Hello everyone i don't know how many people check the forums, but i have something very weird that happened to me yesterday. I was building on my house, in the north, then i took down my wooden door. Kaval accidentally banned me, then brought me back. when i went to work on my houses some floors and walls were missing. Kaval did not reset my houses, she didn't do anything to it. I have had multiple mods and admins come to check my houses, and they found nothing either. So my question is what happened, and can you fix it?
Hi. I've noticed a major amount of random conversation in this thread. So, I'd like to clear up a few things.
What IS allowed in a server thread:
Ban Appeals
Applications
Reviews (One per person)
What is NOT allowed in a server thread:
General Conversation
Bumping
Continuing the current conversation (such as "Spot the difference") in the thread for a while (and starting more after) will result in a temporary lock and warning of those involved with the conversation. Undeleted posts (maybe the last 6 or 7) before this are an example of posts that are allowed to be posted in a server thread. Think of this as your only informal warning.

We have broken absolutely no rules by having discussions about the server. Where are we allowed to talk about what goes on on the server if not this thread? People post screenshots and have discussions on their server threads constantly. I can fully understand if we are having general minecraft discussions, but from what I can rememeber, people had been posting screenshots and asking things.
We do not ask our players to bump the thread, if they want to have discussions it is nothing more than that - Having discussions of length that they cannot have on the server.
Multiple servers have bumps daily from whitelisting, a bump every other minute, yet a few conversations a day is not allowed, even if it is server related?
Furthermore, I have noticed you seem to just be targeting the popular threads. We are not popular because we have unfairly bumped, or exploited our users by forcing them to have coversations so we can get pushed to the top. We are a popular thread, with a lot of posts because we have been here for over over 8 months now, and we take pride in having a good community who want to have discussions about this server.
Bending completely legit server discussions into bumps is an obvious attempt at trying to get us locked for doing nothing wrong. So, I would love to be directed to the rules about not being allowed to have server related discussions. Or are they new rules just for us popular servers?
Let me give you a few examples of what is now deleted:
Glad to know we still have such good teamwork on this server. Araa so thankful that James was there to scrub his back XD
HAWT. You even managed to put the camera in the ceiling, too. They'll never find it there. :V

Thanks Phil appreciate whatcha did hurr

Posts like this can be talked about in game/aren't relevant; I don't see why you need to discuss them in your server thread.
Also, I'm fine with you having server discussions, posting updates and the like is fine. It's just when you overly use and abuse that ability that it becomes rule-breaking. (I'm not saying you have.) Also, if it can be talked about in game, I don't see why it needs to be in your thread.
If you'd like to discuss this further, then please PM me. Thanks.

I understand why you're posting this, and I appreciate the fact that you're doing your your job. Just wanna clear some stuff up though. We have people from all over the world playing this game, so thats means we're all in different time zones. Maybe there's one part of the day when there isn't a mod or admin for a while. People post pictures of griefs and such to get them banned.
Also, we're a very loving community. Sometimes friends can't see eachother in the game. Maybe somebody is on vacaction and they don't have a computer or laptop... just a phone that they post messages on the forum with. We all love to stay in touch with eachother, and when we can't chat in the game, we post it on the forum- for all our friends to hear.
We even just like to share things. Something that we think will cheer others up, make them laugh. Yeah, we get a bit off-topic sometimes, but hey, that's what makes these chats fun!
But whenever there's a question or problem asked, we're always sure to answer it. We never have an issue with resolving a concern. There aren't just random "spot the difference" posts. We discuss serious topics most of the time.
Again, thank you for checking this out. Hope this make things clearer.
I'm going to assume that your username is minerforty_niner.
You were banned during a spam attack, where someone uses a hacked client to log in and out of the server with tons of different accounts, creating "x user has joined the game." and "x user has left the game." spam. If you look for your username on banlist.keymc.me (Use ctrl+f to find it) you'll find that a lot of other people from the time you were banned are banned for spam, like you are. I'll tell an admin to unban you ASAP.
I recommend you change your password, because if your username was part of a spam attack like that one, your account is most likely on an alt list somewhere. Try to use a password with a combination of 2 to 5 uncommon words in a row (something like "geometricallusterjester"), because those kinds of passwords are near impossible to hack.
hey actually my username is Jangofett932, does the spam thing still apply for me.
So Ben what does this mean for our forum as far as what ThePilot is telling us. I for one agree with Ferret and pointed that out to him, who still thinks we can just pm in chat. I do not feel that is fair when we are such a huge community with many friends around the world. Honestly sometimes this is the only place for us to post to each other. Also seeing that most of the post with the exception of the "spot the diffrence" is server oriented and I dont see how that goes against anything. I am honestly confused and very concerned.
Thanks

Discussion about the server in general is fine, and perfectly allowed. Asking for staff help, about an election, feature, or plugin, is OK. Screenshots of impressive structures along with a relevant post is also OK.
All we ask is that some of the other general chat that's not relevant to the server be taken elsewhere. This could be PM, or the Skype channel we already have setup for any user of the server, or any other private method of communication.
I talked with ThePilotGuy, and we went through together and reviewed some of the removed content, and restored some of it. However some was still pretty off-topic, and will remain deleted. I understand that we have a large community, however other servers on the forum must be given a chance to be seen as well, and limiting posting somewhat is an effective way of doing that.
All this means is that it would help us all if you think before you post. Ask yourself if the post is relevant to the server, and if it is then post away. I may look into an off-site forum website if you all just want to chat, however we are guests here on the forum so please abide by the rules set forth.
Thanks!
I would like the option of an off-site forum. It would reduce what is here so that this could just be used for ban concerns or player concerns while the off-site could be used for those of use who like the idea of sharing the goings on to everyone. I would be very happy to help with that in any way. Thanks Ben.
I know this was mentioned recently on the forums, but I feel like it needs mentioning again. I feel that it is time for an election. Preferably for both Mod and Admin ranks. I know that Omega, Dev, Kav, and I were all on at the same time today, but that is a rarity. For the past week or two I have been the only admin on when I log on, and either Ferret, Sen, or Artic have been the only mods on both creative and survival servers. I don't want to come off as trying to slack off on my job, but I'm tired of being the only admin on. (and I know that other admins have been on during the day, but this is just what I have been seeing). I want to be able to get onto Survival without being called to Creative instantly because there are 50 new griefs, or somebody needs a protect. Don't get me wrong, I love being an admin here. It's just stressful being the only one.
Before any modmins say "but I've been on too", I'm sure you have, just not when I have been, so I can't speak for those times. Am I asking people to change their playing habits to be on when I am? No. I'm just asking for an election.
Yeah more admins would be lovely, been trying to be on creative more and more but it doesn't help. Dev gets my back when he gets on but still the onslaught of griefers lately has been bad, 42 bans per day bad. I think I did an hour or two of straight protected as well yesterday.
./warp north has lots of fresh grief today. SF_XD definitely needs a ban, and another xxAZ... (can't remember whole name ugh) guy I think does as well. Here's some lovely screenshots for you!
Gee, thanks for that, ryan. My computer froze, so I had to restart it ._. It froze once more, and now I cant log on. I get something that says something about a code and join whatever. The thing is too long for me to read. Help me xD
