I'm new to this kind of thing, so I have been modifying a 1.12 version of Itembound to create the textures. I already removed everything but the minimum to have everything be my own textures and names. I also did a test and was able to get the custom named items and textures to work. The problem is that I need the names to be colored, and no matter what I do I cannot find a solution. Does anyone know how to help with this? Example file below:
# Match item display name with special formatting:
# NOTE: For best compatibility, use the escape sequence '§' instead of §:
# nbt.display.Name=§4§oMy Sword

type=item
matchItems=bow
model=optifine/cit/itembound/source models/bow2x
texture=flaming_flail
texture.bow_pulling_0=flaming_flail
texture.bow_pulling_1=flaming_flail
texture.bow_pulling_2=flaming_flail
nbt.display.Name=ipattern:§cflaming flail
this does not work, but if I remove the color code of §c it does
Are you wanting this file to color the names, or are you coloring them somewhere else?
BTW: (from https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/blob/master/OptiFineDoc/doc/cit_single.properties)

I was wanting to change the color of the name the file is detecting for. I used the § in place of the § and it worked, thanks!
