This question has probably been repeated many times, but what am I doing wrong? I've looked through tons of threads, been to portforward.com a ridiculous amount of times, but I still can't seem to get it to work. The problem most likely is with the LAN ip address, but I can't figure out why.
Edit - I used the LAN ip that came up as my Ipv4 address when I used "ipconfig" in cmd.
You can share your LAN IP, it's not broadcast on the internet as it's "hidden" through NAT on your router. Not much can be done with it.
Did you set the remote ports or did it do that automatically? Did you reboot the router after setting it up? Did you make sure windows firewall isn't blocking port accesas well?

I didn't set the remote ports, because most of the guides online recommended not to. I assumed I wouldn't have to reboot the router because after I added both those settings, it said something like "applying changes", and nothing was mentioned about having to reboot the router. I'll give that a shot though.
Have you checked windows firewall, or any other firewall software (Norton) you might have for the proper exclusions?
I looked through the Windows Firewall advanced settings, and there was already an inbound rule for "Minecraft Server" (I ran one before without a problem) but there was no outbound rule, so I made one just in case. However, I checked on yougetsignal.com, and the ports are still closed.
Both of the rules are set to private (because I wasn't sure which one to choose out of private/public/domain).

Edit: I tried restarting the router, no good.
