use the given IPv4 Address on your routers portforwarding screen.
put all ports on 25565 and put protocol on both
make sure the file (server.properties) also has the same IPv4 Address filled in
save it. start server.

not if you want it accessible online, if you wanna play with friends that dont live with you, it should be filled in with the ip of the pc your server is running on
Hi, guys

Use canyouseeme.org to test your portforwarding.
It doens't work
in your port forward you need to use the IP of the PC you use the server on.
cmd: ipconfig
Ethernet adapter Ethernet:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 1xx.xxx.xxx.xxx
use the given IPv4 Address on your routers portforwarding screen.
put all ports on 25565 and put protocol on both
make sure the file (server.properties) also has the same IPv4 Address filled in
save it. start server.
go to: https://www.whatismyip.com/
in minecraft use the public ip to join server
The IP setting in server.properties should be left blank.

No, you leave it blank regardless. Every single tutorial on server setup is telling you that.
