I am currently hosting a vanilla Minecraft server, which is running fine, apart from the fact that it is thousands of milliseconds behind, AKA lag! I run it with 3G of RAM, however, I always notice that my CPU usage is below 25% and my GPU usage is also below 20%. Is there anyway to make my hardware work harder for better results?
Actual gameplay runs flawless. It's the server that could be a bit faster. Anyone know how to speed it up?
My specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k
GPU: GTX 780 6GB
RAM: 16GB 2400MHz
HDD: 10000 RPM WD Black
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Server info:
player slots: 6
server ram: 3G
server view distance: 16
I know my specs are a bit old, but it should be (to the best of my knowledge) more than enough to run and host a minecraft server without constant lag issues. If anyone would like to request more info, just ask.

is it lag for you locally, or lag for other players who have connected to your server?
