This changes everything about ranching! Having sheep of each color hanging out makes even more sense now. And a mixed-color field wouldn't be bad. I've built 12 out of 16 rainbow pastures, though, so I'll continue making and stocking those, and we can see how it goes.
ALSO... the glitching at the fenceline thing seems to be fixed!! That also makes me very happy. Hopefully animals won't suffocate in corners anymore, either, but I haven't heard anything about that.
Hey guys, hope everything has been going well. Apologies for the lack of updates from me, I haven't had much time to pay attention to things with the birth of my daughter a few weeks ago!
Things are returning to normal though (a new, different, better normal) and I'll have some time to play some minecraft again.
I updated the server tonight as well as regenerated "the end" - that will hopefully fix the issue that is preventing a dragon from spawning. Thanks for sending that suggestion my way Burrows!
As Mr B already said: we wish you all the best! Its been more than 11 years since Sovel was born but I remember it all! I saw a very cute one piece that would fit her perfect! :-)
About wool:
I want to gather pink wool (nah??) so I turned a bunch of the red sheeps in the big pens pink. Was that wrong? I thought maybe Serra and Silver were done with the red? I can turn them back to red if you want to. Maybe I messed it all up now..
As Bukkit apparently is getting closer I have made 6 "New members" chests for people that got promoted to builders and 1 "Visitors" chest for people just visiting. The New members chests will be inside a locked room. What stuff is ok to give to visitors that they cant grief with?
It seems like we need to protect some things from visitors griefing, like animals. I do not know anything about that but I wanted to mention it.
Also I think it is time to move to the new thread, start it up just a little bit?

No, not messed up at all, we're long done with the red! They are there for everyone to use as they like! Don't worry about what color the last person used, just go for it. If anyone needs to reserve their color for just a day or two, just put a sign in that section of the pasture. If there's no sign, then there's no worries.

Everyone,
As far as the 16 dedicated Rainbow Pastures, they are finished and stocked now, one for each color of wool. They don't have water walls, though, so sometimes sheep escape. For this reason, we need to LEAVE THE SHEEP IN THESE PASTURES UNSHEARED, so we know which ones to breed and which ones to get rid of. Please breed first, then shear and kill the extra sheep. Leave six sheep with their wool in the pasture when you are done. If you find sheep in the wrong pasture, or outside wandering around, just go ahead and shear and kill them. (Or lead them back to the right pasture, but that's not really worth it.) Sometimes animals despawn or die, too, so that's why I want to plan to have six in each as the goal.

I think maybe the best place for the new builder chests is in the group storage room, where we already have a locked door. Except... we might want to reserve the storage room password until after they've been builders for a few days? In that case, we could section the visitor info room into two parts? Each could have chests and signs for the right group of people. Seems like there are *plenty* of signs in there to do that if we want, and if Helio is okay with it.
I looked at some bukkit mods and didn't see any that were especially for protecting animals. I'll have a deeper look inside the threads for some of the more general ones. Otherwise, I guess we need to build a wall. I need to move the cow pasture first, though, don't do it yet! :smile.gif:
I imagine that we warp to the center medallion in the storage area. Shall we begin with more warps than that, make it two, "hub" and one "set home".
Add on: GODDAMMIT! DO NOT PLANT FREAKING TREES IN THE HUB AREA OR ON THE ISLAND WITHOUT PLACING TORCHES IN THEM!
I WILL NOT RUN AROUND AND FIX CREEPER HOLES JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE AN LAZY ASS!
Nuff said.
I vote for just using 1 warp: "hub" and also the command "set home". For the time being at least.
I also left the big red text in the quote. Start to look like griefing to me as it continues day by day by day in spite of Mr B lightening or chopping the trees, putting signs and reminders here at the forum. Use your brain, the island is not supposed to be used as a tree farm (unless with bonemeal and during daytime). Another tip is to use bonemeal and farm inside the train staition at night.
Do we hate creepers because they make big holes or because they kill us? I have the option to make them hurt us, but not terrain. Or I can set everything up the way we had it on WiTA.
Burrows, I totally agree about the warps but I'll let everyone weigh in on that.
And sorry about the trees, that was totally me. Apparently I'm a noob again! I planned on cutting them down right away, but got distracted and never got around to it.

HAHAHA! Master is a noob and I totally whipped his ass! If you were distracted by your little girl it is ok. ;-)
Mr B says: Creeper killers would be ok but they dont really add to the game experience. But Creeper griefers must go! I say I found it scary enough with just spiders, zombies and skellies and wont mind if crepers just say sssssssss and nothing more....

My first render was missing some textures (hence the pink blocks) but that will be fixed on the next rendering.
Question: should I trim the map and add borders or is that just me being OCD?
Your just being OCD.. The map is fine :biggrin.gif: Are we going to get the feature back where we can see where people are? I loved that about the last map.
Yayy!!
