Alright so I have a situation on a realms server, hosted by an IRL friend and other IRL friends go on it. So today I was walking around and I turned around and saw one of the players on the server, (Not an op BTW) he looks at me, then disappears, I say "invisibility potions?" in chat and am met with a hasty "????" on his part, which is certainly suspicious. Now this player in particular has had a history of griefing on various servers, and I know that he has used hacks before. Additionally he has coding experience. I am wondering, is it possible that he has a hack, but somehow realms doesn't detect it? Is there any way to work around the modded client blocker?
Realms is incompatible with modded clients such as forge- that is what I mean.
A forge client can connect to any kind of unmodded server (including realms), regardless of that mods it has. It can also connect to other forge servers, provided that the client has the same mods, the client can have more if it wants. However, Forge clients cannot connect to a server that has mods that the client does not, and vanilla clients cannot connect to a Forge server in the first place, even if there aren't any mods loaded on the server.
Realms essentially uses a perfectly vanilla minecraft server like you could download from minecraft.net, meaning that there is no anticheat.

Realms does not detect hacks...

they probably used fly hack, but they turned up the speed super fast so it just moves like 1000 blocks in a sec
Stop being such a downer, Its good man.
Actually Forge is compatible with Realms, I use it for a minimap. Also there is a hacked client that is designed for Realms so there is also that.
