I'm trying to move a building into a server from single player with mcedit. Is it possible to do so or not? Im not the owner, just an admin. Does the owner have to do it or can admins do it as well?
The server does have worldedit but i cant seem to get it into the server. Im still new to mcedit but, is there a way to copy the structure with mcedit and put it onto the wand and then pasting it? im not sure how mcedit works yet. Im still getting used to it.
You can put up your single player world on the server and select what you want to copy with world edit. Then do "//save mything". Stop the server and put up your other map. Go to where you want it and type "//load mything". I hope this helped.
I don't have wand for single player so I dont think its possible.
Go to your start bar and type "%appdata%"
Hit enter.
Now, look for .minecraft and click it
Go into your "saves" folder
Look for the world it's in
Copy and paste that world into your server folder and temporarily use that world instead. Then do what I wrote above.
jakeob22 is right you cant do that unless you have accuess to the server files. you have to be able to upload ither the world or a schematic into the server to allow the server to generate the items you want. best way is the schematics approach, just make the schematic and send it to the server owner, the owner places it in the right folder and you can place it in the server useing the wand. but you as just an admin can not do it
I'm looking to move about 10 .schematic files from CSP to SMP, with WorldEdit in SMP, but only MCEdit in CSP. I've already made the files, but which folder should the server owner place the .schematic files into, and what do I do then?
I'm just a bit unclear.
I have no idea how to use worldedit, though. Sorry.
//schematic save mcedit schematicname
and upload them to the server at
\plugins\WorldEdit\schematics\
then load them with the same command
//schematic load mcedit schematicname
//schematic save NAME
and it should save in the worldedit folder in your minecraft directory and have a .schematic filetype
you can then upload it to your server into the
\plugins\WorldEdit\schematics\
folder and from there you can
//schematic load NAME
it into the server
Go to your start bar and type "%appdata%"
Hit enter.
Now, look for .minecraft and click it
Go into your "saves" folder
Look for the world it's in
Copy and paste that world into your server folder and temporarily use that world instead. Then do what I wrote above.
I'm just a bit unclear.
Thanks,
Drahmee
Is there a simple way to change where the file saves?
