Hi! I've been struggling to port forward a minecraft server for some time now. I have a belkin router and have access to my virtual servers page. I type in 25565 for the in and out bound port and check type as tcp for one and udp for another. I then put in the correct private ip form cmd(ipconfig) and then save the settings. I enabled the servers but the portfoward.com checker still says there is no connection.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I have a dynamic ip address right now but the port forward should still work until the ip changes again right?
Putting down both my router and pc firewall doesn't help.
Also, when I restart my router after saving the settings, the virtual server I set up disappears.
Already done. Only local computers and I can connect. I gave friends both private and public ips to connect. Server checkers such as portfoward.com utilities and minecraft server status checker also report no connection.

It should look something like this
(The 4 blank boxes is your IPv4)
Example
Name: Minecraft
TCP/UCP
25566
25566
192.168.1.14
Thats what I have so far. I have the same ipv4 in the private ip section as found in ipconfig under wireless lan adapter wi-fi.
Click apply changes. Then start the server and give it to somebody and see if they join
