So today at the barber, I found myself having a staring contset with myself in the mirror (I know, shut up). When I finally blinked, I had this question: who won? Assuming that the mirror reflects stuff in real time, then I tied with myself. But since light travels at a finite speed, then did my real self lose? Answer please. Thx.
The human eye works via refraction of energy in the visible light spectrum. The refraction is caused by an electron absorbing the energy and moving up a layer, the releasing slightly less energy and moving back.
Based on that, you lost, as your reflection didn't blink until that radiation refracted off of you and traveled to the surface of the mirror.
Assuming that you were sitting 1,5 m away from the mirror, you've lost by 0.01001 microseconds (from your perspective). Reflexion wins.
How the **** does the reflection win? HE is the one blinking. The reflection copies what he does.
By your logic the reflection knows what he is doing before he does.
Light does not travel instantaneously, so no, it isn't a tie.

How does this make you feel?
No. Your reflection is not you.

Oh and BTW, try a silence match with your reflection. Surprised I was never told to before.....
SH maps beaten: Sea of Flame II, Infernal Sky II, Kaizo Caverns, Nightmare Realm, Sunburn Islands, Spellbound Caves, Waking Up and counting....
And who else was blinking a lot during this thread?
OT: IT's A TIE DAMNIT!
