I run a simple Linux server for my son and his friends. The server ran fine for a few weeks, but all of a sudden, the world does not load correctly and then the connection times out. It happens both from a local ( in house ) or outside connection. I do not see any errors on the server. The other day I noticed a java memory error, but have not seen it since. Running JDK6.
So, I'd help, but I can't even figure out how to get a LAN world going. But if you ever need help with something else, just post it on the forums and I'll check it out, then help as much as I can.

What did you change on the server? Upgrade the server/computer it was on? Make any network changes?
When you attempt to make a connection (local and/or external), so you see the connection attempt in the server's console?
Try to with your antivirus program find any virus in your computer and kill it. After that, download CCleaner and clean other suspicious files.
