My friend with whom we've been working on one map together has been able to log into my server which is private for just the two of us for the past 2 weeks with no issue.
This morning we go to play, and do it like normal
They log in, enter the externalurl.txt and go to log in, it says failed to connect because the server is down.
im having exactly the same problems. PFPortChecker says that port i am running the server on is not open, but there is not information about how to open the port!
Restart the server.
Change the port
Have the Host try an Internal Url
Have the host re-check his firewall
Have the host check if his internal IP has changed
But I've done all of that, I can connect just fine with the URL, internal or otherwise.
Would being on the same IP be a problem at all?
It hasn't been since we started a few weeks ago.
And now they just can't connect to it, one way or another.
Whenever they enter the external URL into their browser it says we're running on the same IP address, I know that we are, but is never been a problem before that until now.

I can connect just fine though.
Anything that could cause this?
