Crafting Changes

Now instead of players magically knowing how to craft everything within Minecraft straight away, your character needs to practice and study the recipes in order not to mess them up. Early game this isn't much of a problem but when ingredients start becoming expensive and machinery part requirements start building things get very interesting (and quite frustrating if RNG is mean) very quickly.

Reactor - Provides Power in exchange for yellorite
Lumbermill - Provides Lumber,& Saplings Over Time [as long as thats what planted]
Farm - Provides Liquid Meat, Pink Slime, Experience & Sewage Over Time
Science Labs - Research Labs / Ore Processing
Boiler Room/Water Treatment - Will be important for hydration
Shops - Buy or sell things you find/steal
Library - Books, Spell casting Related Things
Quest Hub - Hire Nps & Questing Related

Player Housing - Buy a place to store items, however if inactive you will lose

we made big changes to the mines, il have to get a pic later but it features wakkys rubble mod

Class's

all class's will have their own skin, set of weapons, gear, & skills
they were programed with skill API & a few other plugins but were going to wait on Frizzil to update Hack Slash Mine to 1.7, hes going to let us use HSM as a framework for our class's!
this will allow us to have real stats like stamina, agility, strength, intellect, crit strike, armour penetration, resistances. things you would expect to see in an BADASS RPG

im only going to add in a few class's to start. more & more over time, with each release of a class im going todo a "Trading card", however i will be providing translated cards so it will look like the 2nd blue mage below

i should be able to enter alpha by the end of the week
i have not decided on adding the class's in, i want to change the mod/plugins im using currently to something else that will be alot better in the end

the mines below midgar are cool i had intended on setting them up to randomly change to different ores
& setup a tier system but the mod devs arnt taking my bug finding or suggestions seriously so idk what todo

creating the mines are SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS, they eat up most of my time because they must be made manually due to NBT data, i cant use any kind of mod/plugin or world editor to make or manipulate them, it sucks so much

i spent 4 hours working on S1 mines and i havent even put a dent into it...fml

its also hard being the only dedicated member. ive poured my heart and soul into this project. i find myself losing interest at times,

wakkys net is not stable so he cant really help much atm

ive been playing & Streaming ALOT D2 LOD Eastern Sun Mod, im trying to break away from that and get back to working on the project

is all that interesting, however il stream some better stuff later

wakky successfully was able to compile 1 of the mods we were looking
to use for our class's, in its current state it is extremely unstable
however this is given me a huge change to study & work with the mod
instead of waiting for a official release

however if i make this switch i will have to remove the weather & colored lights mods
this is a hard choice to make because both of these mods are extremely important or the feel of realism i am aiming for

i prob wont stream anymore today

after playing with Archimedes Ships Plus & testing some things i was worried about i broke the world file, i have a backup from 2 days ago so this is setback but it could be alot worse

well long story short this has cost me
- 2 days of progress
- 6 days of my time to fix the errors/bugs because i had to rebuild the modpack from scratch

hey everyone wanted to give you a status update

the last few days have been trying to get a few mod devs to co-op with me, its been really stressful, things were not going the way i had intended.

angry, frustrated & not knowing what todo Hero sent me a msg & said some really great things to me,

later i ran into my partner where we talked about how we were going to handle the issue, i had done some research and gave him a lead, a few hours later a new mod was born,

were replacing the mines under midgar with something a little different, were calling it rubble, as of right now when you mine the rubble, it has a chance to drop the following cobble is highest chance while emerald is the lowest chance,

right now we have only added the nuggets but were going to add things like ingots and blocks,
its also saving me ALOT of time, a small mine could take me up to 30 mins to finish however with this change i can do them in 5 or less

i cant even begin to explain how excited i am, il take some screen shots later when we have an official texture

i havent attempted to use the old buttions, il give it a try but i cant seem to find a render that i like/can work with but thats why i love photoshop

as for the logo & copyrights im not really sure, however i could argue it falls under fair use.

i would need todo more research in
(1) copyrightability of the underlying source work;
(2) the derivative work right;
(3) fair use.

im really worried about a cease and desist if anything, however these are my arguments

- we do not deprive the owner of the source material of income
- we work as free advertisement and promotion of the original source material
- we are non-profit.

square enix shutdown a FFVII web series in 2013 [they were asking for money on kickstarter]
however i see a few fan made FFVII games that have not been issued a takedown. [not asking for money]

if they come after me , id counter them with "not until i see a squeal to Legend Of The Seven Stars"
i seriously love that game.... but i really dont know what id do. laws get weird when you cross country's

my goal was to be well known throughout the FFVII networks including square enix, however i dont want it to be negative

i do know that the midgar map i have was created by AEGIS GAMING in blender, AEGIS owns the model so square enix cant make me change the map

well sector 1 mines have officially been finished ive included a few pictures, the first one is from world edit, you can see more in then in the other pics

hey guys just wanted to let everyone know we have been hard at work
sectors 1-3 mines/rubble piles are finished im currently working on S4 right now
ive spent 33 hours by myself replacing blocks, my wrist is killing me but i plan on finishing S4 today if not S5

alpha is prob only a week or 2 away now, it really will depend on how quickly the mines are finished as well as the major buildings

wakky has found alot of usefull code, we do think that we will be able to asign class skins, so all mages will look like mages,
this means that your normal skin you use will NOT be avail on our server, we want everyone to know what they are fighting

theirs alot of other stuff id like to write but ive spent too much time typing & not enough breaking/replacing blocks
