Immortality is a fate worse than death. There comes a point where you don't want to live, and the torture of not being able to die would literally be living hell.
My ideal life would be that I couldn't die from old age, but I could still kill myself when the time comes.

Killing yourself would be different as you would actually know that you will die
I would want to be able to only die when I want to. That way, if I am in a torture chair in 1000 years from now, I can kill myself to stop suffering. Or, if everything has been done, I would kill myself so I wouldnt ever be bored again.
You know what i would like to be immortal just to watch humanity progress trough the years and see evolution in progress see things happen that could not be see by a normal human like the movement of continents and just do all the things possible
it is true that you will lose everyone you care about but even in your normal life you will lose a lot of friends and family so i think i can get over that
But again its not clear what kind of immortality we are talking about do you mean eternal youth or just that you grow older and older
and can you heal quickly from wounds that kill normal people
Immortality means never dying at all.Not from a Gun,suicide or natural death or any other thing that is possibly lethal

Nah, there's a lot of consequence with becoming immortal which are stated above. Plus if you ever manage to get stuck in an area with no way out you're there forever.
Eventually the end of the world will come for real and you will be floating in space. Also since every year seems shorter than the last, months will become weeks, then days, then hours, then minutes, then seconds etc.
If I had the option of not dying from old age, but can still die from other means, then yes.
For me, it would be the exact opposite. I would only want to die from old age.
Invincibility sounds like an amazing thing. Of course, not feeling pain would also help.

Not dying from pain is different from feeling it. If I was immortal, but could still feel pain and cannot die from it no matter the amount, that would not be something I would not like to handle. However, if I can still die from such pain, but over come the natural process of old age, then that's fine. If I wanted to end my life I still could, but I would still like to live for thousands of years on end, as I think that would be an amazing experience, since you gain all the experience.
The idea of you living forever, including seeing the end of the Earth as you know it and everyone you know dying around you is mentally scarring. You can't do anything about it, and sooner or later you'd regret your decision.
It's a living hell.

I'm leaving the forum, if anyone cared. You can find me on OC or FFR.

I can't really see that happening; our planet is so dynamic your prison would eventually be eroded away even if people abandoned it. Worse case scenario you literally become a 'human fossil' in that you're compacted in a sedimentary layer (how the hell you're still alive at this point is irrelevant cause it's theory) and either uplifted in an earthquake or eventually metamorphise, turn into magma and erupt to the surface through a volcano of sorts (with any luck on Hawaii for a nice holiday).
Sure it wouldn't be fun spending thousands of years compacting into sandstone and then millions of years gradually heating as you sink deeper into the crust, but to be part of a volcanic eruption would be pretty badass.
Never. When you die, you won’t remember it because you’ll be dead. But when you’re immortal, it’s a bit scarier, because in a gazillion years, a century will become a planck frame if you’re immortal.

lol/Rant/Whatever of the…!: Beyond: Two Souls is a sad/depressing game. Not like the ending of Mother 3 isn’t more sad.

So? I'm sure there comes a point where you just don't care anymore.

Not my cup of tea <3
Ahh you see how are you supposed to get out if you are TRAPPED and cannot be KILLED but feel pain?
