I'm having trouble with the /tp command on the command blocks I don't know if i'm putting the coordinates wrong is the command,"/tp @p x,y,z"
P.S.
This is for a adventure map i'm making so a reply would be much appreciated.
He is right, the "/" at the beginning is unnecessary. Additional, those comas separating the coordinates should be spaces, and also be sure the coordinates do not contain any decimals. The final format to use would be "tp @p x y z".

Just as a quick tidbit: you cannot use decimals if adding parameters to the selector (@p, @a, etc.), but you can use them for the target destination, whether it's for spawnpoint or tp. As a fun fact: setting the tp or spawnpoint to, say, 1 64 1, would teleport/spawn you to 1.5 64 1.5. If you use 1.0 64 1.0 instead, it will put you at the corner of the block as defined. Which I assume is to avoid the hassle; normally you'd want players to teleport to the middle of the block rather than the corner, but sometimes it may be needed .
As per topic, GJohns is correct: remove the commas and you'll be good to go.

I didn't know that you could use decimals for the target destination. Thanks for the good information.
Yes thank you for all your answers but if you look closely towards the end when you press F3 you'll see this: (your coordinates for X Y Z) I put that in the command block and it tp me to where I wanted to and now my problem is fixed!
