Why am I the best choice for Guard:
PvPing Skills:
I am a good choice for Guard because this is one of the only servers I play on, so I tend to spend a lot of time on it. I want to be a guard so I can help people from PvPer's so they aren't killed and don't lose their items. I am a great PvPer, on a scale of 1-10 I would give myself an 8, as I have a PvP Arena that I practice on by fighting other people and large numbers of hostile mobs. I would love to help enhance other people's experience by protecting them and preventing them from losing there items on Convicted and help them.
My Personality and My Conduct:
I am friendly, I would be kind and welcoming to everybody on the server. I am trustworthy and can think on my feet. I am chatty, and I don't cuss as I think it is extremely mean and and can hurt people's feelings to the point where they don't come back to the server. I am trustworthy and can think on my feet. I would always alert an Alpha Guard or Warden if an issue was getting out of hand. I don't hold grudges and won't seek revenge on other people. Even if someone was spamming or being very annoying I wouldn't rage and would handle the situation calmly.
Being Helpful and Kind:
I try to help people on the server even if I am not a guard. Many times I ask someone something and never get a reply. I am not that kind of person, No matter how obvious or dumb the question might seem. If I make a mistake I won’t ignore the person asking and will try to help him and repay him. At one point I was new to Minecraft and when I asked for help I would get replies like "Are you the stupidest noob ever?", So I understand how hurtful it can be. Basically I won’t be mean to other people and will always try to help them.
To Sum Everything Up:
I don't just want to be guard to have better items and be able to PvP more. I just want to help make other peoples experience on Convicted better. I know all the guard rules and read over them again and again just to make sureI don't forget. I know the approximate jail time, 10 minutes and unfair jail times for PvPer's and Contraband Carriers can and will get me demoted from guard. I am a fast typer so I wouldn't give people time to escape while I'm talking to them. I know abusing kits will get me demoted and have read over the guard commands. But, the main reason I want to be guard is just to help people and make Viper's amazing server more popular.
Do I understand that nagging Wardens in-game to read my will result in immediate decline: Yes, I understand this rule. Wardens already have enough stuff to do and problems to fix.

I think i am the best choice for guard because i am:
I am smart about my decisions. I would be patient and listen to other people. I would never cut someone off or disrespect them. I always respect other people's decisions.
I am experienced with pvp. I like to pvp a lot, as it brings alot of fun into the server. Sometimes i go with ByondAwesome0 to MCPVP servers (Sorry if this is indirect advertising) where we practice pvp for awhile.
I am nice, honest, and trustworthy. I believe a guard should have these three traits. Being nice would give players a sense of protection. A big deal with becoming a guard is that you must be honest and trustworthy. I would never abuse my guard powers. Being trustworthy means that other players can trust you to do the right thing when the time calls for it. I would answer players queries when they need. As i said before, i hate it when people disrespect other people, and i would try my best to not disrespect any players on the server or hate on anyone.
I am mature. I believe the most important part of becoming guard, and other things, is being mature. Being mature means you understand the right and the wrong. You don't act like a child in situations. You are serious and smart about your decisions. You can be trusted with huge tasks and be forgiven. I have keen eyes, and a sense for urgency. I have really good eyes in spotting contra-band. I always notice a sword out of the blue, even if no one else sees it. I also know what to do in any situation at any given time. I have a quick reaction time, and would not hesitate to jail or to kill. I would be confident in my actions and i would immediately support other guards if they are in need of help.
I am also confident. Throughout life i've always had a surplus of confidence. I never get down by anyone. Insults are like wind brushing against your shirt. I don't get angry often when i lose items. I'm so confident about everything, i always think that i will make it no matter what! And i believe i can do this too, so i hope you all like reading this application i have composed today.

I am pretty good at pvp and have read the guard rules multiple times. I posted guard apps as i was ranking up and didnt get it so now that im free i hope i will. I am a very nice person who greets new players when they join and would like to keep those players safer when some annoying people run around with a stone sword.
I play almost every day usualy for atleast an hour. sometimes i use my whole day on this server which i have almost never regreted. I know all the guard rules and dont plan on just being trainee for a week then quiting i expect to atleast become a full guard before retiring and maybe become alpha like ender :3 I am totally fine with having so spend a long time as a trainee because i will just have fun hanging around with the other guards. I am a very mature person and don't hold grudges and want to keep the C's in line so the frees dont die when they are just talking to other people.

7) Why chose me?: I am very respectful and a fair Admin on other servers. I'm good at PvP and I have a very watchful eye. I play a lot on the server so you know i will be on a good amount. I like to keep all the idiots in order and reward the good prisoners. Lastly, I like to keep watching the server grow and it would be fun to have a staff position.

As most people have already noticed we have several new Trainees which have just joined the role of a Guard. Because of the sudden increase in Guards we can replace the old Guards by demoting them. I understand that keeping track of who is active and who is inactive may be a hard task but it will keep the number of Guards at a reasonable number.
I was thinking of maybe having a 3 week inactivity rule. If a Trainee / Guard is offline for a total of 21 days without any notice or reason, they will be demoted- keeping the people who are interested in playing on the server, Guard and getting rid of the people who are not interested in playing.
Hopefully this post will be noticed and action will be taken!

I do like the idea, but how could one tell if a Guard has been offline for 3 weeks? If you get kicked from the faction after 10 days, then you won't show up in /f who. The Wardens probably won't want to go through every single Guard in /f who anyway. If we made a plugin, then what happens if they do give notice of an inactivity period? The plugin would just kick and demote them. Again, I would like to see this happen, but how to make it a reality has yet to be determined.
We can't tell you what it's missing. xD The only thing we can tell you is to look carefully through the Guard Rules.

We will also keep track of players of how much guarding they do, if they are active but on their Free/prisoners but not enough on their Guard account, they will be demoted as well
Guarding 5 hours in 1 days and being active on your other account for the rest of the week is not guarding, I know a few people who have done this.

Yes, this is very true but this brings up a possible issue, what if they want to keep their alts a secret? I think maybe we should add a section on the guard apps where you can put any possible alts you have so we can monitor their activeness as a guard. Just an idea. <3

Now, I realize that this isn't exactly as long as most people, but if you give me a chance, I know I can do good things for this server. 4)Have you read the Server,Prison,andGuardRules?: Yes, and I'm trying to do my best to be able to remember them at all times. By the way, Noakii. 5)Any experience with the prison genre?: I've been on many other prison servers that are definitely not as good as this one for many reasons. I also happen to have been a guard for one other server. 6)Whatis your time zone?: MST (Mountain Standard Time) 7)Why are you the best choice for guard?(1-2 paragraphs): I feel I could be a help to the people. People need help in life. And frankly, I feel I'm up for the job. I'll help them be protected, safe, and help them to have fun. (Keep in mind, I do joke a lot.) Many prisoners camp and kill in C Block, and someone can't get from point A to B. I wish to help such a person trying to get from an area to another, and I will do what it takes to help them. I won't mess around when it comes to PVP, because I don't want things getting out of hand. I'm also pretty good at PVP. On a scale of 0 to 10, I rate myself a solid 7 and a half. There are a few reasons for that, but I feel that being guard, I will improve on that, and I will fight, no matter what the circumstance is. If they have a Sharpness IV Fire Aspect II sword with full enchant diamond armor, I will NOT back down from that fight. However, I won't stand for fun PVP as a guard. I will seriously enforce the rules so others may have fun. When I am engaged within a fight, I will fight until the end, and until someone is taken down. If I lose, I will take a graceful defeat. I won't argue or rant and rave. I'll just take it and say, "So what?" Also, when needed, I'll be social and help prisoners as they need it. There are many people who need a good friend and I can be there for them. I'll try to get along with everyone, including those who aren't exactly friendly. I'll do whatever it takes to help this server become an even better server, including just being kind to everyone, having a good attitude, and making this server feel lightened up with a couple jokes, depending on your sense of humor. I want to get to know people and to make them feel as happy as possible on the server, even if they feel like they're having the worst day ever.
Some people are rather rude on this server, and others are kind. Situations of arguing and such arise all the time. If I happen to find someone being rude, or using crude language, I will give them a warning and tell them that it's not kind to say those things, since you never know what someone's been through. (See me for dark history, and why I'm so kind. It might help you get to know me better if you wish.) I honestly don't like to see insults, crude language, or anything else such as that. It makes me feel uncomfortable, sometimes even sick. I feel I'll be able to help with that kind of thing, since I'm such an insult police and such. Those who think that they can get away with insults and bullying of people on the server will not get away with it. I'll stop it before things become even worse. I would like to keep things secure so others may be able to enjoy this wonderful server in peace and harmony. It will be a much better environment that way, and people might become happier and more welcome on this server. I do have some experience with this server and the prison genre, so I will be able to help with my knowledge wherever needed. I won't let people down when it comes to friendliness.
I don't get angry very easily. You see, I usually contain my rage for a better time. For instance, if I become so enraged, I will just log off of the server and not take my rage out on prisoners. I promise you, I'll come back later and be happier if I just get it out. I feel this will help me in guarding because I won't take my rage out on the person who keeps beating me. Someone can beat me as much as they want, and I will NOT submit to anger while on the server. I won't rant and rave when I feel something unfair happened. I'll maybe suggest something, but I won't go on about it. I'll just deal with it and let it go. I'll find other ways to take my rage out. Other than that, I think I'll be fine in the behavior area.
Lastly, I feel that I can be a good guard because I'm read to help. I'll be on quite a bit, and so I will be active. I do realize that recently I haven't been on for much recently, but I've been busy. Life goes first, right? I promise I'll tell you if that kind of thing happens. If a sudden situation arises, whether it be contrabanned items, arguing, or fighting, I will arise to the situation with no problems, and I will help in any way I can to make sure whatever the situation is, I will be there to help, and to help only. I won't make it any worse than it already is, since that won't be any good. If I am around, I will help in any way, and if I'm not around, even then I'll try to help somehow. I want to leave an influence on the server so that people on the server know that I've got their backs. I want them to feel they can depend on me when they need to, not that I'm just another threat that they can't handle. I will help in any ways possible, whether it be money making, attitude with other people, or just enforcing server rules. So in closing, I would like to say that I will work hard and do what helps the server in any way I can. 2)how long have you played on the server? i have honestly only played on the server for about a day however, i have lots of experience from other prison servers also i have been an admin on other servers including prison servers.
3)do you understand abusing your powers as guard will get your powers stripped and possibly banned? yes and i won't abuse my powers.
4)i have enough experience to handle people breaking rules and i would be able to help ensure players dont ruion the game for other people.

4) Have you read the guard rules?: Yes i have read them.
5) Experience with the prison genre: I do not have a ton of prison experience (most experience is from servers that prison isn't a big game mode) but I do have a lot of Admin and Moderator experience.
6) Time Zone: I am on Central Time.
7) Why chose me?: I am very respectful and a fair Admin on other servers. I'm good at PvP and I have a very watchful eye. I play a lot on the server so you know i will be on a good amount. I like to keep all the idiots in order and reward the good prisoners. Lastly, I like to keep watching the server grow and it would be fun to have a staff position.

Exactly what I was saying about if you are kicked from the Guard faction (10 day inactivity without reason) then you should be demoted.
I do like the idea, but how could one tell if a Guard has been offline for 3 weeks? If you get kicked from the faction after 10 days, then you won't show up in /f who. The Wardens probably won't want to go through every single Guard in /f who anyway. If we made a plugin, then what happens if they do give notice of an inactivity period? The plugin would just kick and demote them. Again, I would like to see this happen, but how to make it a reality has yet to be determined.

We will also keep track of players of how much guarding they do, if they are active but on their Free/prisoners but not enough on their Guard account, they will be demoted as well
Guarding 5 hours in 1 days and being active on your other account for the rest of the week is not guarding, I know a few people who have done this.
Yes, this is very true but this brings up a possible issue, what if they want to keep their alts a secret? I think maybe we should add a section on the guard apps where you can put any possible alts you have so we can monitor their activeness as a guard. Just an idea. <3

3) How long have you been playing the server? (Minimum of 3 days): About 2 weeks. Now, I realize that this isn't exactly as long as most people, but if you give me a chance, I know I can do good things for this server.
4) Have you read the Server, Prison, and Guard Rules?: Yes, and I'm trying to do my best to be able to remember them at all times. By the way, Noakii.
5) Any experience with the prison genre?: I've been on many other prison servers that are definitely not as good as this one for many reasons. I also happen to have been a guard for one other server.
6) What is your time zone?: MST (Mountain Standard Time)
7) Why are you the best choice for guard? (1-2 paragraphs): I feel I could be a help to the people. People need help in life. And frankly, I feel I'm up for the job. I'll help them be protected, safe, and help them to have fun. (Keep in mind, I do joke a lot.) Many prisoners camp and kill in C Block, and someone can't get from point A to B. I wish to help such a person trying to get from an area to another, and I will do what it takes to help them. I won't mess around when it comes to PVP, because I don't want things getting out of hand. I'm also pretty good at PVP. On a scale of 0 to 10, I rate myself a solid 7 and a half. There are a few reasons for that, but I feel that being guard, I will improve on that, and I will fight, no matter what the circumstance is. If they have a Sharpness IV Fire Aspect II sword with full enchant diamond armor, I will NOT back down from that fight. However, I won't stand for fun PVP as a guard. I will seriously enforce the rules so others may have fun. When I am engaged within a fight, I will fight until the end, and until someone is taken down. If I lose, I will take a graceful defeat. I won't argue or rant and rave. I'll just take it and say, "So what?" Also, when needed, I'll be social and help prisoners as they need it. There are many people who need a good friend and I can be there for them. I'll try to get along with everyone, including those who aren't exactly friendly. I'll do whatever it takes to help this server become an even better server, including just being kind to everyone, having a good attitude, and making this server feel lightened up with a couple jokes, depending on your sense of humor. I want to get to know people and to make them feel as happy as possible on the server, even if they feel like they're having the worst day ever.
Some people are rather rude on this server, and others are kind. Situations of arguing and such arise all the time. If I happen to find someone being rude, or using crude language, I will give them a warning and tell them that it's not kind to say those things, since you never know what someone's been through. (See me for dark history, and why I'm so kind. It might help you get to know me better if you wish.) I honestly don't like to see insults, crude language, or anything else such as that. It makes me feel uncomfortable, sometimes even sick. I feel I'll be able to help with that kind of thing, since I'm such an insult police and such. Those who think that they can get away with insults and bullying of people on the server will not get away with it. I'll stop it before things become even worse. I would like to keep things secure so others may be able to enjoy this wonderful server in peace and harmony. It will be a much better environment that way, and people might become happier and more welcome on this server. I do have some experience with this server and the prison genre, so I will be able to help with my knowledge wherever needed. I won't let people down when it comes to friendliness.
Lastly, I feel that I can be a good guard because I'm read to help. I'll be on quite a bit, and so I will be active. I do realize that recently I haven't been on for much recently, but I've been busy. Life goes first, right? I promise I'll tell you if that kind of thing happens. If a sudden situation arises, whether it be contrabanned items, arguing, or fighting, I will arise to the situation with no problems, and I will help in any way I can to make sure whatever the situation is, I will be there to help, and to help only. I won't make it any worse than it already is, since that won't be any good. If I am around, I will help in any way, and if I'm not around, even then I'll try to help somehow. I want to leave an influence on the server so that people on the server know that I've got their backs. I want them to feel they can depend on me when they need to, not that I'm just another threat that they can't handle. I will help in any ways possible, whether it be money making, attitude with other people, or just enforcing server rules. So in closing, I would like to say that I will work hard and do what helps the server in any way I can. If I can leave a lasting influence on the server, then I'll have been successful in my goals to help the server. Thanks for considering me for such a hard job. I will arise to the occasion if you would like me to. Even if not, I'll keep trying. I won't give up.
8) Do you understand that nagging Wardens in-game to read your app will result in immediate decline?: Yes, because they shouldn't have to deal with players spamming an application, and telling them, "CHECK OUT MY APPLICATION ALREADY!" They should be left to decide, and the prisoner should be patient while waiting for their application to be accepted or denied.

That's a good idea, Maybe Hex can help with that, maybe a plugin that allows us to know what accounts log into that IP
