It may be better if lower-ranked guards trainee to regular to beta-newrank thingy could get a promotion based on how many hours they've spent on duty. This would probably require a plug-in of some sort but it would let those who work hard actually move up. This wouldn't apply to Alpha guard of course because we wouldn't want too many of them. Just a thought though to reward those who work hard without having to have people see what they're doing most of the time.

This is in no way intended to attack or claim false, the eyewitness testimonial given by AldronAran AKA Waldo. I stumbled across an article around 2 years ago, it questioned the accuracy of eyewitness reports. In a study (cutting right to the chase), out of around 1700 people released from prison after being proved innocent, through DNA testing, were sentenced based on eyewitness reports. However, I highly don't believe that Aldron could be deluded when he witnessed you xraying; I mean seriously, it's kinda damn obvious someone is xraying, even to a nitwit.

How long have you been playing the server?: This was the very first server I joined when I got multiplayer, so I've been playing for about 5 months
Have you read the Server, Prison, and Guard Rules?: Yes I have read the Server, Prison, and Guard rules, and I completely understand and follow these rules while in the server. ( Noakii )
Any experience with the prison genre?: This is my only experience with the prison genre servers.
What is your time zone: My timezone is Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Why are you the best choice for guard?: I am the best choice for guard status for a variety of reasons. For one, I have been on the server for around 5 months and never been jailed or warned. I have followed all the rules "to the T." I get along with the guards and most of the admin (the others I've just never talked to haha). I have worked hard while I play on this server to make sure people follow the rules, and if I see anyone griefing/cheating/disobeying server rules I make sure to report them to a guard who can stop them. Overall, I would be a great benefit to the guards and total happiness of the server.
What is your current rank?: As of right now, I am an A prisoner. I understand that you need proof, and I will be sure to take a screenshot of my rank so I have legitimate proof for you if I ever retire

I am the best choice for guard because Im experienced (been guard before) I follow rules, Im good at pvp and I like to help out newbs so they can learn to play the server as well as they can. I also enjoy just answering questions people might have! I am also very active, I am online everyday, unless on vacation or a lot of school work, but I try to be online 6hrs a day on weekends and at least 2 hours a day on weekdays!

I was trainee before and the reason I quit and the reason I wanna re-apply is because I was C-Prisoner when I got accepted but after a week of still being trainee I felt like I needed to be more experienced/ explore the prison more so I decided to wait till I was a free, so now that Im free I will truly work really hard as a guard and try and do my best to move up the ranks, I wont quit again unless I stop playing minecraft, but if thats the case then I wouldnt become a guard a third time, thanks for reading my app

Why you deserve to be unbanned: I was unjustly banned on the 24th of August for nodus. While I do admit to using nodus, I mainly use it for hunger games. The client is disabled when on convicted, I even admitted to Noakii that I had the program installed, I have it disabled for the fear of this very appeal. Realistically speaking, if I were to use the client to my advantage on convicted, would I tell Noakii; a warden, that I had it installed? I only admitted to having the client installed because I never once used it in the server and I had the ease of mind knowing that without using it, I wouldn't be banned for it. Another factor you need to keep in mind. Is there any proof of me using nodus? While I don't have any hard eviedence to object the accusations, is there any proof solidifying said accusations? I was never reported for any suspicious behaviour/activity previous of this ban, isn't my credibility for the past 6 months enough to prove to you that I respect and follow the rules of this server?

Really? You were the one that was trying to kill me with lava buckets in the Omega pumpkin mine for whatever reason (you've done the same in C mine). Then afterwards I told my friend Axel1435 on skype to complain to an Alpha/Warden, you decided to try to push the blame on me and claim that I was using X-ray. Then you and some of your other low IQ'd friends (whom just wanted to support you) decided to repeatedly chant your incorrect claims, even if logical reasoning, thought, and actual evidence that proves otherwise, was presented. Aldron actually was vanished and recording you as you were somehow finding me under layers and layers of pumpkins, and placing lava to attempt to kill me repeatedly. Also, Aldron himself messaged me the following: "You can log off and avoid them... I don't think you were xraying, but I want to record gabe killing you [placing the lava]." He also added later on, when he got the recording: "something is going to happen, cause I also believe he was using xray to find you." Lookie here, now you fess up that you actually had cheats installed. BTW, Noakii actually said that if you were to be caught using a hacked client on the HG server, it's a ban on convicted. I understand the positive and negatives to all of my suggestions. However, this is what I was thinking. I have no say in if this become's a reality or not. You do, Noakii. You're a great warden and you know what's best for the server. Convicted wouldn't be where it is without you, and I'm not just saying that. It's true. Anyway, my reasoning:
1. This new BetaAlphaGuard rank is basically like a Trainee Alpha. I just think that sometimes there are not enough Alphas to prevent Spam Attacks, (which seem to be happening a lot, recently,) so if an Alpha is not on, a Trainee Alpha could take care of it with a mute until a Full Alpha/Warden comes online. I know I wouldn't beg for this position, it is only for the experienced Guards. I would say about 1 or 2 months of experience would be enough for this rank. I only ask of this rank because I think it was a great idea, and I believe it could truly benefit the server. It could also be abused just as easily, however, and this is why it should only be given to the deserving Guards who know what they're doing. Entirely up to you and Viper, Noakii, you guys are the ones who run this server.
2. Citizen, yes, could be a grind. That was the idea behind it. However, it is entirely optional. I just think that many Frees go inactive because there's nothing left for them to do. Some people might like to grind, which is why it is optional, as both ranks have access to the outside world. I mean, many Frees have turned to PvP/Killing Guards/Grinding Experience from the Mob Farm. You saw what happened when Viper upgraded the kits. Several Frees quit the server right then, just because killing Guards was harder. With this, it would still give them something to work for. I know we have the Omega lots, but, that's not a lot. Many people cannot get plots simply because there's no more room in the prison for it. With the plots in this new city, it would give these people a chance to actually own one and not have to worry about the restricted space within the prison facility.
3. Yes, it probably would. Many people would want to become Guards just to see it. I see now that in retrospect it would probably not be a great idea, so maybe just make it a utility block? Have a potion shop here, Guard items here, maybe an Enchanting building there would be nice. Many people have been asking for a Guard Block, however I see now why it would not be a good idea.
This post was not meant to undermine your authority/begging for it to happen at all, I just felt that I did not explain myself as well as I could have when I first presented these ideas. I understand if you reject them. Just trying to think of ways to make this server the best it could be.

With that out of the way, I still would like to know when the next Alpha elections are. I know I have been asking a lot about this lately, I just think we need more to better help the spam attacks when they occur. Of course, it's not just these spam attacks that are the main problem. There are a lot of xrayers that need to be taken care of too. There are a few Guards that have been a Guard for as long as I can remember. (I started playing in May, so I know who's been Guard for a while and who hasn't.)

Law doesn't seem to be a subject you're too knowledgeable about. When we ban people, the Wardens serve as our investigators when it comes to unban apps. We as Alpha Guards, prove our loyalty are reliability simply by obtaining our rank. This makes our testimonials "accurate and reliable". To even say that a testimonial isn't strong proof and put "law 101" after it, only proves your lack of understanding for law itself.
When you say that "Players older than (you) have been banned for similar reasons." doesn't exactly help your case. In fact it works against you. It says that no one is above trying things that will given them an advantage against their peers, but ultimately will end in their own removal of the game. When you say that your an old player and wouldn't tempt it, we hear that all the time. Your case being based off of evidence that is always refuted do to its unreliability only weakens your chance at being unbanned. I suggest that you try and take a different approach to your ban appeal. Find ways to prove your innocence; other player testimonials, better reasoning than "I've been here forever", or anything else you can come up with.

Ok, lets not insult now. You're misquoting that attorney. While eyewitness accounts provide a vital role in convicting a suspect, that account is useless if not paired with separate evidence. You cannot base a case entirely off eye witness accounts! It's futile! Now, if a store was robbed and they charged someone with an eyewitness account as evidence, maybe they could be incriminated. But if, say, a person said someone was trespassing and all they had for their evidence was their own eyes and ears, THEN that case would be futile. Want to know why? Because they can't prove a CRIME was comitted. There is a HUGE difference between charging someone with a crime and attempting to say someone did something. A person can prove a robbery took place. A person cannot prove there was a trespasser unless they find footprints or video, etc. Do you understand? I'm kind of rambling because it's hard to explain.
Anywho, once again, what case do I have for me? That's why I am saying that guards should have to provide evidence! Otherwise, I am defenseless. My only defense is my testimony. No one else was around when it happened. Just me, you, and mystery man. Yours is your testimony. This isn't fair for me at all. How do I prove myself innocent? I shouldn't have to, you should have to prove me guilty. And what you have given so far, "It LOOKED like he was xraying..." is laughable at best.
I included that information not to help my case, but to admit I technically HAVE no case. Really, the admins could look either way with this. They could show leniency and mercy and unban me because of a lack of evidence, or they could choose to side with you and ban based on testimony. I'm in God's, or moreso the admin's, hands now.

The problem I have with this ban though, is Aldron has absolutely NO proof I xrayed other than his testimony. When I was Alpha (cue grandpa mode), and yes things have changed, but when I was Alpha I once submitted a ban report. I included a small snippet of video I managed to capture before he caught on. And you know what happened? The case was thrown out. Hell, the admins laughed. They said I didn't have nearly enough evidence, and MY WORD ALONE IS NOT SUFFICIENT.
I hope to God you have not changed your values, because that guy I captured may have been banned for nothing more than my poor judgement, and I hate to see that happen! Aldron has absolutely NO proof for his case, and while I have none to defend myself, the burden of proof lies on the accuser, not the accused. The accused does not have to do anything but refute any evidence the accuser gives them. All Aldron has is his own word, and that's simply not sufficient. I realize this isn't a court, it's a server on minecraft, but are we going to ban based on word? Who's to say he did not make a misjudgement? Who's to say he simply saw wrong? It's not fair to the players that I have to be banned. You may trust your Alphas, but dear God, it is NOT fair I have to be banned unjustly because of trust. Trust. Is. Not. Sufficient.
Demanding evidence for a ban is not that much to ask for. I did it all the time. Unless someone is BLATANTLY hacking that the whole server can testify for, it's ridiculous that you don't require evidence. There is at most, what, 1 ban a day? If we take away ban happy froot, that average drops drastically. Alphas are meant to be an extra eye, but not make such important decisions based on eyewitness alone. It is not difficult to launch fraps. A simple double click and F9 or whatever your hot key is will do the trick, and all parties will be happy.
If all this fails to convince you, consider this: If I truly am an xrayer, I'd obviously do it again when unbanned, correct? Maybe wait a few days, but still do it once again. So, give me ONE more chance. If they have proof I did it again, I'd be locked away forever. Proof of Xray is so simple: Fraps + Xray + Record = Instant Ban. So, I'd be banned in the very near future! Otherwise, I'm not a threat to the server, and shouldn't stay banned. This has been my all time favorite server, and I've contributed quite a bit to it. I wish to not be banned. I'm willing to sacrifice my inventory and money if you're still suspicious of me. Anything for this wonderful server.

I would apply for Guard but I see dozens of people denied daily, and it must be hard as **** to get somewhat staff position on Convicted.
Still a good server, but in my opinion only people that are Known, nice and liked by wardens/Alphas would get picked for Guard or Not get banned in a situation that the person could potentially be banned.

I have substantial experience with the prison genre. In fact, I've played on Don't Drop The Soap, ForbiddenPrison, and Enslaved, but none are able to compete with the epicosity of Convicted.

I am the best choice for guard, because I have experience, intelligence, common sense, a low tolerance for idiots, creativity, respect (for others, except idiots), audacity, and (of course) leet-pro PVP skills. Also, I'm ambitious and with a strong wish to do the best I could as a guard. To sum it all up, I'm able to be a great guard.

I understand the positive and negatives to all of my suggestions. However, this is what I was thinking. I have no say in if this become's a reality or not. You do, Noakii. You're a great warden and you know what's best for the server. Convicted wouldn't be where it is without you, and I'm not just saying that. It's true. Anyway, my reasoning:
1. This new BetaAlphaGuard rank is basically like a Trainee Alpha. I just think that sometimes there are not enough Alphas to prevent Spam Attacks, (which seem to be happening a lot, recently,) so if an Alpha is not on, a Trainee Alpha could take care of it with a mute until a Full Alpha/Warden comes online. I know I wouldn't beg for this position, it is only for the experienced Guards. I would say about 1 or 2 months of experience would be enough for this rank. I only ask of this rank because I think it was a great idea, and I believe it could truly benefit the server. It could also be abused just as easily, however, and this is why it should only be given to the deserving Guards who know what they're doing. Entirely up to you and Viper, Noakii, you guys are the ones who run this server.
2. Citizen, yes, could be a grind. That was the idea behind it. However, it is entirely optional. I just think that many Frees go inactive because there's nothing left for them to do. Some people might like to grind, which is why it is optional, as both ranks have access to the outside world. I mean, many Frees have turned to PvP/Killing Guards/Grinding Experience from the Mob Farm. You saw what happened when Viper upgraded the kits. Several Frees quit the server right then, just because killing Guards was harder. With this, it would still give them something to work for. I know we have the Omega lots, but, that's not a lot. Many people cannot get plots simply because there's no more room in the prison for it. With the plots in this new city, it would give these people a chance to actually own one and not have to worry about the restricted space within the prison facility.
3. Yes, it probably would. Many people would want to become Guards just to see it. I see now that in retrospect it would probably not be a great idea, so maybe just make it a utility block? Have a potion shop here, Guard items here, maybe an Enchanting building there would be nice. Many people have been asking for a Guard Block, however I see now why it would not be a good idea.
This post was not meant to undermine your authority/begging for it to happen at all, I just felt that I did not explain myself as well as I could have when I first presented these ideas. I understand if you reject them. Just trying to think of ways to make this server the best it could be.

A mob isn't a player, and it doesn't attack you like a player does because players have different aspects to them than mobs.
I know, I know. Not trying to push it either. It just seemed like a good idea when m0d presented it. Gained a lot of support too. Nevermind, I won't press the matter. I said I just wanted to better explain myself. It was denied by Noakii, and that's his call. Alright, I won't mention it again unless it is a consideration in the future. With that out of the way, I still would like to know when the next Alpha elections are. I know I have been asking a lot about this lately, I just think we need more to better help the spam attacks when they occur. Of course, it's not just these spam attacks that are the main problem. There are a lot of xrayers that need to be taken care of too. There are a few Guards that have been a Guard for as long as I can remember. (I started playing in May, so I know who's been Guard for a while and who hasn't.)

Ok, lets not insult now. You're misquoting that attorney. While eyewitness accounts provide a vital role in convicting a suspect, that account is useless if not paired with separate evidence. You cannot base a case entirely off eye witness accounts! It's futile! Now, if a store was robbed and they charged someone with an eyewitness account as evidence, maybe they could be incriminated. But if, say, a person said someone was trespassing and all they had for their evidence was their own eyes and ears, THEN that case would be futile. Want to know why? Because they can't prove a CRIME was comitted. There is a HUGE difference between charging someone with a crime and attempting to say someone did something. A person can prove a robbery took place. A person cannot prove there was a trespasser unless they find footprints or video, etc. Do you understand? I'm kind of rambling because it's hard to explain.
Anywho, once again, what case do I have for me? That's why I am saying that guards should have to provide evidence! Otherwise, I am defenseless. My only defense is my testimony. No one else was around when it happened. Just me, you, and mystery man. Yours is your testimony. This isn't fair for me at all. How do I prove myself innocent? I shouldn't have to, you should have to prove me guilty. And what you have given so far, "It LOOKED like he was xraying..." is laughable at best.
I included that information not to help my case, but to admit I technically HAVE no case. Really, the admins could look either way with this. They could show leniency and mercy and unban me because of a lack of evidence, or they could choose to side with you and ban based on testimony. I'm in God's, or moreso the admin's, hands now.

Why you deserve to be unbanned: Anyone can say "I didn't xray." Anyone. So, really, what can I say for my argument?
The problem I have with this ban though, is Aldron has absolutely NO proof I xrayed other than his testimony. When I was Alpha (cue grandpa mode), and yes things have changed, but when I was Alpha I once submitted a ban report. I included a small snippet of video I managed to capture before he caught on. And you know what happened? The case was thrown out. Hell, the admins laughed. They said I didn't have nearly enough evidence, and MY WORD ALONE IS NOT SUFFICIENT.
I hope to God you have not changed your values, because that guy I captured may have been banned for nothing more than my poor judgement, and I hate to see that happen! Aldron has absolutely NO proof for his case, and while I have none to defend myself, the burden of proof lies on the accuser, not the accused. The accused does not have to do anything but refute any evidence the accuser gives them. All Aldron has is his own word, and that's simply not sufficient. I realize this isn't a court, it's a server on minecraft, but are we going to ban based on word? Who's to say he did not make a misjudgement? Who's to say he simply saw wrong? It's not fair to the players that I have to be banned. You may trust your Alphas, but dear God, it is NOT fair I have to be banned unjustly because of trust. Trust. Is. Not. Sufficient.
Demanding evidence for a ban is not that much to ask for. I did it all the time. Unless someone is BLATANTLY hacking that the whole server can testify for, it's ridiculous that you don't require evidence. There is at most, what, 1 ban a day? If we take away ban happy froot, that average drops drastically. Alphas are meant to be an extra eye, but not make such important decisions based on eyewitness alone. It is not difficult to launch fraps. A simple double click and F9 or whatever your hot key is will do the trick, and all parties will be happy.
If all this fails to convince you, consider this: If I truly am an xrayer, I'd obviously do it again when unbanned, correct? Maybe wait a few days, but still do it once again. So, give me ONE more chance. If they have proof I did it again, I'd be locked away forever. Proof of Xray is so simple: Fraps + Xray + Record = Instant Ban. So, I'd be banned in the very near future! Otherwise, I'm not a threat to the server, and shouldn't stay banned. This has been my all time favorite server, and I've contributed quite a bit to it. I wish to not be banned. I'm willing to sacrifice my inventory and money if you're still suspicious of me. Anything for this wonderful server.

I would apply for Guard but I see dozens of people denied daily, and it must be hard as **** to get somewhat staff position on Convicted.
Still a good server, but in my opinion only people that are Known, nice and liked by wardens/Alphas would get picked for Guard or Not get banned in a situation that the person could potentially be banned.
It was nice, I might stick around.

Almost all of them are short, laughable and ridiculous. If you want to be accepted, write something that's worth noticing.
Also, there's almost ALWAYS a guard on during USA daylight timezones. The server needs less of those, not more.
How is my app at all laughable and fallible? I've spent a lot of time and effort writing up my app, but I don't get any criticism, nor do I get approval. Also, I've applied on four different occasions and my application went unnoticed every single time. Maybe you can see my next app and grade it :D.

I've played on this server for around a month, possibly 2 months; I haven't kept much record of time passing, while playing on this server, because doing something you like makes time go exceedingly quickly :3.

Yes, I have and understand it to the fullest extent. To such a full extent that I shall lie and say I pwned NOAKII at PVP in GC. [NOAKII IS GOLDEN]

I have substantial experience with the prison genre. In fact, I've played on Don't Drop The Soap, ForbiddenPrison, and Enslaved, but none are able to compete with the epicosity of Convicted.

I currently live in the Eastern Time Zone.
7) Why are you the best choice for guard?
I am the best choice for guard, because I have experience, intelligence, common sense, a low tolerance for idiots, creativity, respect (for others, except idiots), audacity, and (of course) leet-pro PVP skills. Also, I'm ambitious and with a strong wish to do the best I could as a guard. To sum it all up, I'm able to be a great guard.
