ok so I was following a tutorial video on you on how to make a texturepack and it was working just fine, but then i tried using another program to edit the files and now I changed all the png files to json, I can't figure out how to change it back.
Well sorta, but when I try to open it again I get errors, I would change it to png and try to open it in pictures but it wouldn't work, then I tried paint and 3d paint and again didnt work.

If it's not just a matter of changing the file extension then whatever you did may have corrupted all of those files. I hope you either weren't very far along, or else had a backup of your project. Since I don't know how you could have possibly done this, and so don't know if there's a way to reverse it, I'd suggest either starting over or loading any backup you have from before the event.
Also... don't use MS Paint. There are better freeware alternatives like GIMP or Paint.net that you can use. MS Paint isn't suitable for making resource packs. Paint 3D is... but only marginally. You're still better off using something more fully featured.

Can't you just rename it back to .png?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
