Internal (static) IP of the computer running the server: 192.168.0.179
External IP: Will be referred to as just "EXTERNAL" for the purpose of security
Port Forwarding:
Through my router interface, I have port forwarded ports 25565 and 19132. The latter, I'm not sure actually affects the server, but it helped someone in a previous forum.
On multiple open port checking tools online, I have received an error saying that the port was closed. On the website, canyouseeme.org, I got the message:
Error: I could not see your service on EXTERNAL IP on port (25565)
Reason: Connection timed out
The server was running at the time that I checked this.
The Problem:
I can connect to the server on the same computer that is running it through localhost. The server runs fine with this method. On other computers within the same network, I'll try to connect either with 192.168.0.179 or with 192.168.0.179:25565. Both return the error: connection timed out. Connecting on a computer outside the network through EXTERNAL:25565 also returns the same error.
Firewalls:
There is no 3rd party firewall running on the computer hosting the server. On the router settings, I can't see a section to change the firewall settings. The router is, once again, the Luxul ABR 4400. Through the modem interface (I connect to this through 10.0.0.1), I can see that the modem is functioning as a bridge, and shouldn't, to my knowledge, affect the router settings. I don't even think the modem is doing anything at the moment, as there are devices connected to the WiFi, but none show up under the modem's connected devices.
I am sure that the modem is set to bridge mode. If the firewall settings affect me, they are on "low" in the modem. Changing those settings requires disabling bridge mode
i would think i maybe the firewall thats blocking java
I disabled the firewall completely, but I'm still getting a "connection timed out" error on canyouseeme. Local connection via the Minecraft launcher also returns the same connection timed out error as before. What else should I do?
The reason I posted discord is so we could run through a bunch of stuff first, and then post the solution last. That way we aren't waiting 3-4 hours for a simple "Try this and tell me the result." I'm sure you'll find help on the forums though.

6/28/2019 -- I AM STILL ACTIVE ON DISCORD, Feel free to add me. Many have since this post seems to be high up on google search results.
Is it specific to only discord? The forums are a fine medium for help, I would think

I forgot to quote you, but yes, the modem is on bridge mode. If the firewall is still affecting the network, it is set on "low". Thank you!
Ok, would that be under:
http
ICMP
Multicast
peer to peer applications
or IDENT
I'm thinking peer to peer applications, but I'm not sure.
Should I just disable the firewall completely?

SOLVED! CyberSecGuy helped me reset my iptables rules and change the ufw firewall.
