MCTDF has been a project I've scrapped and brought back at least 5 times now, but I've decided to complete it and make this post so people know of it.
Due to the World War renaissance started by Battlefield 1 I thought why not bring the first World War into Minecraft. This will not be a BF1 clone, I want to present the war as accurately as I can in Minecraft. I am a huge history buff for both WWs so I hope I can do a good job. Right now I have 4 planned countries:
Entente Powers:
United States
Britain
Canada
Central Powers:
Germany
Instead of having individual hubs for each map I want to give each map there own individual hub. So 1 map=1 hub.
How the gameplay will work:
Each faction gets six trenches, The goal for each team is to capture the final trench. The final trench is the only one with a "capture point". What I mean is to capture the other five trenches you have to make the enemy retreat and fall back to there next trench. Once they are all out of the trench your teams Spawn point will be moved up to that trench and the enemies will be moved to there current trench.
Teams:
Each team has 2 squads. A squad contains: 1 Officer, 6 Rifleman, 2 Gunners, 1 Sniper, 1 Specialist and 1 Grenadier.
The officer is basically the leader of the squad. Officers have a book of commands that contains 3 primary commands and a whole bunch of secondary commands. A primary command is a command that everyone in your squad has to follow. The primary commands are: Attack, Defend, and retreat. They are a whole team thing, both officers have to agree on one. If not then a vote happens. once a decision has been made the enemy team will be informed.

I have started work on the first maps, I have been busy with other things like school and haven't been able to work on it, sadly I may have to cut down the six trenches to three, to get things going as planned and on time. It shouldn't effect the game very much besides making rounds shorter.

sadly for the time being I'm putting the project on hold. I'm having problems with Minecaft and Apex hosting and I want to make sure it will actually work before I continue working on it.

A lot of things have happened in my life right now and I've put the product on hold for much much longer than expected. I'm glad to announce that I'm working on the project again.

hello is this like a server will it ever be playable or is it a dead project
