We have a Hermitcraft style server going with 4-5 regular players currently. The server is about 2 months old and started with a few more people but many have become inactive. It is our first "Season" and our main goal this season is to find a good group of maybe 15 people who want to play regularly, build shops, mini games, and have fun. We are an adult server with people from all over the world but 18+ only please. There are a few shops in the shopping district and a couple fun minigames already! Alot of us are pretty good redstoners and more are welcome but we need more builders. Most of us are pretty good builders but having a couple people who focus on building big beautiful structures would be fun and our shopping district will have plenty of supplies for you! (working on a concrete shop currently to supply builders with tons of colorful pre watered concrete)
Post here if interested or hit me up on discord Borctheorc#0034
Dont be worried about comming in a little late as we plan on starting a fresh server once we get a good group of regular players
I am interested in joining this server. I do not think I am a great builder or redstoner but I can do both adequately enough to make some fun/interesting stuff. Attached are some of the stuff I built in my world.
I play most nights so I will probably be on most days, but work and family life usually keeps me busy during daylight hours so I can't play for 12 hours straight. Please let me know if you would like to know anything else.
I am currently looking for a server to play on and yours seems a good choice for a couple of reasons.
To start this off, though, I have to say that I am very new to the game, so if you are strictly looking for experienced Minecraft players, this is not going to be a good fit. I started a few weeks ago because a group of friends got me to get the game and now I am completely hooked, but my friends have all lost interest again (they are roughly a decade younger than me and used to play it as kids, also with plenty of Mods and now they come back to it once a year, but only for a bit and then that's it for them). So then I went and started a single player world to get started from scratch and progress through the game at my own pace and see what's what and how rudimentary farms work and so on. I am, however, quite a social player, as I originally started playing world of warcraft during my late teens with a 25 people raid guild (so 30+ individual and daily active players) and while playing on my own and learning not to suck completely, is fine for a while, it does leave me missing the social aspect, which I feel can be quite impactful in Minecraft.
So, why do I feel this might be a good fit?
Since I started playing MC, I have looked at quite a lot of tutorials and by finding Grian's videos very helpful, I stumbled across Hermitcraft and was very intrigued by it. I am very interested in getting good at building all kinds of structures, with and without a purpose, large and small. Seeing as you said that you are taking this time to build up your community and then restart the server to embark on a new journey together at some point, I think that it might be a good opportunity for me to get a bit of experience in server life and exploring some build ideas. There is certainly a lot I don't know and I have a lot of growing to do, but if I fit into your community, I am sure that I will catch up eventually.
A bit about myself:
I am 30 years old and live in Germany, written and verbal communication in English is no problem at all. I am a musician, so right now, I have quite a bit of time on my hands... I am usually a bit reserved at the start, but as soon as I am comfortable around new people, I am very open and sociable. I respect rules and also feel that they are necessary for a communal project, such as a shared server.
I started playing world of warcraft when I was around 16 or 17 and since I stopped a couple of years later, I have been playing quite a lot of League of Legends. I do, however, feel that playing too much of it makes me very moody, since it can be very competative and the community is abysmally bad and gets worse with every season.
Just let me know what you think and feel free to ask any question you like. You can also add me on discord via Daergel#9925
