Guys im kinda frustrated. Ive asked for help on the server a bunch and I get ignored.
I need a lot of help trying to figure out how to download a MCpatcher for one of my texture packs.
All i know is I have Mac OS-X
bam. end of story. every time i try to download a patch i get some weird error code or it doesnt work. Im brand new to the Mac scene so I know less than nothing and Im very new to the gaming world to begin with. Minecraft is basically my first venture at it. I literally need someone to walk me through it step by step.
Thanks

I also run a Mac, and recently i have given up on texture packs because either i have run into the same problem or i just don't like what i find. I did just get one to work though... I would suggest downloading the texture pack you want, leave it zipped and just drop the zipped file into the texture pack folder in the minecraft folder. This can be found by going to the Hard Drive, Selecting your name on the left side, Library, Application support, then just scrolling down to the minecraft folder. I do know, as of beta 1.8 that if you want a high res texturepack you need to use mcpatcher, this may have changed with recent updates. But as far as I know we are all limited to the nonhigh res packs with out it.
If you are ignored on the server, the easiest thing to do is.....
GOOGLE
also there is usally a readme on the site you downloaded it from, since i think mcpatcher is from these forums, just scroll down and it explains, i think
lol I did. I went to GOOGLE like 30 times no lie but I either kept getting confused or what I found was not for a Mac. :smile.gif:

Spying was banned for griefing, and one or two sentences in caps doesn't really justify further consequence except for the fact that they may have been kicked if a modmin had been in the game.

Can you tell us the specific HD texture pack you have downloaded? Every texture pack is unique and comes with its own set of instructions and issues.
Also, if you are having issues with the texture pack, post a question in the forum in which you found it. If you have an issue with McPatcher, optifine, magic launcher, post in one of the forums below.
I am running minecraft on a Mac OSX and I agree that it can be difficult sometimes. I would just read the instructions for the texture pack very carefully so that you didn't miss any steps.
Also, if you are having trouble opening .jar files, use Archive Utility so that you can open the file up. This was helpful for me when I had trouble downloading a mod.
Thanks a lot Kav :biggrin.gif:
