ChuckHale, firstly, I appreciate the feedback, I'll be sure to include more to the personality of the character when/if I put in another application. Thank you.
But, I said the character retains sociopathic behavior, this does not mean he is a sociopath. Secondly, I don't really understand why the concept of living in a vault is far-fetched to you. I didn't include dates because I didn't want to interfere with the years/specifics (and to avoid comments like yours, which I still don't quite understand, as I never used dates...) I kept it ambiguous intentionally. Also you say "The way it seems to me is that your character and his party of pals went out only a couple years after the bombs dropped. The world would still be full of deadly radiation. And the server is set in 2285." Sure, this is the way it seems, but it's not what it really is. Fallout 3 takes place in 2277, yes. I'm aware the server takes place 8 years after the setting of Fallout 3, but is it really plausible that my character would die of the "deadly radiation" you mentioned if the main character in Fallout 3 doesn't die of radiation (and isn't a ghoul). I mean if it works in the actual game Fallout I see no reason why it wouldn't here. This server is based of the game, no?
one last thing to mention, my OOC information is almost identical to tjt98's which is funny to me, since her definitions were seen as acceptable, anyways that's besides the point.
I hope you look over this and comprehend what I'm trying to say in my app. Thanks for your time bro
First of all, I don't appreciate the passive-aggressive tone you have there. Second of all, no, that's wrong. You seem to not understand timelines. Fallout 3 takes place two HUNDRED years after the initial bomb drops. That means, which should be obvious to anybody, means that the Lone Wanderer is not the first generation in the vault. Most likely, over 200 years, a 3rd or 4th generation. This means that the radiation has subsided, by quite a bit. But the way you are saying in your character's backstory implies that it had been only a couple years after the bombs dropped, and your character was the first generation in this bunker. This means that the world is still full of deadly radiation, and also 200 years before the events of Fallout 3.
can your character be part of a faction like the brotherhood
To have a character in a faction pre-server, you must first discuss the prospect with the leader of the stated faction, then write an application that meets the desired quality and background of said leader. Our faction list is on the forums. During the server itself, joining of a faction is determined purely by RP, neither guaranteed nor barred.
As for server IP, you have not missed it's existence. Presently, the server IP is only available to staff, as building has not yet been concluded. Upon launch, the IP will be present upon the first post and forums.

Name: Diana Anderson
Age: 29
Appearance: For her appearance, look to the character card for reference. Additions to that are that she often has a worried look to her and that she's not entirely flesh and bone any longer. She hides her replacement robotic right leg underneath old and faded jeans, but she can't quite hide the right hand that was removed, it is visible for all. The current hand has been recently attached, with the metal around it shaped to that of a normal hand with dark grey as the color of the metal. Sometimes smoke rises from the parts.
Personality: Diana is highly intelligent and used to be charismatic, though her personality shifted after her imprisonment to being far more reserved and quiet, fear at times taking her over. When she isn't afraid however she can often analyze tech within seconds and figure out how to break it down and what parts would be useful to her in any of her current projects.
Backstory: Look at character card for backstory previous to her time in AoOF
After she arrived in San Francisco, she was given the position of Elder, the youngest in the Brotherhood to ever hold that title, but it was for a pitifully small chapter that was barely armed, since they only had one objective, to secure a trade contract with the Shi to have them refurbish and produce power armor for the Brotherhood. That goal was met by Diana in the short time that her chapter was in San Francisco, losing only one member of the Brotherhood and getting onto good terms with Roland Nai and the town of Shanty. This wasn't to last however.
Certain information had come to be known by the Head Paladin and Elder Anderson that there was a chance a man she knew, Robinson, was the head of the covert Enclave forces in the region. Despite her warnings not to do so, the Head Paladin ordered a small group of Knights to capture Robinson and take him to the bunker, violating the Chains that Bind. He was soon stripped of his ranking once this was found out, but Diana had no other way to deal with the situation other than leave Robinson in the bunker, for now.
Diana managed to win his respect somewhat when she managed to get Roland Nai to heal his current girlfriend, a Shi woman named Kongxu. However this didn't save her when she was told she was to be transferred to Lost Hills for a status report and a new assignment, for on her way out of the city she was ambushed by the rest of the Enclave's forces and taken captive. After much torture, during which she lost her right leg due to a Super Sledge, she gave up the code and location of the bunker. The Enclave made swift work of the lesser armed chapter, slaughtering them all and freeing Robinson and Kongxu.
Two years later, she was 'working' for the Enclave, though she refused to make weaponry. She instead is making cybernetic limbs as replacements for those who have lost some of their own, such as the Enclave member Gideon who lost his hand during an attack on the East Coast, though that came after she was shipped east with all of her captors, bar Robinson. She was to continue to make her parts, afraid of what the future holds in store for her...

Name: Jonathan Basil Eckstein
Age: 29
Appearance: Jonathan’s appearance is, at first glance, a bit sickly. He’s tall, standing at 6’5”, with broad shoulders, but an otherwise lean build. His grey-blue eyes seem sunken and shadowed at all times, nearly bruised. They seem sharp in terms of alertness, however- Almost predatory. The lighter tone of his skin suggests he avoids the sun, or at least, covers up a lot. If one saw him outside, they may affirm this- He tends to wear a half-face gas mask covering his face from below the bridge of his nose. His face is unscarred, and he looks older than he is, with a streak of grey running through his jet black hair, amongst other occasional strands of silver. He holds himself with a severe and alert posture.
Due to travels, he wears a thick and dark, greyish brown duster jacket with a brimmed hat, carrying with him a small knife and an old pistol with a habit of constantly breaking and jamming, despite regular servicing and care. He carries a brown leather bag with him full of medical supplies, and a small pair of holotapes. If one were to play them, they would be encrypted. If he were not a traveling man at this time, he would opt for a suit, often with a labcoat over top
Personality: Where to start? On one hand, he’s level headed, quick thinking and frankly, an asshole.
On the other hand, he can be arguably neurotic, meticulous and overbearing.
He’s a formal man, severe and strict with himself, and often with others. He’s to the point and doesn’t wait for others to catch up with his train of thought. Far from warm, he won’t blatantly insult anyone, though he will not apologise, either, n’or will he compliment them unless he feels it of notable importance to do so. It’s hard to truly get to know him, simply because he doesn’t seem to really want anyone to. He has a strong distaste for what he calls “The Outside”. He can often be found searching for mask filters or a source of clean, hot water.
Backstory: Jonathan was born to Enclave officer Richard Eckstein, and his wife, an ex-Vault dweller by the name of Clara. The year was 2256- December of, at that. He was raised into the Enclave lifestyle from the start, and his father had high hopes for the young man. He displayed intelligence and sharpness from an early age, and his parents both sought to nurture it.. Albeit, in different ways. Her parents often disagreed on his upbringing, as his mother wanted him to experience a childhood that was “normal”, though his father would rather have forgone such liberties in lieu of utilising and expanding on Jonathan’s intelligence and intuition.
Jon’s mother was a gentle woman by heart, and though she was brought into the Enclave lifestyle like any other, she retained a quiet hope that things may change. She taught these things to her son in secret, in hushed whispers and quiet voices. At first, it seemed to stick. After all, it seemed that, maybe, they would have better luck in leading a wasteland more genuinely if they didn’t.. Well, kill anyone not born within their own, or the shelter of a Vault. She told him to keep these values inside- To spare the lives of the naïve, or the weak.
His father, not as much. Purist to the bone, Richard intently taught his child the near opposite. He believed that impure life—Mutants, ghouls, and even wastelanders that were “tainted” by the years of fallout deserved nothing more than death, they had no place in a true America in his eyes.
As such, Jonathan grew with a slightly warped and skewed vision of the wasteland, and life in general. For a time, he believed his mother, but obeyed his father when it was necessary. Of course, the boy was taught all an officer should know- Proper use and care for guns, survival and fighting tactics. He was maybe just eight, possibly nine, when he first took an interest in medicine.
As it turns out, he excelled at this. As he aged and grew up, it became clear enough that he would be part of their medical and research teams, as he displayed a fair amount of potential, and a drive to prove himself. It was during his schooling and learning that he met a woman, around his age- Her name was Elizabeth. They quickly became friends, and, as luck would have it, something more. He had not been told that she was, in fact, the child of an outsider-A researcher that had been indoctrinated into the faction due to her prowess and capability.
Jonathan and Elizabeth married in 2278. He still didn’t know, and even if he did, by now, he was far too deeply attracted to her to change.
In 2280, they were expecting their first child together. However, trouble with his parents began to deeply affect his personal life as his mother opted to split from Richard as his ideas of a pure America overtook him. Mere nights later, she abandoned the Enclave, disappearing. It took days for the information to seep to the higher reaches of command, where they immediately looked to Jonathan.
Jonathan Eckstein was 24. Suspected of falling to the same so-called weaknesses that consumed his mother, clouding her judgement and causing her to flee the Enclave. He was not outright killed, n’or was he re-indoctrinated. A waste of time, that. He was only given a task. Find one of these impures. A super mutant or a wastelander, it didn’t matter. Find them, kill them. Prove he hadn’t gone soft, like his mother.
Jon had his resignations about it, but he couldn’t risk it- Elizabeth was sickly as it was, and wouldn’t survive what she’d be put through if he refused. He set off to find some suitable target. He knew that to just shoot the first passerby point blank wouldn’t do- He had to make what he was about to do meaningful to the Enclave. Something that would count for them.
And as he hunted, Elizabeth grew more ill. It came to the point where he had to stop searching and try to treat his wife, lest she and their child die. He didn’t forget about what he had to do, but he knew he just had to keep her healthy for a little longer to be able to save them.
Such was not the case.
Elizabeth died five months into her pregnancy during a surgical procedure that Eckstein had hoped would save her life. In the span of five minutes, he had lost her.
To add insult to injury, the Enclave took this as his kill. The outsider that could have tainted the purity of the Enclave, dead. And his own wife, to boot?
In truth, the effect this had on him was more effective than any indoctrination or reassignment ever could have been. Exkstein began to devote himself to his work and his faction, becoming more meticulous and distant from others. One of his superiors eventually sent him off, in hopes that time away from the lab and clinics would improve his mental situation some, rather than do something drastic. It was during his time, in sense, serving as an undercover “agent” to deliver information on the outside to their base, that his distaste and aversion of the average wastelander solidified. Yet, when it was suggested that personnel move out and regroup to to the east, Eckstein was one of the first considered and selected. Medical prowess and outside knowledge was needed for the trip, and he had it. Somewhat bitterly, he accepted.
Few personnel actually made it to the apple, truth be told. Many died of wounds too severe to be treated on the road, or their infections got the better of them. Eckstein, luckily or unluckily, was not amongst them. And so he came to be within the hostile city of New York, with dry hopes of contacting with any other forces that had made it, or perhaps, to set up something of his own, if it were not the case.

Name: Kay Lesko
Age: 18
Appearance:black hooded cloak and dark jeans. mutated skin
Personality: Calm, two sided, grumpy
Backstory
Kay Lesko was born in 2267 in the small lab in grayditch, D.C. with his mother and father. As a small kid, Kay learned everything there was to know on science. And while he did, his parent always argued because of his father's obession on the mutation of the Fire Ants that he had inflicted on them. Finally his mother left in 2276 with Kay after his father had injected Kay with the F.E.V. virus.
The F.E.V. virus flowed in Kay's veins. His mother knew he'd change one day so she hid him away from what was left of humanity. One night, his mother disappeared without a trace. Coming out of cave where he'd been, Kay was weak and hungry. He traveled 10 miles before meeting a caravan and collapsing.
The caravan was a group of talon company soldiers, looking for new soldiers. They brought Kay to talon company headquarters where he found a job as a courier. He robbed caravans, delivered things and killed. He was paid little and treated a little bit better than a slave.
So in January, 2277, Kay escaped on a caravan run, robbed a large group of caravan and maked off with over 3,000 caps and small pistol, a sniper rifle and a baseball bat.
He travelled around the country for a year, the F.E.V. virus causing him extreme agony.
Finally, he stopped in Nevada to see the famous New Vegas in 2278. There, he witnessed a man by the name of Cusear. Soon, Kay could tell no good could come as he learned of Cuasear growing army. He stuck around for four more years as he decided to make his final stop at a community known as the divide. There was peace for a while but before long, fears of Cuaser's army attacking as they did the dam caused Kay to leave once more.
Leaving, Kay spent the next 6 years, wandering from town to town, getting whatever jobs he could. Finally in 2285, he found himself in the Empire Wasteland. Finally he thought he found somewhere he could live. Lets see how it goes.
“Tunnel Snakes Rule!”
Alright, alright. The good doctor is here to review your app. Let's take us a nice peak...
-Appearance. I would love to see some more on Kay. Is he tall, short? weak, strong? what's his hair color? where did he get a cloak post war? It's pretty tough to find a cloak even in the present day.
-Personality. This needs a lot of expanding. I know nothing of Kays beliefs, tendencies, or really anything.
-Backstory. FEV is extremely hard to come by and pretty much makes the average character over powered due to its effects, I highly suggest being an average wastelander. You should not be related to any existing characters from any of the main games, especially having one of them as a father. There's also the fact that FEV is extremely dangerous and rare. Why would Talon Company take a 10 year old boy into their group? How did he walk 10 miles unarmed, untrained, starving and being a child? How did Kay get away with robbing and killing as a 10 year old? Caravans are on average guarded, I would doubt a 10 year old could win a gunfight against an armed caravan. From DC to Nevada is a very long way. Walking there would be near impossible even for an extremely fit grown man, let alone a young boy. The divide is even more dangerous then the the route to Vegas. Walking from Vegas to New York would be just as hard as before, especially being so young and untrained. The average character on this RP server is not meant to be a Lone Wanderer or Courier type, rather a normal citizen. Kay has been injected with FEV, which alone makes him over powered. Add that to all the issues listed above and I have to list you as...
Pains me to say it but I would highly suggest starting a new character, as this will be tough to salvage.
Just to explain the FEV virus, on the wiki, it said Dr. Lesko had the FEV virus ... and I miss calcuted the age, by the time he was starving, he was suposed to be 16

Name: Kassandra (AKA Kass)
Age: 27
Appearance: Underneath Kass's dark hood lies a beautiful face with haunted blue/green eyes. Her body, a tall, curvy figure, hidden by heavy clothing, is severely scarred yet still hold the grace and elegance from her once glamorous past. Her hair is auburn cut ragged by that of a dull blade. She has a limp leg that drags with her. While she has been traveling in the sun for awhile, but her skin is still pale and delicate.
Personality: Kassandra is very cautious, her past has left her unsure of any other human beings. She was once a very open flirty girl but her dark past twisted her veiw on mankind. Kassandra is not easily befriended. Her mood tends to sway fairly easily, which affects what her moral disposition is on a subject at any moment. She can feel a great desire to help people one moment, but then burn them to ashes the next.
Backstory: Kassandra was once apart of a vault whos number is long forgotten, her time in thevault was short lived ten minutes after she was born she was placed outside due to the vaults capacity being over loaded. Her twin sister was kept in the vault for she was born two minutes before Kassandra. Yet when they placed the newly birthed Kassandra outside her cry alerted some nearby raider group who came to investigate the stressed cry. The raiders noticed the vault was not properly sealed and they quickly went inside and murdered everyone excluding children under the ages of 5. Kassandra and her twin were both taken by separate women and a few weeks later Kassandras adoptive mother realized the raider life was not for her and left with the tiny infant separating her sister Diane from her. Now for quite sometime the mother and daughter lived peacefully until sickness struck the beautifull loving mother. Her mother not wanting to leave her beloved without truth told her everything and that her sister, Diane Reckless, lived on. A few hours after she gave the information Kassandra buried her mother, her heart filled with anger, sadness, and grief. Even though her adopted mother kidnapped her she still felt the love for her for she was the only mother she had known. So kassandra traveled searching for her sister whose name was widely spread throughout the wasteland due to her trading posts. Eventually she met a woman named Ana whom she fell in love with. They searched together for some time until they came up blank. Kassandra decided to start a new life with Ana. With The help of Anas kind brother they successfully impregnated Kass. When Kass was eight months pregnant they got word of Diane. They set out but the stressful trip made Kass go into labor in the middle of nowhere. She delivered the small crying boy who, just like she had, alerted nearby raiders. The raiders took the child and two women as captives, Kass was to nurse her child who was to be the head raiders wifes child due to her own child passing. Ana was forced to perform sexual acts for the men. Once Kass had weaned her son she was casted out to be used for sex with the men. Ana saved her by distracting the men withan outbreak of violence as Kass escaped. She ran but not before hearing Ana's scream abruptly cut off. The only assumtion Kass could make was that they killed her. She knew her son was in good hands and she quickly fled to a town called Vardale where she stumbled upon her sister, Diane. She soon became acquaintedwith her life in Vardale and met a women named Erika whom she began a relationship with. Erika took good care of her and they were extremely close. Kass and Erika decided to become vigilantes for the city and during a fight with someones robot gone bad she was paralyzed waist down but after a year gained use of her right leg. She eventually met another woman named Jaq and she was bored of this town and knew of Erika's relations with a man so she decided to accompany Jaq to the big apple.

Personality: A bright mind tainted by the wasteland, happily cynical, two sided, grumpy, sad, scared to die. Trusting in people, as nobody has ever steered him wrong. He is trying to find something worth fighting for in the Apple or something to invest in.
Backstory
Kay was born in 2267 in a small house outside of DC with his older sister, Katlin. She protected him as much as she could. after all, her parents had died trying to protect them from a band of raiders while he was a baby. Finally in 2270, Katlin fell in love with a young courier. Kay, who was distrustful of him, quickly grew to like him when he taught him to live and survive in the wasteland, teaching him to use small guns, rifles and hand to hand combat. In 2277, when Kay was 10, due to a series of reasons, mostly stupidity and unrationalism, he secretly followed the courier on a mission that lasted two weeks. After about 5 days, the courier found him trying to follow him. he was ten he had his first blood.
A group of raiders attacked the two. Luckly due to some well placed mines and grenades and their weapon, the two managed to stop the group, the courier mostly killing most of them. In the battle, the courier is injured. Weak and dying, they stop in a small town, where they stay in a small hotel for the next 2 years, as Kay did some small jobs around the town, earning his stay in the room and earning more experience. At one time, the town was attacked by a band of raiders. Taking to a window in a high building, he used a sniper he often used to deal with fireantants and other menaces( since he didnt have size to his advantage ) to help aid the townsfolk. His spoils from the attack? An old Regulator cloak off of one of the raiders. Finally after a few infections and working off the food, .308 sniper rifle and the medicine and bullets, the two of the left the town. Traveling home, for it had been two years , they returned home to find the place, burned down. Inside in a scarthed bedroom, they found a charch body hanging from the ceiling. It was Katlin, she'd hung herself in grief after losing her brother. Grieving, the courier blamed Kay, but he knew that wouldnt be what she wanted. Forever Kay would be haunted by this.
Returning to the company, the courier lost his job. Without a job, it would be hard to live in the wasteland. So in 2275, after living off of loans and meanal labor, and with what little caps they had left, they bought a bramin and and a few supplies and opened a caravan. Together, they traveled around for 5 years. Finally, they came to the Empire Wasteland. Going around, they stayed there for another 4 years, selling guns, medicine. Soon, they began to disagree with what to do. And finally in 2285, they seperated with Kay staying in New York and The courier leaving to live in the DC area. With just 500 caps, Kay is ready to take a big bite out of the Big Apple.
“Tunnel Snakes Rule!”
Alright, let's take a look at your phase 2 application.
-Appearance. I would like more detail on this. Is he tan? pale? What about his hair? Does he have a beard? Is he clean shaven? What's his hair like?
-Personality. I would love some more detail on this as well. I still don't know what makes Kay unique. The personality seems generic and parts are contradictory, such as him being cynical and also trusting others.
-Backstory. Parents killed by raiders is extremely cliche. When Kay was 3 he was somehow able to learn hand to hand combat and gunplay? Any age under 10 would be extremely difficult to become anything near decent with guns and hand to hand combat. How did Kay survive these 5 days tracking a courier? How did Kay and a Courier survive against raiders? A courier is a delivery boy in lore, not like the player character was in New Vegas. He would be decent with guns sure, but doubtful to be good enough to survive against a raider ambush. Mines and grenades would take far too long to place when raiders are attacking. How did Kay survive these 2 years of doing jobs as a 12 year old boy? He would odds are get massacred if he ran into a gecko or any other things that go bump in the wastes. One doesn't need a job in the wasteland, most peoples jobs are staying alive. The two would not need a job as a caravaneer or courier as they would be more focused with survival. People should have just arrived to New York, not be there for 4 years. People also need to start from scratch, not carrying caps, weapons or any armor. All they should have is the clothes on their back.
Until these issues are fixed, I am sad to say that this application is...
Um...Remember I need a quick redo! See if I need to make some major changes.
First of all, I don't appreciate the passive-aggressive tone you have there. Second of all, no, that's wrong. You seem to not understand timelines.

Well my dear boy, this comes straight from the top. Our much
fearedbeloved owner Sanguine has apparently discussed this with all the right people. What's left to say other then you are...Alright, alright.
Okay!
Just to explain the FEV virus, on the wiki, it said Dr. Lesko had the FEV virus ... and I miss calcuted the age, by the time he was starving, he was suposed to be 16
I fixed it

Name: Jaq Romara
Age: 22
Appearance: 5'6", 125 lb.; Curvy and olive-toned, with a slightly muscular build,
her long ebony hair is accented with cherry-red highlights, which frames her
emerald eyes and demure face. Her wardrobe usually consists of a rugged, light-brown
duster with short sleeves, worn over a plain white shirt. Brown cargo pants, a dusty
pair of beige, lightweight combat boots, and a pair of dark leather gloves complete her outfit.
Personality: Fun-loving and hot-headed: She's always looking for something entertaining
to do, and when she fails to do so her violent and erratic behavior shines through. Having
snowball fights, burning down fishing huts, interrogating prisoners, assassinations, and
launching bottle-rockets accessorized with... *m'hm*... "toys" (due to the No-ERP rule,
I'll let you use your imagination of what this means), are among just some of the things that
she finds to be fun. She is also extremely flirty, witty and sometimes a bit of an ass.
Backstory: Life in the caravans was interesting for the first few years of Jaq's teenage life,
but she quickly grew tired of its repetitive and unexciting tone. Without grabbing many supplies,
she decided a last-minute adventure and ran away from her family, hopping the caravan routes
East. On her travels, she came across a band of Raiders, who, if not for her charm, would have
killed her. She persuaded her way into the band of misfits and fell in love with the lifestyle.
Mindless violence and a lack of morals or rules easily crept their way into the crevices of her values
and beliefs, which accented her desire to always find something fun to do. After a few years, she
became bored with the repetition of this lifestyle as well, and once again ran off onto a new adventure.
It wasn't long before she landed in Lansing, Michigan, which is where most of the excitement in her
story took place: Upon arrival, she quickly became associated with a town named the Federation of
Boris which was, believe it or not, run by a man named Boris. Due to this man's lack of control over
his residents and soldiers, a change of power was passed upon a child, a 12-year-old named Jeffrey
Johnson. With his permission, she decided to open a shop within the faction as a reminded of her old life,
selling guns, ammo and medicines. She became associated with some of the higher powers in the city,
befriending an alcoholic millionaire named Diane Williams, Diane's twin sister, Kassandra, and a Jet-addicted
tech-whizz named Erika Collins. All three of these women helped her gain a decent arsenal of weapons
for herself and her shop. Flirtation allowed her to form a close friendship with Diane. A local caravan company
caused her some grief in the way of taking her business, so after a failed attempt at taking out one of their
beneficiaries, she donned her past Raider-identity of Talon after faking her own death and burnt most
of said companies stock and resources to the ground with Diane's help. Shortly after, Jeffrey, certain
that this Raider was Jaq's killer, alongside a few of his allies, pushed "Talon" into a corner and were
about to execute her, were it not that she revealed her identity. All was forgiven after some intense
debating and reimbursement, and the caravan formed a treaty with the town. Jaq, having tasted her
past joy of the Raider lifestyle once again, decided that the life she was currently living wasn't as interesting
as it once was. She wasn't the only one who desired new sights, for Kassandra too shared an interest
in leaving the city of Lansing. So, for the third time in her life, she traveled East, this time with another,
until she came across a sprawling city. One once known in its pre-war glory as the "Big Apple."

Fallout: Wasteland Legends
