I've got a new server that has lag no matter how many people are playing. The Java server for 1.14 just eats ram and I've not been able to find a solution to the issue.
The Server I run this on has and can run 6 ARK servers simultaneously without any lag issues, so I know the server isn't really the culprit here.
Server Stats:
Windows 10 Pro for Workstations 64bit
Dual(2) Xeon E7-4860 Processors @ 2.27Ghz
302Gb of usable Ram
2 Mushkin 1TB SSD in Raid 0 for the primary drive/OS
2 Mushkin 1TB SSD in Raid 0 for the game servers
Internet connection
300Mb download and 40 Mb upload.
64 bit Java installed
I've tried setting the RAM on the start up bat from 1Gb all the way to 32Gb since Ram isn't an issue for this server. I've had the Minecraft server running with no other servers running and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Still getting the "Can't Keep Up! IS the Server Overloaded? Running XXXXms or XXX ticks behind."
The Server Properties have the view distance set to 9. Which is less that recommended from what I've seen.
Everything else is default.
I could really use some guidance here from those that actually "run" their servers, not just rent them with an OP spot.
I have the same issue on a old computer i use as a server, it has been working great for me and my friends 0-10 players for all the previous minecraft versions. But after 1.14 it started rubberbanding badly (without using that much cpu and with ram headroom) I thought it might be my server pc being to weak for the new update but since you have the same issue with alot better equipment it must be something else?
Its a pain in the ass, let me know if u find any good solutions
