Been having this problem for a few months now, hoping someone knows what's wrong. Basically, I have three people connected to my minecraft server (myself included) and after about every 10-13 minutes or even less, we all get disconnected with a "Timed out" error (including myself). This happens with vanilla mine craft, Bukkit (the error is different name but we still disconnected) and with mod packs on technic. We are all connected through the computer/minecraft server's WAN IP. However, if I connect through its LAN IP I do not get disconnected yet my friends (who are connected via WAN still) get disconnected.
That is pretty much the issue. I'd like to give you some background information of my setup.First is that it's not my Internet because I was experiencing this issue with Comcast, I have switched to Verizon FIOS now (business internet, 25 upload) and the problem still persists. Second, I have tried using a different ethernet cable but the problem still persists. Third, the mine craft server runs on a CentOS (linux) system with open source java, I have tried Oracle's closed source java and problem still persists. That's about it, if you need more info just ask, I really want to solve this dumb problem. I think it's down to something with a bug being in Java, the server performs fine on games such as CSS, or Cubeworld, no disconnecting at all.
Thank you for replying and helping me out. I have checked my port forwarding and the port 25565 is open on both my system's firewall and my sonicwall router's firewall. I have removed java completely (deleted every single file on the system that java installed) and I have installed it again, I did this for the latest version and also version 1.7.0_55 and even 1.6. I still get the same problem with every version. For the log, there isnt anything that appears in the minecraft log for the client (except for the message this time instead of "Timed Out" it said "The connection was forcibly closed by the host", but for the server I have this
I am going to try running a MC server on another computer and connecting to that one to see if the problem persists.
EDIT: I get the same issues on another computer. I have another log of what happens on a Minecraft 1.6.4 attack of the b team modpack. However, if I run Debian 6 (virtual machine) and run the same minecraft server (literally copied everything) I do not get this weird error, so the issue definitely has to be something with a bug in recent java versions (Debian uses java 6)

Thanks a bunch.
