This is a small 1.6.4 server with a few fantasy themed mods, focusing on minefantasy. It is a survival, NO CHEATING, non-whitelisted server with few rules.
Rules:
No cheating (so no x-ray packs)
Don't just randomly attack people, make sure they are cool with the fight (declaring war is OK, as long as it is mutual)
No stealing or griefing
DONT PUT ANYTHING FROM THE FORGE MULTIPART MOD ONTO ANYTHING FROM MINEFANTASY THAT RENDERS ITEMS OR BLOCKS (ANVILS, TAILOR BENCHES, FORGES, OVENS, ETC). I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF BY DOING SO YOU CORRUPT YOUR BASE
Might join up again, the last one was really fun but I had to stop playing due to a virus on my computer as well as a corrupted chunk. But I will happily join the server again and do a survival. Consider this a little application to join, if you need any more information just say so
Also my new minecraft account name is 'Sidan_Heath' if you at all consider the application :]

This looks pretty great, I'm gonna play some singleplayer Mine Fantasy with the new update so I know what's up, then I think I'll join. Pretty much has most the mods I play with anyways. If you're gonna have Lost Books, I would consider adding bibliocraft to the list as well, nice way of displaying all your favorite books you find

well... im kind of regretting making it a hardcore world... ive died (twice), but I'll keep the same world going until everyone else is done with it. then i'll put it up for download and restart itand about bibliocraft and hats, i havent liked the more recent versions of bibliocraft, and i dont feel like disabling the things that dont really fit in with the fantasy theme. and hats... it just has too many random hats, many of which would mess with the fantasy theme as well. Ive spent months tinkering with the pack, getting it just right, looking for new mods, making one myself, etc, and now i feel like its perfect, so i probably wont make any changes. plus i dont run the server myself, so there are complicatons with getting new mods onto the server, and i dont want to make everyone redownload the pack
aw I like the hardcore, I played MITE for awhile so even decently difficult mods are pretty normal for me, but yeah the extra mods are not necessary now that I think about it (bibliocraft and such). I actually really like what you have going right now. But if you decide to restart I'll join again and start over.
But I do think that the hardcore lends to people working together, which I don't mind, there's tons to do in Minefantasy, and doing it alone can be difficult. Of course, skipping tier progressions defeats a major purpose of the mod.
Oh just realized the difficulty is also on hardcore, meaning permadeath... I haven't died but I can see how that'd be an issue. Can we keep the map somehow but just start a new world that's not hardcore so permadeath isn't an issue? I've made quite some progress.
I'm not gong to restart the world until most people have died, then I'll let everyone download the world so they can use it in single player. I realize that people are still alive, don't worry. But soon I think I'll start a poll about whether or not to restart
See, that's a problem with hardcore on servers. no matter what someone gets the short end of the stick. I like the whole permadeath, but at the knowledge that anything i build will be gone in a week regardless of weather i die... not good.
Maby add a mod to make death painful, but not fatal. like Mca (minecraft comes alive) it has a feature so if you are on hardcore then you can (provided you get all the necessary prerequisites) an extra life through your family. meaning if you have kids you can still respawn.
However you need to get a gold ring first, which means a fair amount of progress through minefantasy to get the extra life(s), but hay, if you cant get to iron before dying, then you are not loosing much
Yeah same, I just don't like the idea of losing something I spent time on. It'd be one thing if all you had to do was survive and you just see how long you can make it. However, I feel that hardcore death sort of ruins minefantasy due to the length of the progression and the threat of some mobs (dragons and such). And if it's going to be a small server (ie only 10-15 people max) then excluding people who die from accidentally joining during night or something may not be a good idea. But that's just me, it's certainly your server and you do exactly what you want with it.
well, not quite what i was saying fenrir, i was more referring to the issue with a hardcore server. playing singleplayer hardcore is great, lots of challenge, nights more interesting when it could be your last. but on a server, either people die and the server becomes deserted except for two or three people. or you reset it every week to keep up a population on the server, at the expense of anyone who dose not die having to start over every week. which is a rather poor motivation for progressing. honestly when i first saw this thread i was planing on a medieval bree style town, but it will never be done if there has to be resets for the dead.
Which is why i recommended the mca mod. with it it will allow:
Players who make it to the iron age to have "limited" respawn
Teamwork among players (babes are not made alone)
Grave yards
And towns to keep surplus villagers to live in, being as even they are not immune to night raids.
I agree, but I really wanted this to be hardcore, just for a fun challenge. The next world will be on survival (except the difficulty will still be on hard and natural regen will be off). So on the next world, I also want an epic medieval village, as well as some other stuff I have planned. And once again, when the world is reset, you will be able to download it, so you can continue on single player if you are still alive.

That might be good to know -- trying to recreate it cause a crash due to a conflict between MF and chicken chunks...
Also i have to suggest the hat mod. because i always suggest that at least once.
but other then that i love how it is small, but effective. no need for all those clutter mods *cough* ftb *cough*
