For some reason ever since i got my new computer (very fast and efficient computer, a Thermaltake, Powerspec gaming pc) I can't upload worlds from my created worlds list into my realms. It's not my account because I tried the same thing on my sisters Mac and it worked. However, I need it to work on my personal Windows pc. What happens is when I upload a world, it just stops (the loading bar) at a random number like 15.5%. Just to be sure i left it their for an hour and still no improvements. Any ideas on how to fix it? Anything would be appreciated!
Macs are faster than most computers when it comes to processing power so it could just be you're PC being a bit worse can you include some specs since I tried looking up thermaltake powerspec and it came up with some $250 tower which if you have that then no wonder it wont work
My computer is the mist high quality and fastest gaming pc on the market today. It can run the Vive and oculous rift at the same time. However, i think it has to do with my internet currently. But thanks anyways.
I figured out a fix to this if anyone would like me to make a tutorial video please reply to this comment.
Basically, your world is too big to upload, this does not mean this world cannot be uploaded, however, here's two terms ill be using to help understand;
1. Seed= the natural world generation
2. Region Data= is basically the region files that you find in the saves folder contain the blocks built, and mined in that region
Your world is too big because there is too much region data in it, to fix this you need to find the region file in your save file and in there will be a bunch of things named something along the lines of r.9.5. your numbers may be different. You will need to go into your save in single player and choose the areas that you want to keep their buildings and press F3. travel around the area and write down each line of coordinates in like five different spots (or more if this doesn't work) then enter the coordinates into this https://dinnerbone.com/minecraft/tools/coordinates/. This will tell you the filename of those areas. You'll need to find these region files and copy them in their own new folder. After you've got all of the region files from all your favourite places, make a copy of the world and then delete all of the regions files inside its new save folder. Then insert the region files you picked out earlier. Now you can try to upload this save.
Basically what you've done now is copy the playerdata of these areas into a fresh version of the world on the same seed. Which means all of your areas you saved will contain all your buildings and stuff, but every where else will get back all its trees,ores,etc. Hope this helps and again if its hard to follow please reply to me and i'll make a video even if just one person needs it.
I dont belive this to be true as i had a similar error when uploading an empty void flatworld and got rid of the stone. this world had nothing in it and i got the same problem.
The upload limit seems to be 5gig from what I can see. My upload is failing at around 2-3% I keep getting the “upload failed (-1) and can’t figure a way to fix it.
i did see a comment on reddit saying all datapack a need to be zipped, so I made sure that is done and that they’re working in single player.
