I have to correct you, my friend.
Applies should NOT me messaged to me, but are to be posted here.
1. Introduction Hello, I am Joe, and i love the idea of this server, i think it looks great, i just hope im allowed to come aboard and help,I don't 'troll' and i really immerse myself in RP Game/servers like this. 2. Motivation I'm Friendly, kind, nice and i'm a teamplayer, I take part and help others, i don't destroy peoples hard work for 'lols' and i certainly don't 'troll'. I came upon this server a few minutes ago, and so far i think it looks great, i have been looking for a decent RP server for a while, and this is much more than 'decent'. 3. Country of residence United Kingdom, to be Exact, Wales. 4. Your in-game name JoeEvz28 5. Any questions you have for us Want to know something more? Now's your chance! My Character's Background. My Name is Sethius, Son of King Morvan. Shortly after Sethius was born, an assassination attempt was due to take place on King Morvan, a Steward of the King, feared the life of Sethius, and was weary of what would become of Morvan due to behavior and respect He held throughout the Kingdom, The Steward was Called Mary, She was frightened that Sethius would be killed by an Assassinater to destroy the line of royalty. Mary retreated to a family member's house outside the City Walls, She Raised Sethius as her own, she brought only one item for Sethius which she planned to give Him when he was older, and that was a necklace Sethius's Father had given to him as a baby. Mary told him his Father died in a war, and never told Him of his real royal bloodline, Morvan at the time His son was taken was told He was killed by the Assassinater.
Mary Questioned taking Sethius back to the King and admitting what she had done after Morvan took part in the Battle of Romanus when He bettered His Life, but feared she would be killed as a traitor, or a thief. At the age of 18 Sethius was told about his Bloodline, and that He was Son of Morvan. Sethius Still loved Mary like a Mother, for the years she had cared for Him. Sethius made His way to Canaleth to Find his Father, and inform him of this great secret. Sethius had only one item for proof, The Necklace Mary had given him when she told him about his real bloodline, which Sethius was given as a baby by Morvan.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Joe? Sethius? You started off amazingly. The time you lost us, was when you said you were son of King Morvan. Now, before you start meddling with a character you have no idea who is, take a step back. His father recently died. It's medieval times, so he was probably 60. That makes Morvan PROBABLY 30-ish. Now, when you come up, 18 years old, we have a bit of a plothole, don't you think?
Besides, while I realize it's hard spinning a plot out of thin air in a world already established, you gotta realize that a son of a king isn't to be taken lightly. I hope you realize, when you come in, fresh and new, you're gonna have NO idea what's going on. A new character usually starts... Blank. You create the story later, after figuring out what is going on in the world. You can have several characters here, so don't worry about making a new one, or killing a less loved one off.
And also, just so you don't have to throw it all away, you can say that you have been taught to believe he was your father, but when you see that he's so young, you could have some interesting roleplay off that. You could of course, do something completely different.
I'll accept the apply if the character's background is changed so it is not the son of the King. Loion is right, Morvan is in his early 30's and he only just got a son who's nearly 1 year old now. That way, it's impossible for him to have another one.
Hope you understand!
Also note that the server is on a Summer Break until August 17. Until then, there's no RP.
Thanks, I feel like getting sentimental so I'll recount my happy experiences with this server just to get it off my chest.
Back when this thread was under 20 pages I as BizarreMonkey was lured into this server by my interest in the setting. I was old when this server was young. I was the fifth person to join and at such time, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of RP'ing, playing the Noble Barbarian Dave. I joined the Canaleth Army as a brawny meatshield, in this time I became well acquainted with Torak and Lorenzo, who by the end of Dave's legacy were his closest friend, Dave fled the kingdom after attempting in futility to save his friend Torak, who almost killed Morvan with a deft arrow.
However, after sometime the Disciple would come along to aid the Kingdom in his own sort of way, stating to serve only D'sparil, he aided in several battles after earning the trust of the citizenship, his loyalty to King Sorvius was unfaltering, though it was evident Morvan had a lot to learn before Disciple considered him an equal to is father.
In the event of Sorvius' death, Disciple swore to forever uphold his legacy and saw Lorenzo and Wulfric as the ideal upholders of that same legacy.
In Canaleth, the tides had turned and Disciple started noticing that change was inevitable, Morvan had grown, but not nearly enough, he was still reckless, unsavory and more so now than before, mad with power. Disciple did all he could to fight for the right thing, however... the new megalomaniac on the loose (One you all despise by now.) and the increasing threat of the Nethazim and Endari had become a top priority. In secret... Disciple began to plot a revolution and offered the idea of a free world, only as a concept. King Morvan sensing the threat to his rule, expatriated Disciple and the hand D'sparil has remained elusive since.
Despite the hasty action in dealing with Disciple, a revolution started nonetheless, brought on by the forces of Endar. Whether Disciples idea made him a martyr that day or it was pure happenstance is up in the air.
Though those were my fondest memories, I also want to recap on some other characters that I had fun with.
Kyoshi: Replacing my humble role as Dave the Barbarian, he too would be fun to play as a more soldier focus, though with his own agenda as well.
Shadi: While just about everyone hated this guy by the end, myself included. In the beginning I had the most fun because I was more of a stealth and survive player, instead of later where I became essentially omnipotent and started cocking everything up. He was much more fun when he was respected and difficult to play, rather than when he was hated by all and I ignorantly kept playing him because playing god is fun?
What annoys me most about this character is that he set an example for future villains and peoples expectations of them. I admit that this is entirely my fault.
The Outsider: He was fun while people liked him, when people start hating your characters you do too, eventually I just decided that he was Disciple in disguise.
I can't think of many more I had fun with, but I digress.
I never really was good at RP, what I enjoyed most about the server was the social aspect of it all, in the end this server changed me dramatically as a person. Committing myself to it for two years and getting up at 3:00 AM or 5:00 AM each RP morning was something I decided to do and post-bavorian sacrilege it was very rare for me to miss a session. I contributed when and where I could, though I also did some very terrible things due to stress. Regardless I had a fun time on this server while it lasted (two years) and I wish Trondheim, Jenner, EagleEye11, Jfielder, Sjunior, Loion and all of it's members a good prosperous life.
So for what it's worth and for how much I did for this server, even post exile...
I have to correct you, my friend.

Also: want, not wan't.
But for real, I have a very good excuse for my mistake. Back in my day, like, almost two years ago, you had to do it in that way. So yeah.
"Whitelisting. Whitelisting never changes."

I'd like to thank everyone who was part of this for making our server awesome for 3 epic years.
