Here you will find the largest biomes ever found in Minecraft 1.7.
They are so large you will think 'Hey this must be large biomes mode!?' but is is NOT.
Your favorite biome with massive size surrounded by normal sized world. This is awesome!
How do i find the seeds?
I wrote a java application that analyzes seeds or to be more precise the output of the minecraft world generator for a given seed.
It can generate and analyze up to 4000 worlds per second depending on the search radius. That would be 1 million worlds in 4 minutes and 10 seconds.
The application is able to check if a given biome is present or even measure its size.
Therefore i'm able to find special and rare seeds. For example biome combinations with a minimum distance from spawn. Or like in this thread the largest biomes possible. I will at least analyze 1 million seeds in a category before i post results.
Color Chart
I use Amidst to visualize the seeds.
Open the following spoiler to see the biome color chart:
Rare Biomes:
Ice Plains Spikes 85490543201 - 307.104 m²
Mesa Bryce 81781890028 - 306.096 m²
Flower Forest 44674355441 - 219.536 m²
Savanna Plateau M 69160882195 - 211.648 m²
Mega Spruce Taiga (Hills) 95354322515 - 435.600 m²
Would it also be possible for this program to analyse structures as well, like largest village, or largest strongholds? That would take this awesomeness to a whole new level
Can you share the application you created to help you do this?
No. Maybe in the future since it has no GUI right now and i'm not planning to write one.
You also have to recode it to analyze different criterias or settings.
You are awesome. So what you did (just making sure) is use java coding to find biome size then use java to find insanely huge seeds? I would like to see this in large biomes. These seeds are huge. I guess my computer isn't tough as it lags a lot in the mushroom biome.

My code uses Minecrafts biome generator and analyzes its output. Therefore i'm able to check if a biome is present or even count how many blocks belong to it.

That is awesome, I need to get familiar with java to be able to do this myself. The biggest desert in large biomes. That would annoy someone.
hey, i was wondering if you could do extreme hills biome and its variants, because i have seen so many and they never get very big. Also, longest beach/ shoreline, although that may be longer. No reason to, but if you could that would be nice.

i have no idea what im doing.
I'm up to date on Homestuck if that matters :I
Love that jungle... and has Jungle Mountains bang in the middle close to sapwn.
Also the number of jungle temples, and villages on this map appears to be much greater
than expected.
Your color chart is also very useful very nice addition.
PS: you missed jungle mountains in your color chart.
Also that there are two colors for Mega Spruce Tiaga (one being Hills)
You may like to indicate on that chart what you would class as 'rare biomes' (add a star for example)
EG: Ice Spikes, Mushroom, Jungle Mountains, Mesa Bryce, Savannah Plateau Mountains
either of the two Mega Spruce Taiga's
Hmm it is strange that the colors for meta-taiga in your biome map appears different to that of AMIDST. Less Grey more Brown, Do you recolor them to make it stand out more?
In any case it makes the color chart wrong for 'standard' AMIDST maps.
Do you love jungles, melons and cocoa? Living like Tarzan?
Then try this seed and spawn in the largest jungle ever with over 5 million square meters of thick jungle!
Seed: 52968166106 Jungle Size: 5.126.368 m²
The Amidst map of this seed in LargeBiomes mode is UNBELIEVABLE!!!
More jungle temples than I care to count!

I modified Amidst's color scheme. I dislike the way it was displaying MegaTaigas because you can get very confused since ExtremeHills also use grey color.
Brown stands out and is not used by any other biome so far so you can easily tell it apart from other biomes.
Besides the podsol ground in MegaTaigas is brown so using this color makes sense.

I have also noticed significantly more structures in biomes with the "large biomes" setting. More villages in desert/plains and more temples in desert/jungle. If anyone wants tons of villages and temples, large biomes seems to be a simple way to do it.

Simply amazing and huuuuuuuuuuuuuge!
More than 300.000m² at spawn!
If you like this biome you HAVE TO try it!
After analyzing 30 million seeds i've found a larger Savanna Plateau M!
Now over 211.000 m² !
No. Maybe in the future since it has no GUI right now and i'm not planning to write one.
