Hello! I'm starting a small & friendly 1.16.4 server for any LGBTQIA+ Minecrafters!
My aim for The Oasis is a tight-knit server with a few quality-of-life plugins, but still remaining close to vanilla Minecraft. I already have the server set-up, some small spawn infrastructure, just need some cool people to bring it to life! Like the title suggests this is a server geared towards LGBT+ Minecrafters who are looking for some new Minecraft friends and a community-based SMP experience. I don't have economy, Towny or Factions plugins but I think it would be cool to have organic factions/communities(not necessarily with a "PVP/War" server dynamic of the factions being against each other, but just some of us coming together. Of course, if you'd like to go it alone the map is big enough to make your own epic base! And I'll never tell you how you have to play.) I would be the only owner of the server but would be playing right along with you in survival, only there to make sure everything flows along and noone is making the server toxic or griefing.
Info about The Oasis server:
-18,000 x 18,000 map with a border
-(Pretty much) vanilla SMP
-24/7 Hosted
-Quality of life Plugins:
*Only one person needs to sleep to skip the night
*Pronouns plugin
*Set your home and TP back
*Pickup mob spawners with a Silk Touch pick
*Oh The Dungeons You'll Go! a plugin to spawn in dungeons filled with loot...but be careful some of them are pretty intense
*Shulkers respawn in End cities
*Tree felling by just breaking one block
*Sit on stairs and slabs or sit on any block with a command.
-Other plugins:
*Discord voice channel integration to make local voice chatting in-game possible
*DynMap to display a map of the whole world along with players and markers in a web browser
Requirements to become a member:
-Must have a mic to do a short "interview" with me before joining + for community events down the line, voice chatting in-game.(Noone will be required to use the in-game local voice chatting/their mic if they don't want to, but in my experience it creates a much closer community and in the case of "factions" you can chat with your members without having to type in chat and able to better communicate)
-Must have Discord
-Must be a cool person

-Why you think The Oasis would be a good fit for you: I struggle with larger servers because it feels almost impossible to get into the community without butting in or intruding in what's already going on, or feeling like I joined too late to really belong. I'm also ace and I'd love to get to know more LGBT+ people, maybe make some lasting friendships in a small community.
-If you could be best friends with any superhero, who would you choose?: Oh man, I can't really answer this question because I never got into the superhero genre. Does Frozone from the Incredibles count? He seems chill, pun intended.

This server is not SPECIFICALLY for YouTubers/Twitch streamers etc., but I'd love to have a few creators and the more creators on the server, the easier it is for the creators to collab and create content.
