Both can be equally healthy and unhealthy if done correctly or incorrectly.
Balance and moderation is key. Eating as little as possible of sugars, processed carbs and certain kinds of fats (eg trans fats) is ideal. Eat lots of vegetables, wholegrains and lean meats. Fruit makes a good snack though sugary. The wider the range of fruit/veges you eat the better generally.
I personally keep healthy by eating lots of the 'good' groups as described above but also allow myself to indulge a little as well- cookies, chocolate, soft drinks etc but in some kind of moderation.
You really can't go wrong with that. A lot of people really just need to eat smarter to be healthy. Why anyone eats, say, white bread, is beyond me when wholegrain bread is so delicious and so much better for you (and filling).
only two votes, lol, both were for low fat. interesting because high fat is much better, and saturated fats are good for you.
That's not strictly true, while saturated fat has become unfairly the scapegoat for the obesity epidemic, and while some saturated fats may have health effects, this is still only in small quantities. Large quantities of any fat is not a good thing. A fat free diet is a bad one, yes, but a moderate intake of fat is definitely better than a 'high fat' diet. Like I said, moderation is key.

Fat's not too bad. It's the carbs you have to look out for.
Cutting down on flour/rice/potato products tends to help weight loss, if that's what you're after.

fat isn't bad at all, the only "bad" fat is trans fats. We should be eating little to no carbs.
You're thinking of the Atkin's diet and similar diets where carbohydrates are almost entirely eliminated from the diet and more protein rich food such as meat is added. This is a temporary weight loss solution that not only doesn't work for everyone but can also be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Anything with regards to dieting can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.
Carbohydrates are found in a lot of foods that make up the staple of most people's diets. It's the starches and sugars in your fruit, beans, bread, pasta, rice and vegetables.
never heard of the atkins diet. its not about protein, its about fat rich food. It is very good for weight loss and also for general well being. It does work for everyone, were all human, humans have historically always eaten very little carbs and lots of fats. Only recently we have been avoiding fats and favouring carbs and what do you know obesity is at a high, so is diabetes, alzheimers, and other diseases. It does work for everyone because its how everyone should be eating.
Carbohydrates are primarily found in grains and starches, which has been implemented recently and is the source of many problems. The ONLY MAMMAL on earth who eats this way is birds.

Carbs are an important macromolecule, and not eating them will cause you to have low energy. Also, birds aren't mammals.
I don't like your title or poll. Because it is based on bad information.
A sedentary lifestyle is the worst in any diet. Single issues like a heavy fat diet are insignificant to being active. There is a period of human brain development that does require fats in significant amounts, namely 0 to five years. That one reason a lot of female mammals have high fat content in their milk.

Our family has been living on this diet:
Meat,Some vegetables, Meat fat,Unhomogenised milk,Water.
That's all that we have been eating and it has improved our lives in about 3 months.
3 months and your completely cured.
We believe this diet has changed our lives and has improved us a lot. And you eat fat with meat.
