There's a book by M. Davies called "Exploded builds: Medieval fortress", and it's advertised using this picture:
Is there a resourcepack like that? Or, if there isn't, is there here anyone who knows how to and would be willing to? I absolutely love the idea of sketched Minecraft!
A shader would better replicate this aesthetic than a resource pack. It's really too bad that everyone is just trying to make lights look more realistic instead of making more fun things like the SSS, which had something like this.
Do you think I should delete this thread and post in shaders, then?
"Super Secret Settings" - it's a post-processing feature that used to be part of vanilla Minecraft. You can still see some of its effects when you spectate mobs, but the ability to use it in normal gameplay got ripped out. A personal sore spot for me since I think I'm one of like two or three people to ever make a resource pack for that feature only to have it completely removed not long after I did so.
I'm not sure if the image you posted could be done purely with a shader or not, but I'm leaning towards "yes". Certainly more likely than making it as a Resource Pack since the outlines would be obnoxious to pull off on every block even with Optifine. Regardless, I agree with Cuttlefish in that it'd be nice to see some more fun and creative shaders rather than just seeing how far one can push realistic features. Not everyone wants MC to look like a AAA first-person shooter. So while this particular idea isn't my personal cup of tea, I'd definitely like seeing it over another "realistic" shader.
You can ask to have this thread moved if you want. Report your own opening post, select "Move/Delete My Post" from the drop down menu, and politely explain where you'd like it moved to. There's no penalty for asking a moderator to do something with your post, so don't be paranoid about using the Report button if you need to. It's just a way of bringing stuff to our attention. Deleting a thread is the same procedure.
Best wishes on finding someone to make this, whether in Resource Pack or shader formats!

Yeah, to be honest I'm not quite sure why SSS wasn't the first shader to be made after its removal. Would seem like a must-have for me.

Sorry, what's SSS?

Thanks for the explanation!
I can't find a dedicated shader subforum, though, so I'll let this post be where it is.
