No. I'd rather be invincible- that is, unable to die of unnatural causes but still passing away of old age as normal.
invincible and immortal are the same thing

“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” Marilyn Monroe
like a lot of people have already said, it depends on the immortality, there have been enough books covering it, and my favorite is The Night Angel Trilogy, in it, a mentor has lived for over 5,000 years, never able to die, he lost everyone he knew, made new friends, lost them, and slowly became callused and hard to the world, this is what would happen to you, everyone you know would die, an endless cycle of loss and pain. Heck, if this happened to me right now, I'd just run from everyone I know to avoid that pain, start a new life every ten years or so. goodbyes that are your choice are better than ones that aren't.

I kill creepers to make TNT to kill more creepers: it's a vicious cycle.
On one hand, immortality means that I will never die. Not after the end of all life. Not after the end of all stars. Not after the end of the universe itself. Forever, I would be trapped in eternal pain.
I would never want to be immortal. Losing everyone you care about, losing the planet you live on, eventually, as free hydrogen runs out, losing the stars, while you live on, sounds just too painful to bare.
Immortality would be in my opinion, the worst thing. What if you're sick of looking at yourself? And as someone else said, It's a fate worst than death..
You're body won't just become immune to pain.
That's not how stuff works.
And you may not have a body of a god. Who knows if you'll be working out, or eating doughnuts while on the computer.
There's no room for logic when you're already talking about being immortal.

You'd lose everyone you care about, and you'd eventually be all alone on what's left of Earth, with no one to socialize with. Ever.
It would be torture.
Now, if I could avoid dying from any means other than suicide, I'd want immortality. I'd be able to see all that humanity could accomplish, and when the human race reaches extinction, I'd off myself and join them.

Immunity to old age? No.
I agree with lesomaface.
Being "immortal" to diseases sounds like a good deal.
But never being able to die? That would be horrible.
Immortality is not a gift, it's a curse.
On the other hand, that would be goddamn awesome.
So yes, I want to be immortal.

I wanted to be one of the cool kids.
Being immortal would be wonderful.
