Recently I've been working on a modded Minecraft server for me and a couple of my friends, I finished adding mods recently however when I moved to test it the server immediately crashed. Looking at the logs I noticed all the fatal errors were MissingMods errors which I could usually fix myself except, the required mods were various Forge versions, all different. Ex.
net.minecraftforge.fml.common.MissingModsException: Mod scalinghealth (Scaling Health) requires [forge@[14.23.5.2779,)]
After looking online for a bit I couldn't figure out how to resolve these forge@_____ errors (which were all different versions). Any help would be appreciated
EDIT: As a side note, I am currently using the Forge recommended server client for 1.12.2

take note of what the error actually says - they're telling you the forge version you're using is too old. use the latest forge for 1.12.2.

Thanks, I realized this shortly after posting and switched to the newest version of forge rather than the recommended one. It did the trick!
