I don't know much about redstone, only the basics.
I find it hard to find guides and tutorials for more advance ways of using and working with redstone.
So far the things I have built:
Minecart Station, with fully automatic cart storage, all tracks and wire hidden.
Calculator, Can add and subtract nummbers up to 4 digits, still working on the decoder.
I'm half way done on the multiplication function as well. (I just havent had time to finish them yet :smile.gif: )
Anyone that browses the redstone forums and actually understands everything going is is good at redstone (circuits!).

I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death, Nor known to life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works
I'd like to think so. I'm at the point of redstone gadgets where I understand the majority of basic gates and their uses. I don't just build things, I try to find more efficient or compact ways to build things... heck, I've built my very large retracting hidden wall design at least 8 times now, all but the first being an exploration of how to make it better/quicker/smaller.
I actually find some fun in making the circuits smaller, it forces an understanding of how things actually work, and what is possible/impossible within the desired space given current tools.
I created a trap using pistons, redstone, and a stone pressure plate. Basically, you are walking through a tunnel when you step on an unnoticeable stone pressure plate, and then the cave in front and behind you gets closed off and you think "oh no, I'm trapped, I can just mine my way out." But then a piston above you is activated and exposes lava and you are burned to death
Everything can always be compacted and nothing will stop me from trying :biggrin.gif:.
My attitude towards my redstone creations. Because of this, nothing of mine is completely finished.
If, by some freak chance the usual nonsense I generate seems to help you, there's a nice shiny green + button to tell me that I'm doing the right thing
I started to actually make redstone stuff like an hour ago, and so far the best thing I've created is a 10-switch combination lock >.<
It's very easy to make a 100 lever non-order sensitive lock.

Avid redstone engineer, mostly with pistons. Latest thread: Piston Trains Revived If you find my post useful, click the +1 button! It shows other people that the post may be useful to them. Of course, it's completely optional. *cocks gun*
I just build practical things, such as traps or hidden doors, then work out how to compact it as much as possible. I can build a vertical hidden piston door within a 5x3x2 space.

A Runner's View! An awesome parkour map for 1.9 and up!
So far my best creation is a lever combination lock with a punishment system.

Lava pit with pulsing rocks for jump puzzle fun!

I feel weird if I actually have anything in my inventory!

EDIT: of course these are nothing compared to other games.
