and created tools and homes.
They started to change over time and became different races. Orcs appeared from the humans that had lived in the Jungles and Deserts. Dwarves came from Humans that were underground for most of their lives. Finally Elves came from Humans that inhabited trees.They were progressing fast and The Creators' nemesis called Moonblood created giant spiders to attack them at night. They learned how to defend themselves against the spiders and continued to progress. Moonblood then re-animated the bones of the fallen thus creating zombies and skeletons, he armed the skeletons with bows and arrows because of their frail bodys. The humanoids took longer to outsmart these creatures but once they did the creatures were no match for a prepared humanoid. The Creator was angered that Moonblood would do this, but also impressed that they adapted so well.
Moonblood decided to give the humanoids more of a challenge, he created living proximity bombs and tiny spiders that can poison them. This was the last straw the humanoids had outsmarted everything that was thrown at them, but what if they were thrown at each other? Moonblood stole from them causing conflict and eventually war. Now there were zombies and skeletons flooding the world Moonblood used this to his advantage and put them into his realm, The Nether, in the form of soulsand which is a substance Moonblood used for power and also to slow humans down.
The Creator the tried to stop Moonblood by flooding his realm with lava and fire, but he quickly learned how to resist its effects. The Creator used his power to imprison Moonblood in a new realm, The End, which he could not escape. But just as Moonblood was being imprisoned he played one final trick, he had developed a creature so powerful it could destroy entire realms it flew through the Creator's home realm, The Skylands, and destroyed it. The creature was loyal to Moonblood and tried to save him from being imprisoned, it flew at The Creator attempting to eat him alive.
The Creator realized what was happening too late and the realm destroyer flew through him into the closing portal to the end. The portal closed and with it Moonblood and the realm destroyer were trapped, the humans rejoiced! But alas their protector had been vanquished; or so they thought, The Creator did not have time to move but he did have enough time to split himself into three different bodies. Which make up the Gods as you know them today."
This tale has been passed down for centuries but a rumor has risen that there is a broken portal that leads to the End, and Moonblood is trying to trick someone into fixing it and unleashing him upon the world. Are you the one who can stop Moonblood? Or will you fall into his traps and be imprisoned in his place, or perhaps the gods will help you on your journey?

Had I the power, I would of course add more players :P. Other than that the only thing I can think of that I would change is our inability to set a home aside from the faction home.
We could probably do that, but it would be best if we could remove the home once someone joins a faction. I'm not sure how to do that.
I don't know, I like the idea of being able to have a personal home, and a faction home. I also think it would be better if the f home required a form of money, instead of a 30 minute cooldown. (Of course there would still be a 10 second wait to avoid teleporting out of battle)
We've been considering implementing a different form of money, what are your thoughts on this?
A "virtual" currency is really convenient seeing as you do not have to carry it around. I would support this as long as it is kept simple. I'd have it so you can transfer gold to this currency (but not back, at the risk of making things too easy).
