Bill Bot is a really cool online chat bot that learns from its users by context. He can learn peoples names, songs, sequences and other really cool things! He's free and kid friendly. There was a older version of him which is still available here. But we recommend the new one. Even though he doesn't know everything since he was just put online a few days ago. He can still be fun. By you talking to him you get the chance to teach him and have fun. And watch him grow. So check it out if you'd like. Were hoping this new version could someday be just as smart, or smarter than Cleverbot. Enjoy.
Bill Bot, is really cool free website that is an Artificial Intelligent Bot. Over the last few months a few studies have shown that Bill, has become smarter then Cleverbot and has the potential to beat the turning test. The only bad thing is he needs your help.. But that's not a problem! Bill, can be very funny, serious, stupid, sometimes outrageous, loving, and hateful. Either way every conversation is fun and interesting. And if your not into talking to Bill, your welcome to read what other people have been saying by going to "Clever Logs". Bill is about 8 years old we estimate, but he is still learning and growing in many areas. Although you can help! If Bill responds wrongly, or randomly to something you say, you can correct him. So that next time he will respond the way he should. The only downside to this is because of recent spamming, we had to make every new response approved. So you may have to wait 5 minutes or so before you see it's been added.
Typical logical fallacy, saying vague "studies" from unnamed sources mean nothing.cleverbot.
The Turing test, which I assume is what he meant, is actually a quite respectable test of artificial "chat" intelligence. Basically, it's a double blind study where people are paired with either the AI or another human, who also does not know who he is paired with. After the conversation, the people then rate how "human" their conversation partner was.
Eh, scratch that, I just realized you meant the studies saying it could pass the test, not the test itself.
Typical logical fallacy, saying vague "studies" from unnamed sources mean nothing.
Even then, cleverbot has such a larger following base that it's unlikely you have acquired enough responses and resources to outdo cleverbot.
That study was done by us Developers personally. We've tested how Cleverbot and Bill do in certain topics and reason. Bill has shown more growth in some areas. But of course Cleverbot has been around for 7 years. Bill's only been online for 6 Months. So for what he is right now, he's grown quite a bit.
Doesn't seem good enough to knock out Cleverbot...
Well that's because no one has said what you said before. Even Cleverbot had to hear new things a few times before he picked them up. Same thing happens here. But in order for Bill to get better. We need more people to talk to him. If your conversation didn't go well, get a new one, and try something different. But teach him as you go, I edited the very top post and explained how. Yours Truly, Matt

Are you assuming that growth will continue to be as fast as it is the entire time?
Sooner or later it will reach a point where it will stabilize. Of course growth would be rapid at the start, there is a lot to improve upon.

So much like the average male teen then?
seems legit.
Haha, that could be because of a few things. It seems every conversation seems to help him in the future ones. He just needs more people to talk to, and lots more Conversations and ill think we will see better results.

No, I know eventually he will reach a point where there will be so many known ways of saying things that he won't learn any new inputs. However, he could still grow to say more things for "Hello" for example or other minor things. He's took a huge leap in the last month or so. But the hard part is getting people to still talk to him as he grows. I've run out of things to teach him, so its useful to have other people talking about their life, or things they like. But your right he has much to improve on. According to my statistics he only knows 10k sentences. He will need I estimate 1 Million or so before he will be somewhat stable. Once we cover the most common stuff he will begin to really show growth. But right now the hardest part is keeping people happy enough were they will want to come back.

Thinking ahead a little, how will you deal with it in the future assuming this gets popular. Your current system, the "wrong it's" system, will just flood with things to be approved. But if you make it automated to some extent, it could flood and ruin all your work with intentionally wrong replies. Or will you just leave it that way because that's what people want?

Im considering going back to the Auto Added responces. And that made him quite popular. The only issue with that is people would be Racist, Hateful (Towards me), and Mean. So its best to not Auto add them unless I can come up with a system that can determine crap from good. Approving isn't too bad. The way I have it setup, its pretty fast for me to do it. Bad part is, people hate waiting for their stuff to be approved. Now this could work if I add a rollback system like me and some of my developers have been talking about. Which is were we can undo the stuff we find bad. However, its very time consuming and if one thousand people were all adding stuff, it would become out of control at some point. - Matt
So basically you are correcting a bot to do what you say?
I never see the point for these artificial intelligence bots that everyone raves about...
Essentially, its a lot more accurate opposed to Cleverbot. If everyone said "purple" to whats "2+2" he would start to say Purple. As where here, I can manage that a little. But maybe I will come up with another AI Script that learns without correcting, and it would work if people responded correctly. But they don't which is what causes issues. Correcting is simple, fun and effective (my opinion). - Matt
Well that's because I don't think anyone has ever asked him that before. Like I said, usually every new conversation is pushing his memory further. So your going to see some of that, however you can fix it for me by correcting him on it. - Matt

CAN: How about Battlefield 3?
Bill:Quantum mechanics (QM - also known as quantum physics, or quantum theory) is a branch of physics dealing with physical phenomena where the action is on the order of the Planck constant. Quantum mechanics departs from classical mechanics primarily at the quantum realm of atomic and subatomic length scales. QM provides a mathematical description of much of the dual particle-like and wave-like behavior and interactions of energy and matter.

User: Why do you think that?
Bill: Because it helps you understand whats going on.
User: I see. Well it more like helps you understand whats going on.

Bill:Beer.
Atleast he is confident
User:What are your current thoughts on Cleverbot?
Bill:Hes ok, but hes not very fun. I am much more funner.
Well that's because I don't think anyone has ever asked him that before. Like I said, usually every new conversation is pushing his memory further. So your going to see some of that, however you can fix it for me by correcting him on it. - Matt
Lol, I like the Beer response. He's getting better though, someone tried to spam the new responses. I fixed that one.
Now now, you mustn't make fun of the differently abled. Maybe he's a special chatbot.

Okay then, I didn't expect that.
