I hope I'm posting in the right place, but I have recently set up a Minecraft server with an SRV record.
I created an A record that pointed to my numerical IP address named minecraft.galaxinatech.com:25563 . Then, I created an SRV record for play.galaxinatech.com that pointed to the minecraft.galaxinatech.com:25563 IP.
These are my SRV settings:
Here's my problem. I can connect to the server using play.galaxinatech.com AND I can add it in the server list. It shows normally, with the MOTD and shows online. However, when I gave it to some of the beta testers to test, they said the server showed offline, though they could still join! Does anybody know how I can make it correctly ping the server?
Your SRV record is set up correctly, so it's down to the end users that they aren't able to see the the server information in their server browser. I'd just like to ask how many people you're getting to beta test your records, because it shows up perfectly fine for me.
I have tested with 7 people, and 4 of them could not see it correctly. Although, since I recently got a new website for this server, the new IP seems to be working with most people. Thank you for the help though!
