My friends recently wanted to play some minecraft together all on our own server and having created several servers before I told them I could create one for us. I create one the same as I always have for 1.14.3 and portforwarded it. Yet none of my friends can connect using my public ip adress. I am able to connect using my IPv4 address but that is it. I have allowed it through my firewall yet when i test it on this website https://www.ipfingerprints.com/portscan.php it tells me that it is limited (which means that something is blocking the port). I have no antiviruses on my computer so nothing else I could think of would be blocking the port if you know what would be blocking the port or why my friends cant join please let me know!!! Also if you need me to post screenshots of something I am willing to do that aswell. Thanks.
A couple questions/ideas. First off, can you provide a screenshot of your port forwarding settings on your router? Second, can a different computer on your same home network connect to your server using its local LAN IPv4 address?
Hey TNA hosting thanks for responding what do you mean my port forwarding settings on my router like on my physical router or on the website of it ( sorry new to this type of stuff). Also I tried logging on another computer with the IPv4 address if the person is on the same internet as me they can log on (obviously). Although, if they are not on the same internet they cannot get on.
So if another person on the same 'Internet' as you can log in, that means your server is most likely properly configured.
Can you provide a screenshot of the website where your configure your router's port forwarding settings? Just to make sure everything is configured properly there.
