WIll still post updates regarding future content but will mainly link back to my website!
Version 1.18+ Available!!
Works with Optifine Preview Versions!
About/Intro
Ever felt that MineCraft was missing something? new armor? more food variants? Or more animals? Well this pack adds none of those... but what it does add is all four seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
All plants, trees, crops... everything is affected by the bright blossoming colors of spring, turns to a lushes green in the summer then slowly wilts away in the fall, and freezes in the winter.
I decided to make this pack after trying to find one myself but there was next to none... and the ones that did exist, didn't really bring the full capabilities that the seasons have to offer. I really wanted to see everything as far as sugar cane and potatoes change through the seasons, so I made my own texture pack.
At first being completely new to making resource/texture packs I started off using the default textures, but realizing that altering them and re-releasing them was against the rules. I dedicated some time to completely start from scratch. My main goal was to try and keep the style and color as similar to the default textures so that it blends nicely with the rest of the game.
Making this pack was a lot of fun for my first time(twss) and I'm pretty satisfied with what I've accomplished so far and also note that I will be adding a few more features to this pack which you can see in the 'future planned' spoiler of whats to come. I hope that many of you will enjoy this pack as much as I did making it. In addition I've made this pack to maybe help bring adventure maps to life, as well as time lapse videos of large builds.
News
1.18 Update is out! - AKA The Caves and Cliffs
You can find the 1.18+ update to my core texture pack via my new website!
I'd like to thank you all for visiting this page and downloading my pack, seeing how many of you have atleast clicked the download to see what its about and whether you've continued to use my pack means a lot. I'd never have expected hundreds of fellow Minecraftians to check out my work. Thank you, I will always be updating my pack as long as MineCraft itself keeps updating, so look forward to more n more content
Better Trees 1.13-1.16.5
Much like the better foliage mod, adds much more beauty to the trees, but this requires no confusing mod download/installation. This is a side pack that adds only the better trees along with my core pack. Simply download both and place them in your resource pack folder. Load each one, having the better trees addon above the core pack.
Mes'easons Wild Nature Addon!
This addon/support pack adds seasons the the wonderful Wild Nature mod made by matez.
With great pleasure I am proud to introduce this texture pack that also includes the core vanilla seasons all in one! Twice the beauty. Wild Nature will be available very soon! Follow the links back to my website to find downloads!
What you can do: - Use it in videos and/or streams, provide a link to this thread - Use for releasing adventure maps or servers and even sharing with others, provide a link back to this thread - Alter/add textures for your own personal in-game experience. (If you want to suggest a change or submit a change to me so I can release it with future updates than that is fine)
What you can NOT do: - Re-release this texture pack and/or claiming it as your own - Releasing it with any ads or sites that would make you money
Credit and Thanks to:
nihiltres for allowing me to use his 3d lily pad code to be included with my own textures zoombaz and OfficialMihro for small fixes and answers when I posted in the help forums
Note: If you still haven't downloaded and installed optifine, please do as some of the custom colors require it. Also recommend for better experience, use a shaders pack, which having optifine shouldnt be too much to handle.
Additional notearino-thing-you-should-know:Play with Fancy graphic settings to avoid ugly white background textures in leaves.
All downloads and updates can now be found on my new website!

Currently updating textures and texture names to 1.13...(they renamed alot of .png file names like "reeds.png" to "sugar_cane.png". Makes sense, but had to go through all the textures and re adjust their names....) Of course this 1.13 pack won't be available until optifine is update so that the custom colors will work. So feel free to enjoy the beauty of version 2.1 of the pack
Also adding seasonal effects to all the under water stuff cause it would be a interestingly beautiful aspect and ideas to create/build under water... here are pictures of the seagrass finished...(sort of... may tweak individual frames to make the texture flow smoother) Not the best of pictures, but just a rough look at the color scheme in the underwater view. Note only seagrass has been changed....

Very excited to announce that with the news of 1.14 bringing Berry Bushes, Bamboo, hope another tree species for the Taiga biome like pine or fir, seasonal changes will come to these new plants, as well as for the future biomes that will include Palm Trees, Baobab Trees and maybe new flowers? or other types of grass or whatever plants. Can't wait until I can start working on new textures
Awesome! But is there any way to change the duration of every season,to make them even longer? For example 15-20 days, like in seasons mods?
Maybe it could be manually done for personal use only(i have a bit of resoursepack-making knowledge)
Also is it working with Biomes O'Plenty mod?
If you would like to change the times even longer, you would have to open each .png.mcmeta file and change the frametime to lets say 60000 which would roughly be 17 minecraft days. That goes for every .mcmeta file.... theres quite a few, I can do it myself and upload a 20 Minecraft Day version for you and even others to enjoy the realllllllllly long seasons, thats not an issue
As goes for the Biomes O'Plenty mod, I have been slowly but surely making a supported version, that will also include seasonal changes too all of the plants included in the mod, this will take some time. The pack should work alongside it right now but keep in mind that since the color maps are completely blank white, the Biomes O'Plenty plants and trees wont have color/turn grey. One of my replies above with the "sneak peak" shows some progress towards the BoP plants. Can't promise a release date, but it'll come.
Also thanks for the interest in my pack, very much appreciated
Just yesterday i took another resoursepack with changing seasons for older minecraft version, with day-long seasons, and discovered that thing with frametime and ticks(wiki says that minecraft day lasts 24000 ticks,so i thought about 45000 to get 15 days (24000*15/8(you have 8 frames of every color(season),as i understand)=45000).60000 would be better;)I don't know,if anyone else also need such long seasons, soo i can't ask for additional work^_^
Anyway, your winter textures are gorgeous...They are far better than any seasons mod's winter brown (or green)leaves...Winter should be white and shiny)Spruces are soo pretty,i love blue spruce trees)Really waiting for BOP compatibility)Good luck for you))

First thing I noticed that'll help, regarding the white texturing within the leaf blocks, is because you are playing with 'fast' graphics settings, if you switch that to 'fancy' should change the white to transparent. (That is due to the color map being painted entirely white, it will fill in the transparent spaces within the leaf textures with the color of the color map)
Regarding the better trees addon not working, try moving the BTA pack up one, so it is above the core 1.14 pack: refer to both pictures provided!

Thank you very much fluffybananagirl, glad you're enjoying it! More to come as long as MineCraft itself keeps getting updated with new plants and nature!
With the Very Long version, is there anyway to keep track of where the pack was at time wise or does it load in as spring first each time? Or, maybe my sessions just aren't long enough to get to that point yet.

Unfortunately when you close the minecraft game itself it will reset it back to spring as it unloads the texturepack and the game instance. As far as I know, there isn't a way to keep track, if it was a mod: maybe. If you left Minecraft running as you go out to work, school, shopping or went to sleep and hopped back on it should continue off where the season last was.
Temporary/minor solution: don't close MineCraft!
Apologies that theres no real way to keep track of the seasons! But hope you're enjoying the seasons pack none the less and thankyou!

Ah, too bad. All the seasons look wonderful. Might have to use the medium length so I can see them more often.
