I have made a port forward server on completely vanilla minecraft 1.13.2 and am having some issues with connectivity.
I followed the instructions of online tutorials and successfully ran the server, my friend could connect everythings all hunky dory.
After a few hours he is kicked and when he attempts to rejoin it says "disconnected" and or "Timed Out"
the server registers that he has joined but immediately he is kicked
I am almost certain that I have set up port forward correctly, as it has worked before
we have both deleted/redownloaded minecraft
I have checked the portforward on canyouseeme.org and it sees that it is up
I have tried editing the server.properties file, leaving the ip blank, online mode false, reduce render setting etc.
I have tried turning firewalls for both my pc and the router off, as well as my friend's firewalls
I have tried adjusting the server.properties file by leaving the ip or online mode blank, render distance lowered, online mode off etc.
I tried using static IP, although I checked the public IP from my router and it matches what my friend has successfully connected to
I added my port forward to my computer's network sharing options, both types
I started a completely fresh server under the same settings as the first and no luck, same errors my friend was getting
No mods, texture packs, or different version on either of our games
I do not know what else to try, and I don't know why it has stopped working. We did not change any settings and it quit on him mid game.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I think I posted all the relevant info.
This is the wrong place to put your problem and it is unlikely to get answered here.
Put it in Server Support and Administration for the best support.
~ I have never done a server hosting at my house for that exact reason, there is always cheap monthly hosting around that you can use that are all set up for you.
ok thanks, I'll move it to that board
