I have designed a social experiment for my server in Minecraft 1.17. The concept is that the server is competitive. More importantly, the world border is only 250 blocks wide and PvP is turned off... most of the time. That's where the War Nights come in. Every real-life day, or 72 Minecraft days, the world border shrinks to 100 blocks, and players are randomly spread in the area. PvP is then turned on. The goal is to kill as many people as possible. Each war night is 20 minutes long. If you win the war nights, you get 5 extra hearts until the end of the next one. The final catch is that those with the fewest kills lose one of three fundamental lives. Once all three lives are lost, you are immediately banned from the server and eliminated from the experiment. The last player standing wins.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Please reply if you are interested in joining, along with your IGN. This server is Minecraft Java only, in version 1.17. Once players have been selected, the time of war nights will be decided and people will join the server for the first time.
The most time I plan on this taking is a week to start, or when (if) we reach 10 players. If we don't have five players before a week, I'll probably cancel it or inform people that it might be delayed.
