Hey! Welcome to AquatiCraft! This is a survival server in which 20 players will explore a map and follow specific objectives and obtain materials and resources to construct a giant structure of their choosing. At AquatiCraft, we strive to focus on players proving their building skills; this essentially means that players will be individually exploring and must build a home that symbolizes them as they please. Land can be claimed at the start of the game known as the “Break-Off” (See Below). Land claiming is based on the trust of other players, yet you cannot exceed a certain amount of land. There is one specific requirement. People who will be constructing such bases will need to consider themselves “good” at building. The server is centralized on an aesthetically pleasing appeal. We want to generate a world in which players construct structures large and proud that it will shine when a final walk comes in the end. Along with players building, we happen to monitor the server week after week to check for the following: creativity, consistency, appropriate building, and commitment. Nobody likes a quitter which is why we ask that you join only if you will stay committed to the server. There are also general rules on the end and the nether. Do not make the world look horrible. Please resort to making paths look creative and make them fit in with their surroundings. Pillaring and one-block paths are to be avoided in the real world. In the end, it is allowed given the harsh conditions presented. When fighting the ender dragon, wait for the majority of the server to be there. We want everyone to be involved equally.
Shopping Center
For those of you familiar with the HermitCraft, we will be including something very similar. A designated area toward spawn will be known as the “shopping center” in which players can purchase a plot (up to 60 days worth of land) and pile up particular resources in which they have an exceeding amount of. Players are only allowed one category of blocks to sell per plot (i.e. stained terracotta is one category). Plots are sold in a currency of $1,000 per 30 days. Why so expensive? Currency in this game is depending on diamonds. Diamonds can be sold at the front of the shop for $100 each. They are there to minimize inventories being overflowed with diamonds. Other objects can be sold for currency as well; blocks such as gold, iron, and emerald can also be exchanged for server money. One last item to conclude the basis of this section is the sizing of plots. Plots are dimensions of 10x10, but players can purchase larger plots (15x15 and 20x20) for higher prices. 15x15 plots are sold at $1,500 per 30 days, while 20x20 plots are sold at $2,000 per 30 days.
Structure Respect
Not only are players expected to respect fellow players’ builds, but they are also to not harm villages, pillager towers, or woodland mansions. Players must come to a general agreement with other explorers to determine if a natural-structure can be destroyed. This is to eliminate players benefitting off the structures and not having it in their path from time to time. We want the players to exceed and earn a profit off of these structures. Looting them is allowed, but destroying them and killing off entities inside are prohibited (excluding hostile enemies).
Server Check-Ups
Once every week, the server managers will stroll through and double-check on the server. If they see builds that look out of place, seem like they don’t belong, look abandoned, or anything of that similar sort they will remove them. There is also a positive side to these check-ups. We will be recording individual player progress and making a YouTube series about it. This is to expand the community of our server and possibly create more servers on the side. We are all about growing and this is a simple step to it!
Server Events
During frequent occasions, server managers will display games players can sign up for while they are surviving in the world. Many of these games can include headhunting, prank wars, king of the hill, and plenty of other fun things to do in the meantime! These games are there to bring the players together in friendly competitions. Despite them being friendly, however, players may join games that require killing fellow explorers. During these games, specific rules will be set aside to ensure players don’t lose their belongings. Aside from games, loot drops and scavenger hunts will also be included during rare occasions. These can be loaded with anything from pure junk to luxurious items. Players are not required to take part in such events, but it is highly encouraged as it is put in place to meet fellow players. Another thing we will be adding is meetings amongst explorers and staff members. It is just to make sure we are on the same page with everything and it is basically a way to ensure everyone is following rules. If we need to add or remove anything, we will make sure all players are aware we are doing it before we actually follow through with it. Meetings are also there to announce server events and such. Most announcements will be made in Discord, however.
Objectives
Each player will be given the same objectives; if completed, players will receive benefits from the server managers and moderators. Many of the objectives can range from easy to extremely difficult. Objectives will be put in place as soon as the game starts.
Break-Off
At the start of the server, all players will be put in the same area. They will all be let off to explore at the same time. It is a free-for-all land exploration off of spawn, meaning all players can claim a certain amount of land at the start. I ask that players do not claim land too close to one another, but also don’t travel a large number of blocks away from spawn (5,000 or higher). This is the only way to make it fair for everyone. Once you found a spot, players will be instructed to stand there and an admin will come along and set the point on a custom map to mark where the player will be situated. Players are not allowed to live in natural structures or live near 100 blocks of them. Naturally-generated structures are community tools in which players are allowed to benefit from them. The break-off will begin when the majority of players are online and when everything is set up and ready to go.
