Sn0wZ0ne is simply a High-Resolution texture pack intended to transform the game of Minecraft into an immersive and lovely painting. It is somewhat realistic, but takes a lot of artistic liberty as it acts like a mosaic of tiny pieces of art that merge in-game into a single interactive piece of art. All of the textures are the original work of Sn0w Shepherd, with one texture component provided graciously by Hœnir the Silent. The beautiful tribal butterfly that adorns every chest/treasure box belongs to him and its inclusion in the pack is very much appreciated. I had a brilliant time painting all of these and hope that you will have just as much fun exploring and discovering them in your own gaming experiences.

INSTALL
Place the zip file into your resourcepacks folder under %appdata%/roaming/.minecraft and then start Minecraft from your choice of launcher. When the game has finished loading, click the Options button and then click Resource Packs. Select the Sn0wZ0ne Snow Leopard inspired icon and wait for the pack to load. This could take a minute or longer. Once it is loaded, you should see immediate changes. Click the DONE button and enjoy!
NOTE
Other versions and variations and TONS of MOD support coming very soon! I am doing ALL of this by myself, so this will take time. I tend to be slow at getting things done at times due to an illness that threatens to kill me. I will also try to get a decent assortment of screen shots and videos put together that feature the textures. I apologize sincerely for the poor introduction I have made to the pack, and am working hard to remedy all of my truly egregious mistakes.
Sn0wZ0ne, or SnowZone is the product of the last 2 years of my dedication to contributing to Minecraft. I love Minecraft! I stream it a lot on my Twitch channel, and I spend a lot of time building and adventuring with the big name streamers out there for the game. I Take a lot of input from them concerning what they want in a texture pack, combine that with what I have as my vision for textures and the way they tell the story of Minecraft, and hopefully put them together into a beautiful and sometimes frightening resource pack that will take your Minecraft experience to a whole new level of immersion.
The images below signify the resolution. Click an image to download the resolution that is right for your computer.
Download (now with more curse):
Full resourcepack as well as all music are at the above location, just click on view all files to choose the version you want.
MOST errors you might get from trying to use this texture pack will be from running out of VRAM/DRAM, memory in general, or your GPU just went, "SAY WHAT?!?!?!" If it fails to load, reverts to vanilla, crashes often, has memory or load errors, then you might consider downgrading to a smaller resolution.
INSTALLATION
I assume most are using Minecraft Versions 1.6.x and above.
The folders in the resource pack default to sounds and textures for the sake of MC 1.6.x.
If you are using MC 1.7.x or newer, you will need to change the name of the folder in the ZIP file called "sounds" to "sound", or vice versa to get the acclaimed Snowsong Sound Package to load properly. If you don't care about sound, music, etc, you can delete the sound(s) folder from the zip file and run the textures only, but I recommend as an audiophile using SnowSong. There's no other fully professionally engineered Sound pack out there that gives 100% conversion of every sound and song in the entire game. 1.8.x Sounds for the bunnies and Guardians are coming soon, as well as a much-expanded sound variegation for the 1.8.x enhanced JSON system.
Just drop the zip file into the /resourcepacks/ folder and load from the in-game menu to install and use. For 1.5.x and 1.6.x you can also drop the assets folder on top of the assets folder in the original minecraft.jar and select to overwrite.
All of the textures for all of the versions are being included to avoid having 800 different files to download. If this is problematic for you, please feel free to edit the archive files you download accordingly. For example, deleting the horses folder under /textures/entity for versions 1.6.x and earlier to save load-time.
WHY USE SN0WZ0NE?!
Well, as everyone has stated, let the screen shots and YouTube videos convince you, not my words.

Here is a video that does a fair job of showing off the textures at a glance. This is taken from a live stream, so, silliness is to be expected.

I hope you enjoy transforming the look and feel of Minecraft and enjoy from my art and music a deeper sense of immersion into your worlds. As always, special thanks are due to Notch for his brilliant game.
NOTE: Sn0wSong version 1.45 fixes certain volume issues with Mojang's default settings being incompatible with my original normalization levels. It replaces some of the sound effects for improved consistency. Also, two songs assigned to the 1.7x MENU music have been remastered to remove errant gain distortion.
What is Sn0wSong?
This is the original resource pack of Sound Effects and Music with engineering, composition, performance and such entirely designed and completed by Sn0w Shepherd from Twitch.tv. The Sn0wSong sound pack has its own topic within these forums as well.
I like what I see. I'm gonna have to get some buildings up and take screenshots! For now, I've made a spoiler and IMG tags. If you quote my post, there should be a "Toggle editing mode" option that will allow you to copy the text that you can paste in place of your linked pics if you want to. That way people can see pics directly instead of clicking, going back and repeating
10's of people have been waiting anxiously for this texture pack to release for the past seven months. I am sorry it is taking a while to download it, but, I am not charging anything at all for any of this, not getting paid for clicks, not monetizing anything, not stealing anything, and not lying about the talent, time and effort and quality it took/features to make this a reality.
Could someone actually post something constructive please concerning the pack?! I mean, all I have seen since making a Public Release attempt herein is negativity and complaining. With Sn0wSong, I got nothing but accolades and happy people. It seems as though the abundance of texture packs out there has made people consider themselves to be "professionals" in their judgment of them, whereas the much smaller number of sound packs out there seems to have afforded me some positive response instead.
This is extremely discouraging to me and makes me want to reconsider adding MOD support. I will wait, however, to see how it is received over the next few weeks rather than making any rash decisions. Please try to enjoy the pack, everyone.
Be patient with this crowd. They are a bit jaded and it has nothing to do with you. Just remember they are not the fans that download your work.
I spent some time with your textures. You are bringing a new and fresh vision to MC. The netherack texture is amazing it feels like I need to put on 3D glasses to see it properly I am sure I am not the only person that absolutely loves your sun.
Even if they ruffle your feathers, the ideas the old hands post here are worth digging through for their pearls of wisdom. My packs have improved amazingly from their suggestions.
I do agree with Taiine that you might want to look for a faster place to host your downloads. I don't think they are giving you good service. It is very slow.
Please keep going!

Well, I am very poor and cannot afford much. I pay $100 a year for that simple file host and web server. Is Dropbox safe to use as a file distributor here? I have all 5 files there.
I will indeed be making lower resolutions, but again it's just me here doing all of this. This pack replaces every texture in the game all the way to version 1.7.9 except for Mobs and Armors. I am painting those now.
I will release a patch soon, though, to add those and fix whatever problems arise. There are minor alignment issues in the GUI and for some reason, a weird extra row of hunger icons that superimposes the actual hunger reduction icons. My followers are anxious to see what I do with the Mobs and Armors, hehehehe
Thank you for your kind words and advice, kyctarniq.
Everyone be sure to download Sn0wSong stand-alone sound pack if you don't like the textures or don't want the total conversion. The music and sounds are well known now and are so good!
Over 100k downloads and counting! Get all the additional Song Packs from that forum page, too! I composed 60 original songs just for Minecraft for Sn0wSong.
I use CurseForge to host my files. I set my resource packs up as projects in CF and then use the CF download link here in my MinecraftForums post. There is even a cool widget for it but I don't use.it.
There are many other free file hosting services like Mediafire and others. I just don't like the pop-ups.
BTW I love you music. Thank you for all you hard work.

Wow, you made a texture pack too? That's awesome! I already use your sound and music pack in combination with my own resource pack, Megacraft Classic, in every episode of my LP series. I'll have to give this one a try too. If it's 100% complete, it ought to make for a beautifully atmospheric experience.
Check out my YouTube series to see your pack in action and watch me get ground into hamburger by iron golems.

I was the first to provide you positive feedbacks and constructive criticism, but you didn't really take them as such... So...
Suggestion: Mediafire or Curse, both are great, free and pretty fast.
No no...I did take them as such. I cannot delete the Discussion topic, though I wish I could, but still, yes, and thank you again, and sorry again. Wowies! Moving forward I hope now with much sincere appreciations. ::HUGS::

Most excellent! I think you will really like my textures. Thank you for using Sn0wSong!
Hey, I'd like to try reviewing and showcasing your resource pack, but I've noticed it's not functional yet. The only meter that decreases properly is the air meter; the rest always stay full no matter how much damage, armor, or hunger you have. Naturally, the game can be really hard to play when you can't monitor your status at all.
I'd suggest working on the potions too. They all look the same; there's not enough color to distinguish potion effects at a glance and there's literally no difference between drinkable and splash potions.

I am finishing up on a patch that will correct some alignment issues with the GUI and the ICON purge lines for hunger and health. I am also finally well enough to begin painting again, so, I am starting off with the Creeper Mob. I will release the Creeper with the patch to fix the GUI issues, and to improve the cactus, stained glass, vanilla normal glass and more. Thank you all so much for being patient with me. I hope you are enjoying the textures!

Okay, minus the Creeper...I put all the edits and fixes into the original release files. Re-Download the file you chose to get the fixed copy. I will release the MOBS all together and in a different manner...more as a drag-n-drop patch.
Sorry about the mix-ups.
There are also Dropbox locations for the files now:
Nice work. I might recommend blackening the empty spaces of the armor meter though, as it's still a tad difficult to read.
I understand the difference between drinking potions and splash potions now too; it's that jewel on the bottleneck. The colors of the potions themselves still aren't really showing up though, and I think it's a simple transparency issue. Make the glass of potion_bottle_drinkable.png and potion_bottle_splash.png more transparent and the glass of potion_overlay.png more opaque if you need to because, unfortunately, potion_overlay.png is misnamed; it's more of an underlay, showing up beneath the standard potion item texture whenever a potion bottle is full.
EDIT: I am now remembering that a lot of block and item textures just plain don't recognize transparency. The empty bottle file is just fine, but for the drinkable and splash potion bottles, you may have to just plain delete the bottle part so the game will essentially make the graphic by stitching the potion image and the overlay image together.

I hope by hand painted you mean hand painted, as in you drew out each texture, planed, designed, colored, etc. and not just take from google and edit.
